Brooke Shields and Jim Belushi survived a minor plane crash at the famous Hearst Castle a few days ago ... once again proving Brooke Shields is nothing short of a real life Zelig.
It all went down on Friday at the private landing strip on the Hearst Castle estate -- San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Dept. tells TMZ Shields and Belushi were being flown to an event at the castle.
The Cessna prop plane landed safely ... but here's the problem -- the pilot forgot to set the parking brake after the plane came to a stop. He was in the back helping Brooke and Jim out ... when the plane rolled into a 2010 Buick SUV. The wing struck the SUV ... but the SUV got the worst of it.
We're told no one was injured, but the NTSB was notified.
This is the 4th time -- that we know of -- that Brooke has landed in the middle of a celebrity news event.

Taking a page from the Britney Spears Child Safety Driving Manual, a cigar-smoking Jim Belushi walked his dogs this weekend by attaching them to a scooter as he rode (helmet-less) on the wrong side of the road -- with his bicycle helmeted six-year-old son in his lap. Gimme, gimme more!
Is he really a father or does he just play one on TV?

Bulky necro-star Jim Belushi was spotted tootling down a Beverly Hills street yesterday on an electric scooter, with his terrifed looking daughter, Jamison.

Jim Belushi may have been shaking his groove thing with Lisa Rinna, but don't bet on seeing him on 'Dancing with the Stars' anytime soon. The 'According to Jim' star almost busted more than a move when he fell off a platform while celebrating the grand opening of Rande Gerber's Cherry nightclub at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas.
Sorry Jim, but this time what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas!
