Michael Douglas' Kid Dropped from Movie

Cameron DouglasWe can't for the life of us figure out why the producers of the film "The Beautiful Outsiders" would drop Cameron Douglas from the movie as both an actor and associate producer.

Unless of course it's the whole "could face life in prison on charges of selling meth" thing.

Whatever the reason, Andrew Jones, the director and producer of the film, released a statement today saying Douglas is done with the project, saying, "The serious nature of the allegations means it is highly unlikely that Cameron would be able to travel, so it would be impossible for him to be in the UK for filming. And with charges of this nature hanging over for him, it would be very difficult for us to get insurance for him."

Ahhhhhhhh, so it is the whole "could face life in prison on charges of selling meth" thing.

Douglas faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum period of life.

DEA -- Douglas' Son Moved 'Pounds' of Meth

Michael Douglas' SonThe DEA claims Michael Douglas' son Cameron is a big time crystal meth dealer -- one who moved "pounds" of the drug since 2006.

According to his federal complaint filed in New York, DEA agents claim they ran a 3-year investigation, proving the 30-year-old actor sold "multiple pounds" of crystal meth to several people -- many of whom are now cooperating in the prosecution of Douglas.

All three witnesses mentioned in the document have pled guilty to narcotics violations. They are cooperating in the hopes of receiving a reduced sentence.

Douglas has been charged with one count of possession with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of crystal meth and one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of "Ice" -- which is the purest form of meth.

The DEA further alleges that Cameron deposited and withdrew tens of thousands of dollars in cash from the drug deals.

According to the indictment, Douglas was set up in New York after agents ran a sting operation-- in which they caught Douglas accepting $15,000 in cash in exchange for a promise to deliver a half pound of crystal meth.

Douglas later followed up with the drug buyer and had the following conversation, using drug code:

Buyer: "The bath salts are fabulous! Thank you so much."
Douglas: "Yeah, I thought you would like them my friend ... I was so excited for you to take a bath and see for yourself."

The docs say the sting hauled in somewhere around 215.2 grams of "ice."

If convicted on all counts, Douglas faces 10 years to life in prison.

Michael Douglas' Son Busted for MethWe've learned Michael Douglas' son -- actor Cameron Douglas -- has been arrested in New York City for possession of methamphetamines with the intent to distribute.

It's not the first time Cameron has been busted for drugs. Back in 2007 he was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after cops found a syringe with liquid cocaine in a car he was in.

The mugshot in this article is from his 2007 arrest.

We're told the 30-year-old actor was taken into custody by federal authorities earlier today. He remains in custody.

Douglas & Zeta-Jones Make Photog Sweat

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones really made one TMZ photog work hard for the money shot last night -- faking him out at Xi'an in Beverly Hills.

The A-listers exited the restaurant, to find that the valet had brought the wrong white SUV for them. It appeared that Michael didn't know if the boxy ride was his or not, until the valet said it was a Land Rover ... Douglas owns a sleek Lexus.

The two went back inside the restaurant and our photog waited for the right car to pull up -- it never did. Douglas and Zeta-Jones ended up sneaking out the back -- but TMZ ran back there just in time to get a quick wave from Catherine as they took off!

Michael Douglas Lost in Translation

Click to return to TMZ.comMichael Douglas couldn't stop laughing when he misunderstood a French reporter's question about "focus on film." Michael thought the phrase meant doing something a whole lot dirtier -- something we can't repeat without a lot of asterisks.

The interview took place at Sundance, where Douglas can be seen in "King of California."

Douglas suffers from a failure to communicate in this video, but it's impressive that he at least tries to do an interview in a foreign language! Focus on film!

A Quarter Century Never Looked So Good

Click here to return to TMZ.comOn September 25, 1969 in Swansea, Wales Catherine Zeta-Jones was being delivered from her mother's womb into the world. On that same day, her husband Michael Douglas was celebrating his 25th birthday.

On Sunday, Michael and Catherine commemorated the eve of their shared birthdays by having dinner at London's Wolseley Restaurant.

Monday also marked an extra special day for Michael because besides turning 62, he is now eligible to start receiving his federal retirement benefits. Obviously, Catherine still has a ways to go as she's only 37.

While there's no word on how the duo will spend their day, one thing's for sure, with 99 candles between them, they're going to need one mighty large cake.

Despite their quarter century age difference, the Oscar-winning actors have been happily married for nearly six years and have two children together.

Owen's Eyeful

Owen Wilson: Click to watchThough Owen Wilson definitely expected questions about co-star Kate Hudson at their new film's London premiere, one thing he probably didn't expect was a flasher.

After calling for Wilson's attention, a woman inside a bar located behind the "You, Me and Dupree" press line lifted up her shirt and flashed her breasts at the actor.

When asked what he thought of the gesture Wilson told one reporter, "Wow! I kind of lost my train of thought with that one."

His "Dupree" co-star Michael Douglas also showed some confusion when the woman then decided to flick "V" signs at him.

Wilson Tightlipped About Hudson

Owen Wilson: Click to watchWith Kate Hudson absent from tonight's UK premiere of "You, Me and Dupree," co-stars Owen Wilson and Michael Douglas were bombarded with questions about the newly separated actress.

While speaking of a co-star's well-being would normally be tough as it is, Wilson had an even more daunting task of avoiding questions regarding a rumored affair he had with the blonde actress.

Owen didn't offer much to probing reporters saying, "I assume she's in California ... I think she's doing fine, yeah" before moving down the arrival line.

Meanwhile, Michael Douglas offered his sympathy for the actress saying, "Chris Robinson is a great guy and she is and I wish them well. They've got a young child and they'll do the best they can."

It's All About Eva

Citing Felicity Huffman's recent success in 'Transamerica' as an inspiration, Eva Longoria says she wants to be able to do both TV and film. Eva got her chance, via a personal invite from Michael Douglas, in the new thriller, 'The Sentinel.'

Longoria says she enjoyed offsetting the estrogen-dominated 'Desperate Housewives' with the testosterone-filled set of 'The Sentinel.'

The film, also starring Kiefer Sutherland and Kim Basinger, hits theaters April 21.

Michael Douglas Sets the Record Straight on Brangelina

Calling the misquotes "unfortunate," a newly bearded Michael Douglas sat down with 'EXTRA' to set the record straight about a controversial article that has him bashing Brad and Angelina.

A recent issue of GQ Magazine printed Douglas saying, "I don't know about Brad Pitt leaving that beautiful wife to go hold orphans for Angelina. I mean how long is that going to last?"

Michael tells 'EXTRA' that is inaccurate. "It was a lengthy article," he says, "[it] must've been 20 hours of tape recording so I asked to hear the tape recording and the reporter said, 'Well I turned the tape recorder off.' And I said, 'Well you had it on for the whole time.' So I didn't say it."

Michael Douglas at Davos' World Economic Forum

BY The Associated Press

DAVOS, Switzerland -- Michael Douglas knows that those who attend the World Economic Forum can move mountains and make mounds of money.

But a little star power -- be it Bono, Angelina Jolie or Peter Gabriel -- never hurts.

"It's an impressive group, to say the least, that covers a broad spectrum," said the 61-year-old actor-producer, adding that the free-flow nature of the event promotes dialogue in a friendly environment.

"People seem to let their hair down a little bit and loosen their ties. And there is a lot of give and share that's going on both in front on the panels and behind," Douglas told The Associated Press.

"So it's a learning experience for me and, I guess my from end, I hope they will recognize as they have from Bono's efforts and others, that many of us on the entertainment side can talk about the issues," he said.

Douglas won a best-actor Oscar for his role in 1987's "Wall Street." He also has starred in "Fatal Attraction," "Traffic" and "Wonder Boys," among other films.
