She was rushed to the hospital with chest pains earlier this month -- but today, Mariska Hargitay was the one causing palpitations ... by looking so damn hot.
Hargitay was on the "Law & Order: SVU" set today in NY for her first day back since her heath scare, where she told us she was feeling "good."

Considering she was hospitalized with shortness of breath the night before, it wasn't really a surprise Mariska Hargitay wasn't on the "Law & Order: SVU" set yesterday. But her co-star Ice-T assured us, even though he didn't know much, she's doing "alright."

Mariska Hargitay was rushed to a hospital in New York last night after suffering chest pains.
This is the third time Hargitay has been hospitalized since December -- the previous two times were for a collapsed lung.
We're told Mariska complained of chest pains while on the set of "Law & Order: SVU," but was taken to the hospital after filming.
Our cameras happened to catch up with Mariska Sunday night and she told us her health was "good."

The baby, who was a week overdue, was born by Caesarean section Wednesday in Los Angeles, weighing 10 pounds, 9 ounces, the magazine said. "Mother and baby are doing wonderfully," Hargitay's publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, was quoted as saying. "She is ecstatic -- over the moon." Messages left for Zelnik were not immediately returned Thursday. Hargitay, 42, and Hermann, an actor, married in August 2004. 
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Mariska Hargitay, star of NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," and her husband, Peter Hermann, have welcomed their first child, a son named August, People magazine reports.
