Anna's Ex: Smith Wanted Me to Kill Pierce

We just spoke with the guy who triggered the murder-for-hire investigation into Anna Nicole Smith -- and he says she repeatedly asked him to kill the son of her late husband, J. Howard Marshall II.

Anna Nicole & Mark Hatten
Mark "Hollywood" Hatten, Anna's ex-BF, says a drug-addled Smith was continually "begging with me to kill E. Pierce Marshall" claiming after her husband died, Pierce was "standing in the way of her money."

Hatten says he told Pierce's lawyer about the alleged plot. Mark claims he was then interviewed by the FBI twice about the matter while he was in jail for an unrelated crime.

TMZ sources confirm that when Anna and Howard K. Stern met with the FBI, an agent told them Hatten was the one who made the claim. We're also told the agent didn't believe Hatten's story.

Ultimately, the FBI determined there was "insufficient evidence to establish that there was a murder-for-hire plot."

Anna Was Investigated over Possible Murder Plot

Anna Nicole SmithAnna Nicole Smith was investigated by the FBI over a possible plot to kill the son of J. Howard Marshall II -- the 89-year-old oil tycoon she married when she was 26, this according to newly released documents.

The investigation took place between 2000 - 2001 -- after J. Howard's death -- when his son, E. Pierce Marshall, was trying to keep Anna Nicole from getting a chunk of his father's wealth ... valued in the hundreds of millions.

According to FBI documents obtained by the Associated Press, authorities confiscated a couple of weapons from Anna's home during the investigation -- including a .357 revolver and a 3.5 inch stainless steel knife.

On July 3, 2000, Smith was questioned by the FBI, but according to the docs Anna, "began crying and denied ever making such plans."

Feds ultimately decided there was "insufficient evidence to establish that there was a murder-for-hire plot by Ms. Smith to kill Pierce Marshall."

Pierce died in 2006 from an infection.

La Toya Still Thinks Michael Was Murdered

The coroner says the death of Michael Jackson was a homicide, but La Toya Jackson is still calling it murder.

La Toya Jackson

La Toya was on "20/20" last night with Barbara Walters, where she once again asserted that Michael was murdered by people who would benefit financially from his death, but she doesn't know exactly who.

Dr. Conrad Murray, who administered the drug that resulted in Jackson's death, is the only person the LAPD is focusing on in their investigation.

Ryan Jenkins Did Not Leave a Suicide Note

Ryan JenkinsA lot of questions surrounding Jasmine Fiore's murder may have died with Ryan Jenkins -- cops say he didn't leave a suicide note in the motel room where he was found hanged.

Jenkins was found hanging from the coat rack in his room at the Thunderbird Motel in British Columbia on August 23, over a week after cops believe he murdered Jasmine in San Diego and then fled the United States.

Although cops didn't find a suicide note, they did find Jenkins' laptop in the room -- but it's yet to be determined if there is anything of significance on the comp.

Ryan Jenkins' Dad -- My Son Is Innocent

Ryan JenkinsThere's now officially one person on the Ryan Jenkins is innocent bandwagon ... his father Dan.

Dan Jenkins sent a letter to the Calgary Herald this weekend, explaining what he believes to be true about the final days of his son's life.

In the letter, Dan says Ryan told him he and Jasmine had returned to L.A. from San Diego "early Friday evening" (August 14) and that she had "run an errand and had not come back."

Interestingly enough, cops believe Jasmine was killed sometime Friday morning between the hours of 2:30 AM and 4:30 AM -- and that Ryan had dumped her body in Buena Park before ditching her car in West Hollywood on Friday afternoon.

Check out Dan's statement here, in which he also claims he was the one who broke the news of Jasmine's murder to Ryan:

"monday, august 17th, i was on a holiday when ryan called to tell me he was driving home to canada. he sadly recounted that jasmine had left him again.

he said they had returned from san diego early friday evening, she had gone out saying she needed to run an errand and had not come back. By late saturday afternoon he went to the laPd and reported her missing ....

Reality Vet -- Fiore Death Makes Reality TV 'Scary'

Former "Road Rules" star Mark Long has either been on or hosted just about every reality show on MTV -- so when he says Ryan Jenkins has made reality television "scary," we tend to believe him.

Mark Long

Long actually hosted the premiere party for "Megan Wants a Millionaire," the VH1 show Jenkins was a contestant on. He didn't meet Jenkins, but he says Megan Hauserman told him she never suspected Jenkins was capable of something so horrific.

Jenkins was wanted in connection with the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore. He hung himself on August 23.

Jenkins Power Dialed after Fiore's Death

Cops tell TMZ Ryan Jenkins made a combined 30 phone calls and text messages between the hours of 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM on August 14 -- hours after they believe Jasmine Fiore had been murdered.

Here's the rundown: Buena Park police think Ryan Jenkins severely beat Jasmine after they left the San Diego Hilton hotel at 2:30 AM on the 14th. Jenkins was seen entering the L'Auberge Del Mar hotel in San Diego at 4:30 AM alone. Cops believe Jasmine was taken into the hotel through a back patio entrance, which does not have a security camera.

A small amount of blood and hair was found on the patio. Cops say they never saw Jenkins leave the hotel with the suitcase Jasmine was found in. They think Ryan put her in the suitcase and took her out through the patio, because he was finally seen leaving the hotel without her or the suitcase at 9:20 AM. It's unclear if Jasmine died in the hotel or in the car.

Cops say Jenkins made around 30 phone calls and texts between the time he left San Diego at 9:20 AM and arrived in Los Angeles at 5 PM. During this time, cops believe Ryan drove to Corona, pulled off-road and removed her teeth and fingertips -- then dropped her body off in Buena Park before driving to Los Angeles. Cops won't say who he called and texted.

AND GET THIS: Cops say once Ryan arrived in L.A., he sent his and Jasmine's wedding rings to Las Vegas via Fed-Ex with instructions to be cleaned. Cops say he never picked up the rings, which are now in the possession of the Buena Park Police Department.

Cops: Jasmine's Mercedes Had Blood Splatters

Jasmine FioreBuena Park police are holding a press conference right now about Jasmine Fiore's murder and said there were blood splatters inside her Mercedes -- the car they found yesterday abandoned in a parking lot in West Hollywood.

Cops say there was definitely a "struggle between two people in the car." Cops say there was more significant blood loss in the back seat of the car. The inside of the car had been wiped down and the outside was recently washed.

It appears a lot of hair pulling occurred. There was blood splatter on the back windshield. Cops say the only trauma on Jasmine was to her face and she had a broken nose.

Cops say the car had definitely gone off-road at some point -- there were mud stains on the tires and there were twigs caught in the undercarriage.

There's no reason to believe her teeth were removed while she was inside the vehicle -- but there were fragments of her teeth in the suitcase she was found inside, so they can assume her teeth were removed with her in or around the suitcase.

Cops say she could have "easily fit in the suitcase."

Cops say her fingers were cut off at the tips postmortem. A few pieces of her bloody clothing were found in the trunk. Cops say they are still looking for certain articles of her clothing.

TIMELINE HERE:

Both suspect and victim were seen entering her Mercedes at the San Diego Hilton at 2:30 AM on the morning of August 14 -- it's believed they were at a poker party at the Hilton. Jasmine was never seen again. Later that morning, Jenkins was seen leaving the L'Auberge Del Mar -- the hotel where they were staying at in San Diego -- at 9:20 AM. The next time he was seen on video was at 5 PM at his residence in Los Angeles.

This is the big mystery ... where was Jasmine when Ryan was seen checking out of the L'Auberge?

Jenkins/Fiore Mystery Mobile

Check out this video of Don Randall -- who first saw Jasmine Fiore's missing Mercedes in a West Hollywood parking lot on August 15 -- talking with cops.

Don says at around 9 AM on the 15th, he noticed the Mercedes and then saw a silver, 4-door sedan parked next to it. Randall says he walked inside the building and returned to the lot somewhere between 30 - 60 minutes later and the silver car was gone.

Ryan Jenkins' Half-Sister May Be Mystery Woman

Ryan Jenkins' Half-Sister Ryan Jenkins' half-sister may be the woman who dropped him off at the motel where he ultimately killed himself, this according to The Vancouver Sun.

The Sun reports a silver PT Cruiser with Alberta plates -- which matches the description of the car seen dropping Ryan off at the Thunderbird Motel -- was spotted at Alena Jenkins' condominium in Vancouver late Tuesday night.

Court records show that Ryan's father also owns a PT Cruiser, but it's unclear if the car at Alena's place is the same vehicle.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cpl. Norm Massie would not confirm Alena is the woman who helped Ryan check into the motel -- but did say they would need some proof that the mystery woman knew Ryan was a wanted man before they could press charges.

Jenkins -- who was wanted for the murder of his wife Jasmine Fiore -- was found hanged in his motel room three days after he checked in.

Mystery Woman in Jenkins Case?

Paulina ChmieleckaUPDATE: Paulina's agent tells us "There's no way it can be her because on Friday she was doing a fashion show and Saturday she was filming a cooking show." The agent added, "She's grieving the loss of someone she used to love."

UPDATE: The RCMP just completed a press conference and while they say they have identified the mystery woman, they are not revealing her identity. They do not feel she is a public threat nor are they appealing for her to come forward. The RCMP also says she could only be charged as an accessory after the fact to crimes committed in Canada -- not to the murder for which Jenkins was wanted.

UPDATE
: Cops are saying despite the manager's claim, Paulina is not the woman they are looking for.

The woman who helped Ryan Jenkins run from authorities was his former fiancee, according to the manager of the motel where he committed suicide.

We showed the manager, Kevin Walker, photos of Paulina Chmielecka, who was in a 3-year relationship with Jenkins until earlier this year -- he says he's "100% sure" the woman who drove Jenkins to the Thunderbird Motel and paid for the room was Paulina.

Ryan and Paulina were engaged, until he called it off several months ago. Friends of the former couple tell us she was very much in love with him, though she moved on to another relationship.

Ryan Jenkins -- Suicide Details

UPDATE: The room below is in the motel where Jenkins' body was found -- and the photo agency who owns the pics say it's the same room -- and coat rack -- where Jenkins hanged himself. The agency says the photos were taken about 6 hours after the body was discovered -- after the room had been inspected and cleaned.

The manager of the motel where Ryan Jenkins hanged himself says he was found hanging from the coat rack behind the door and his feet were touching the ground.

Ryan Jenkins -- Suicide Details
The manager says it was odd that he could touch the ground. We do not know if Jenkins sedated himself before hanging himself.

Residents of the motel (it's used for sober living) tell TMZ Jenkins, who walked around the grounds from time to time, looked nothing like the video and pictures that have been circulating. He was skinny, his cheeks were sunken and he was wearing clothes that looked like he purchased them at a thrift store.

Kevin Walker: Click to watchAs for the mystery woman who accompanied him, she was very pretty, between 20-25 years old and was "extremely calm" when she checked in. The manager says he was a bit suspicious when they first pulled up in a PT Cruiser. The car pulled up -- ironically -- next to a dumpster rather than in a parking spot. He waited in the car while she checked him in. She left 20 minutes after Jenkins checked in and has not been seen again.

UPDATE: TMZ just spoke with the motel manager who said he did not see a suicide note when he discovered the body.

Officials have Jenkins' laptop -- but it's unclear what was on it.

Jenkins Hanged, Cops Search for Mystery Blond

Ryan JenkinsRyan Jenkins was found dead in Canada yesterday -- hanging from a coat rack in a motel room -- but the investigation into the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore, continues.

Authorities in Canada are looking for the woman who allegedly drove Jenkins to the Thunderbird Motel in Hope, B.C. on Thursday and checked him in. The manager of the motel says she was in her early 20s and drove a silver PT Cruiser with Alberta license plates.

The woman stayed with Jenkins for about 20 minutes and wasn't seen again. The woman paid upfront for three days -- in cash. The manager claims he never got a good look at Jenkins because he waited in the car while the mystery blond checked him in.

When Jenkins didn't check out Sunday as planned, the manager of the motel and his nephew went to check on him.

When there was no answer, they entered the room and found Jenkins hanging by his belt from a coat rack. Cops say they believe Jenkins' death was "an apparent suicide." He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. There was a laptop open on a desk inside the room.

Jenkins had to be IDed through his fingerprints.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sgt. Duncan Pound said last night, "At this present time the investigation into the circumstances of his death is continuing, but preliminary evidence suggests that he took his own life. Any further details will not be released at this time as this investigation remains in its infancy."
