There's a bottom line to the divorce between Kelis and Nas, and it's money, money, money.
According to docs filed by Kelis' lawyer, disso queen Laura Wasser, the financial wizards have reviewed the earning of both parties to the divorce, and they've come to these conclusions.
-- Nas pulls in $244,826 a month
-- Kelis rakes in a relatively paltry $13,744 a month
-- Kelis should get child support totaling $17,225 a month
-- Kelis should get spousal support totaling $72,728
-- Nas should pay retro child support totaling $29,522
-- Nas should pay retro spousal support totaling $281,571

Maybe it's true love, maybe it's for the welfare of the child, or maybe it's because of the title of his new show -- whatever it is, Patricia Arquette has called off her divorce to Thomas Jane.

Arquette filed for divorce back in January, citing irreconcilable differences -- apparently they were, in fact, reconcilable. She filed legal docs today asking that the divorce petition be dismissed.
And Patricia's change of heart is a good thing for Thomas: Arquette was repped by disso-queen Laura Wasser -- which means he would have been on food stamps by the time she was done with him.

Kate Walsh's accounting firm did not get the protective order it was after -- the judge felt it wasn't necessary to order estranged hubby Alex Young to stop demanding financial info.
Young has been on the firm's ass, demanding to know exactly how much he's owed for the house he and Kate purchased together. Fact is -- the house has gone down in value since they bought it in 2007.
Alex has not only made repeated demands on the firm, but today in court Kate's lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser, said he's been on ABC network's ass as well, demanding financial info. Wasser said ABC will be asking for a protective order against Young. Famous pit bull lawyer Marty Singer (one of Walsh's lawyer's) will also ask for a protective order this morning.
Young's lawyer, Jeff Sturman, told us, "The judge found there was no basis for a protective order ... that the accounting firm filed it's motion prematurely and without attempting to informally resolve matters. And the accounting firm was required to pay approximately $6,100 in Young's fees."
The couple was only married for 14 months before separating.

UPDATE: 7:16 PM ET We just got the papers Mel's lawyer filed with the court, in which he said Mel believes he "cannot have a fair and impartial trial or hearing before Judge Ongkeko." The case has now been removed to Judge Frederick Shaller, but expect the whole case to be handled by a "private judge" -- and that should happen soon.
Mel Gibson already has issues with his divorce -- at least his lawyer does.
We've learned ... Bob Kaufman, Mel's attorney, filed legal papers yesterday to boot the judge from the case -- Hon. Rafael Ongkeko. Each side is entitled to ding a judge from hearing the case, but that can only be done in the first 10 days. Your move Laura Wasser.
Here's the reality. The chances that a judge in the L.A. County Courthouse will actually hear Mel's divorce case are slim to none. That's because both Kaufman and Wasser almost always get a "private" judge to hear their high-profile cases, away from the public glare.

Mel Gibson has filed his response to wife Robyn's divorce petition -- and it only took a matter of hours.

Gibson, unlike his wife, gives a specific date of separation -- the papers say the date is August 26, 2006. The date is hugely significant -- Mel's infamous DUI arrest was less than a month earlier -- July 28, 2006. Gibson cited irreconcilable differences.
As we reported, Robyn and Mel grew apart after the arrest. The date Gibson lists for separation confirms this.
Gibson also lists "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce.
Gibson is repped by prominent divorce lawyer Robert Kaufman, whose celeb clients include Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Reese Witherspoon.

We've learned Mel Gibson's wife Robyn has just filed legal papers to divorce Mel Gibson, her husband of 28 years, citing "irreconcilable differences." Pretty ironic -- Robyn signed the papers the day before Good Friday.

Sources tell us there is no prenuptial agreement -- they were married in 1980, before Mel Gibson amassed a fortune estimated at $900 million back in 2006. Under the laws of California, community property -- which includes earnings -- is divided 50/50.
The Gibsons have 7 children, but only one -- Tom, who turns 10 tomorrow -- is a minor. In Robyn's legal papers, filed this morning in L.A. County Superior Court, she seeks joint physical and legal custody of Tom.
Robyn is also asking for spousal support and attorneys fees.
Robyn lists the date of separation as "to be determined." This is important, because earnings generally cease to be community property when the couple separates. There could be a skirmish over this. We're told the couple grew increasingly apart over the last few years, especially since Mel's drunk driving arrest in 2006.
There have been reports that Mel has been involved with another woman, which the actor denies, but we're told the reasons for the divorce go beyond any third party.
If there is a fight, Robyn is in good hands -- she's repped by disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has handled divorces for the likes of Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder.
UPDATE: Robyn and Mel Gibson just issued a statement: "Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so."
Sources tell TMZ the couple has been separated for more than 2 1/2 years. We'll see if Robyn agrees. Again, the separation date is important in dividing assets.

The ex of Jimmy Iovine may have thought she was the one doing the dumping when she filed for divorce last week, but apparently Jimmy checked out of the marriage long before she did.
According to Jimmy's response filed yesterday, the couple separated on January 15. But Vicky Iovine is under the impression the marriage ended a month later on February 15.
And get this -- despite being worth more than almost everyone, Jimmy wants each side to pay their own legal fees.
But Jimmy's got one powerful thing on his side -- Disso Queen Laura Wasser is his lawyer.

It's official... Britney Spears will go on tour -- for a price.
We've learned Jamie Spears and K-Fed have now both signed the document we told you about last week, which clears the path for Brit taking her kids on the road for her upcoming concert tour. What, you ask, is in it for Federline?? How bout $5,000 a week.
As we first reported, the way the deal goes is Jayden James and Sean Preston will follow Britney to three hubs -- New Jersey, New Orleans and Los Angeles. Britney will commute back and forth from each hub during the tour. She's also renting houses in New Jersey and New Orleans for Kevin if he wants to come along for the ride. But K-Fed gets the $5,000 a week, whether he shows up or not.
But wait, there's more. We've learned the deal Jamie and K-Fed signed memorializes the custody arrangement they've all been following since last year. Britney gets the kids 3 days and nights a week, according to the new agreement, which will remain in effect after the tour is over. We're also told many weeks, Britney has the kids more than Kevin. So in effect it's 50/50 custody.
Score another victory for Brit's lawyer, Laura Wasser, who sealed the deal.

Naveen Andrews has just left family court with his son, and the baby mama is sitting on the courthouse steps bawling.

The "Lost" star and Elena Eustache, the mother of three-year-old Naveen Joshua, were in L.A. County Superior Court, where a judge changed the custody order after Elena allegedly took the boy out of L.A. County without permission. Naveen also claimed Elena kept the boy from him.
The parents had joint custody, but today, with the help of disso-queen Laura Wasser, the order was modified so Naveen now has sole physical and legal custody pending a full hearing next month.
We're told Elena has alleged Naveen's girlfriend, Barbara Hershey, practices witchcraft and that Naveen and Hershey have poisoned the boy. In response, Wasser asked the judge to order Elena to undergo psychiatric testing.
Elena brought the boy to court. After the ruling, the bailiff took the boy from Elena and gave him to Naveen, who left the courthouse with Hershey.
Under the new order, the boy is allowed to travel to Hawaii where Naveen films "Lost". He can be accompanied either by Naveen or Hershey.
After the hearing, Elena told TMZ, "I can't believe celebrities and their money. They always get what they want."
The pic above shows the boy, Naveen, Laura Wasser and Barbara Hershey leaving court. Elena is in the pic on right.

It's official: Britney Spears is sane again. The lawyer who quit Brit when she was crazy is coming back, hot as ever.
Britney walked into court today with Laura Wasser -- who, you'll recall, is the one who scored joint custody for Brit even as she was melting down. Wasser quit the case after Spears repeatedly ignored her advice. For Wasser to return, it's a signal that the Brit ship is back on an even keel -- kinda sorta.
As for the hearing -- the Commish awarded Britney overnight visitation with her JJ and SPF. Pack your PJs, boys!
The Commish said he was pleased with the progress made on both sides.

Linda Hogan Can't Even Call 911 Right

It takes a special kind of person to call 911 and get reprimanded by the operator who is trying to help you. Linda Hogan is just that special.
Hulk's soon-to-be ex called the cops back on May 22, claiming the Hulkster was camped outside her house, when a court order -- she claims -- prevented him from doing so. According to
the police report, Linda was leaving her house when she spotted Hulk driving towards it -- so she decided to follow him!
So when she called 911, and explained she was following the man she claimed was harassing her, the 911 operator scolded her, saying, "Ma'am, ma'am -- stop following him!"
The case was closed on June 2 and no charges were filed.
Shaq Attacks Kobe: You Ruined My Marriage!
You've
never seen a Shaq Attack like this.

Shaquille O'Neal took the mic at a NYC club last night, unleashing a freestyle verbal assault directed at his arch-enemy Kobe Bryant -- blaming his former teammate for ruining his marriage and imploring him to "Tell me how my ass tastes."
After spending several verses shredding Kobe apart for losing in the NBA playoffs, Shaq drops the line, "I'm a horse, Kobe ratted me out, that's why I'm getting divorced."

The line most likely references a comment Kobe made during his infamous 2003 rape case, when he told Colorado police that he "Should have done what Shaq does ... Shaq would pay his women not to say anything." The two became famously bitter rivals after the incident.
Calls to Kobe's reps were not returned.
Violent Surfers Shred Paps Over McConaughey
Private security was hired to patrol the beach where Matthew McConaughey surfs -- but that didn't stop another brutal beach beatdown from taking place yesterday between a band of violent locals and the paparazzi.

On Sunday, after a beachgoer chucked a beer bottle at one of the paps on the shore, an all-out brawl took place by the water -- ending with some badly busted-up faces and a lot of ruined camera equipment. This followed a brawl on Saturday in which one photog had to use a tripod to defend himself.
Though the L.A. County Sheriffs Department eventually showed up, no arrests were made.

It's official: Britney Spears is sane again. The lawyer who quit Brit when she was crazy is coming back, hot as ever.

Sources connected to the case tell us disso-queen Laura Wasser is back in as her family law attorney. Court documents will be filed today making it official. Wasser, you'll recall, is the one who scored joint custody for Brit, even as she was melting down. Wasser quit the case after Spears repeatedly ignored her advice. For Wasser to return, it's a signal that the Brit ship is back on an even keel -- kinda sorta.
Wasser has repped everyone with failed marriages under the sun, including Angelina Joile, Kiefer Sutherland and Denise Richards. She also served as legal consultant to the movie "Liar, Liar," a credit that surely qualifies her for the Supreme Court.
The buzz ... that Wasser will move to win back joint custody by summer's end.
Stay tuned.

Britney's ex-lawyer -- and legal hottie -- Laura Wasser was spotted at the same Los Angeles court where Spears is set to show up to this afternoon, but it's purely coincidence.
Wasser had only good things to say about Brit's current help, telling TMZ, "I wish her the best of luck, she has very, very competent attorneys in there with her right now."
While she wouldn't comment too much on the case, she did have one good thing to say about Brit and K-Fed -- "I know they both care about them [Jayden and Sean Preston] a lot."

TMZ was in court a few minutes ago, while Britney and K-Fed's lawyers were duking it out over custody.
The judge asked if County Counsel was present. You'll recall, County Counsel represents the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, which had been investigating if Britney was guilty of bad dental hygiene for her kids. We were told that investigation was all but closed.
Today, Wasser pretty much made it clear -- DCFS has closed the investigation. Responding to the judge's question about County Counsel, Wasser said, "They're not coming. This is much adieu about ..." Before she could say "nothing," K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, jumped up and asked the judge to clear the courtroom of media. We left, but the cat's out of the bag.

TMZ has learned famed divorce lawyer Laura Wasser wants to quit Brit.
Sources connected to her divorce case tell us Wasser is about to resign as Spears' attorney. The disso-queen, who has repped scores of stars including Angelina Jolie and Nick Lachey, sealed the deal on the divorce late last month. Now that the divorce is done, Wasser is done.
We're told Wasser has put Spears in touch with other lawyers who could help the singer in her ongoing custody battle with Fed-Ex, but Spears has become so reliant on Wasser she doesn't like any of the alternatives. There's probably good reason -- with Spears flipping out before our eyes, it's pretty amazing Wasser was able to get a 50/50 custody split in the settlement.
As for why Wasser wants out, we're guessin' crisis of conscience.
Wasser didn't return our calls.

The attorneys for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline want to keep the custody proceedings between them private -- to avoid the kind of scene that took place outside court today.
Today's hearing was a bunch of nothing -- Britney and Fed-Ex weren't even there. So imagine the surprise of disso-queen Laura Wasser, who challenged a cacophony of photogs who stalked her down the street. "Britney and Kevin join in trying to keep the documents regarding their children private," Wasser opined. "And if you look around, you guys will understand why that is." Oh snap, she means us!
When one photog pressed Wasser about what might be in the custody documents, Wasser shot back, "There are things in there that aren't anybody else's business except for the families." But hey -- Britney's hoo-hoo isn't anyone else's business and we see that all the time!
