The power vested in Sharon Stone wasn't strong enough to hold together the first marriage she performed back in 2004.
Almost 5 years after Stone went through the trouble of becoming a mail-order minister just so she could officiate the wedding of restaurateur Michael Bourseau and stylist Brenda Swanson -- the couple is filing for divorce.
But Sharon isn't the only celebrity to blame for jinxing the doomed ceremony -- Jack Nicholson and Robert Wagner served as witnesses.
As for the couple -- they cited irreconcilable differences. They have no kids together.
No word if Stone will perform the divorce.

Jack Nicholson claims he stuck his neck out for a famous Hollywood producer -- and according to a new lawsuit, it cost him big time.
According to papers filed today in in L.A. County Superior Court, Jack claims former studio exec Mark Canton hasn't repaid a $1.2 million loan that he owes Nicholson.
It's a long complicated businessy thing -- but the long story short is Jack says Canton first owed the money to the bank, but Jack bought the loan when Canton defaulted.
Which means Canton is in the hole to Jack for the remaining debt -- $1.2 mil.
Jack is suing for his jack -- plus interest.

He may be 71, but Jack Nicholson still runs the streets of L.A. -- and last night he proved it, accusing some guy of the ultimate double cross. 
When Jack started getting frustrated with the paparazzi attention he was getting outside of Madeo, he took out his anger on one particular autograph seeker -- and point blank accused the guy of selling out his location to the snappers.
But when the guy denied the charge, Jack shot back with the following awesomeness: "I know the street as well as they do, you brought 'em."
There's more, it's pretty awesome.
After learning there was a warrant for her arrest stemming from her 2007 DUI, Lindsay Lohan fled Chateau Marmont for sanctuary Friday night -- at Jack Nicholson's house!?
