Rob Thomas' band may wanna keep their sticks where they belongs -- gripped firmly in their drummer's hands.
Lisa Gelbard is suing Thomas' company Bidnis because she claims a drumstick thrown into the crowd at one of his 2005 solo concerts smacked her in the face -- causing her to suffer a herniated disk.
Lisa's hubby, who's included in the lawsuit and attended the concert with her, says he's suffered "the loss of his wife's services, support, consortium and the care and comfort of her society."
Rob's rep has yet to throw anything our way.

A booking company is pissed that Matchbox Twenty just pulled out of performing at Cheyenne Frontier Days -- which claims to be the world's biggest outdoor rodeo -- because of the "mistreatment of animals" at the event. So the company has decided to sue ... animal activists!?
Romeo Entertainment is claiming that animal activist group SHARK contacted agents for Matchbox Twenty -- and used "false and misleading information and the threat of negative publicity" to get the fading band to drop out of their July 18 performance.
This isn't the first time Romeo claims SHARK has bit them in the ass.

Matchbox 20 is canceling a show at Cheyenne Frontier Days -- which bills itself as the world's biggest outdoor rodeo -- over their newfound concern for the animals involved. Did they not know what a rodeo was?
Lead singer Rob Thomas and his wife, Marisol, posted this statement on the band's website: "We ask that (fans) please understand that it would be impossible for us to put ourselves in the position of making money from what we believe to be the mistreatment of animals."
But get this: the band is still scheduled to perform at the North Dakota State Fair -- which also includes rodeo events. They'll figure it out eventually.

How did Madonna get the nickname "Madge"? --Melissa
Melissa, lots of people have to be wondering the same thing. "Madge" is a name the UK press gave to Madonna, a shortened combo version of "Her Majesty" and "Madonna." No one in her professional or personal life refers to her by that name ... we're guessing it didn't stick, or she just doesn't care for it!
