Lawrence Taylor has a storied history of substance abuse, but Miami cops tell TMZ the NFL legend looked completely sober when he was arrested late last night.
Cops say despite his bloodshot eyes in the mugshot, Taylor -- who's been arrested twice on drug-related charges in the past -- was so coherent when he was arrested for hit-and-run last night , that officers didn't feel the need to perform a sobriety test.
As TMZ first reported, Taylor was busted after cops say he left the scene of a car accident. Cops believe Taylor hit another car and then a guard rail ... and then drove away from the scene.
We're told no one was injured.
Cops tell us when they found Taylor, he was standing outside of his car -- which was missing a front tire. The tire was found at the scene of the crash .. which means Taylor may have driven several miles on just the axle.
We're told Taylor was very cooperative when he was arrested -- he was eventually released on $500 bond.
UPDATE: We've learned Taylor was driving a white Cadillac Escalade and the vehicle he hit was a 1984 Ford van. Cops also tell us Taylor was arrested two miles from the crash scene ... where his front right tire was knocked off his car.

The former music producer for Britney Spears, 50 Cent and Mariah Carey continues his legendary fall from grace -- Scott Storch has lost his massive Miami Mansion.
SunTrust Bank took back ownership of the home Storch defaulted on last July, buying it back at an auction on Friday for $5.5 million.
The 10-bedroom, 16-bath home was valued at around $7 million.
The bank had been trying to foreclose on Storch for months, but couldn't because he had declared for bankruptcy (it was recently dismissed).

An openly gay Miami news anchor has officially been fired from his job, just one week after the guy filed a sexual discrimination complaint against his bosses -- and the anchor claims the timing is no coincidence.
The man in the center of the controversy is Charles Perez -- who you may remember from "Inside Edition" or his nationally syndicated talk show, "The Charles Perez Show."
The drama all began in June, when Perez was "demoted" from the local ABC nightly evening newscast to the weekend edition -- and Perez claims it was because the station felt he was "becoming too gay" for the public to handle.
Perez decided to file a complaint with the Miami-Dade County Equal Opportunity Board, in which he details a performance review, where one of his bosses warned him that he smiled on air too much and that he and his female co-anchor were "like girlfriends while on the set."

Apparently, he learned nothing from that Augustus Gloop dude.

Vince Shlomi, aka the ShamWow guy, has been injured yet again ... but this time in a non-prostitute fight kind of way.
Miami Beach police tell us the television pitch-man was involved in a head-on collision in Miami Beach late Thursday night. Three vehicles were involved in the accident -- and Shlomi was in one of the two vehicles that struck each other head-on at an intersection. Random Pixels first reported the incident. There were no fatalities.
Mount Sinai hospital in Miami Beach confirms that Shlomi was taken to the ER as a result of the collision, but was released around 6 a.m. Friday morning -- just in time to catch one of his commercials on reruns.

See that little car Chris Brown's getting out of? That's one of the most expensive pieces of automotive machinery on the planet -- an ultra-rare $1.5 million Bugatti Veyron ... and no one is more deserving than that guy (insert sarcasm here).
Dude took his ride out shopping in Miami Beach this weekend -- where he proved that a 1001 horsepower motor will make everyone forget that pesky little incident back in February...

The Kardashian family has been hit by vandals.
We've learned Dash, the new South Florida boutique, owned by Kim and her two sisters has been defaced just before the grand opening tomorrow.
The Miami Beach store -- which sells clothes and other stuff -- is now a crime scene. Cops are there trying to determine if someone broke in and if the vandals were specifically targeting K.K.

While he waits to undergo surgery to replace his aortic valve, Robin Williams enjoyed a peaceful walk along Miami Beach with a female friend this weekend.
The rehabbed 57-year-old was forced to suspend his one-man show tour after suffering shortness of breath last week.
No word when the heart surgery will take place.

Chris Brown had a blast on a jet ski Thursday in Miami, where he's spending time with Rihanna -- the woman he allegedly beat just weeks earlier.
Chris -- who looks like he's recreating the wind up leading to the punch that left Rihanna bloodied and bruised -- doesn't seem to have a care in the world.
And here's an interesting tidbit: Rihanna is being shadowed by one of Jay Z's beefy bodyguards.
