Darryl Strawberry: My Partying Days Are Over

He's got the tax man breathing down his back -- but there's one thing MLB bad boy Darryl Strawberry isn't worrying about: Finding the hottest club in NYC.

Strawberry -- who was in and out of jail numerous times in the last 10 years for solicitation and drug related incidents -- says "them days are over for me."

Though currently filming "Celebrity Apprentice," Darryl reportedly owes $554,000 in taxes. Maybe Trump can help him get "over" that too.

MLB Rookie: I Won't Be Poppin' Bottles Just Yet

Stephen Strasburg just signed a $15.1 million dollar deal with the Washington Nationals -- but judging by what he told us yesterday in D.C., the down-to-earth 21-year-old won't be sippin' Cristal in clubs or hooking up with random gold diggers.

We'll check back in after the check clears.

Manny Ramirez Stimulates Albuquerque

He's not even a shoe-in to play -- but the mere rumor that suspended L.A. Dodgers cheater Manny Ramirez will make his baseball comeback with a AAA team in New Mexico is already sending ticket sales "through the roof."

Manny Ramirez

After the L.A. Times reported Manny would join the Albuquerque Isotopes line-up on Tuesday, a rep for the team told us phones began ringing off the hook for tickets and a line formed "around the block 30 minutes before the box-office opened its doors." FYI -- the rep told us the Dodgers haven't officially confirmed Manny's return.

Manny is currently serving a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug back in May -- and the reason the Dodgers would send him to the minor leagues would be to ease him back into form.

Meanwhile, the Manny-less Dodgers have the best record in baseball.

Manny Ramirez -- I'm Sorry, So Sorry...

Manny RamirezManny Ramirez just released the following statement regarding his 50 game suspension for violating the MLB drug policy:

"Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me.

Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy, that mistake is now my responsibility. I've been advised not to say anything more for now.

I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past 5 seasons.

I want to apologize to Mr. McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, Mr. Torre, my teammates, the Dodger organization, and to the Dodger fans. L.A. is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I'm sorry about this whole situation."

According to the MLB Players Association, Manny has waived his right to challenge that suspension.

Los Angeles Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt issued the following statement in reaction to today's statement: "We share the disappointment felt by our fans, our players, and every member of our organization. We support the policies of Major League Baseball, and we will welcome Manny back upon his return."

Manny Ramirez Loves Jews, Money

With the tax deadline just hours away, Manny Ramirez spent his Tuesday afternoon chatting it up with some of his Jewish fans ... wonder what they talked about?

Kidding! Just jokes people -- but on his way out of The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles, baseball's 45 million dollar man was talkin' money with us ... we think.

Most of the conversation was in Spanish, and the only thing our guy could muster up was something about the "baño."

Coco Go Loco -- Gets Red Socked

There's nothing better than a bench clearing, eye-bustin', gut stompin' baseball fight -- especially when the guy who started it is named Coco Crisp -- seriously.

Finally, a reason to sit through a baseball game.
