Astronaut Water -- It's a Pisser

Internatiol Space StationThe #1 source for drinking water in space ... is #1.

Astronauts on the International Space Station had their first taste of liquid goodness from their new urine recycling system -- which magically transforms pee, sweat and water condensed from exhaled air to create a nice cool glass of aqua. Who's thirsty!?

But here's the crazy part -- not only do the astronauts think the final product tastes great ... but they even cracked jokes about it, claiming the water came with this special warning: "drink this when real water is over 200 miles away."

Space humor -- it's golden.

Balloon or UFO?

We just got a picture of an object over the skies of Arizona and Mexico -- and some residents there are doubting the object is a giant research balloon, as NASA claims.

UFO

Calls came pouring in yesterday about the mysterious bubble floating stationary for around one hour. NASA says it's a 4,000-pound research balloon used to measure gamma ray emissions. NASA claims the balloon generally floats at 130,000 feet -- more than 3 times higher than the cruise altitude of a commercial jet.

Thanks to our friends at Ye Olde UFO Store for the pic.

NASA Walks All Over C.O.L.B.E.R.T.

You won't find this fitness machine at your local Gold's Gym -- it's the insanely high-tech NASA treadmill that was just named after Stephen Colbert.

Stephen Colbert

The C.O.L.B.E.R.T. Treadmill -- which stands for Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill -- will be sent to the International Space Station in August.

NASA backed off of their offer to name a wing on the international space station after Colbert after he won their online poll, but this is one helluva consolation prize.
