He might not be in the trenches, but Diddy has joined the student protests at Howard University through his Twitter page.
Diddy -- who went to school at H.U. back in the day -- has been firing off several messages to the waves of students currently protesting over housing and financial aid packages.
For the last two hours, Diddy has been sending messages like, "NO JUSTICE! NO PEACE!!! Let me know if yall need me to come down there yall! I got yall BACK! Let's go!!!"
And just to be clear he's not encouraging violence, Diddy then wrote, "Do what we did and take IT OVER!!!! Let's go! And do it in a peaceful way but DO IT!! ... If your at HU go to the A building now and make sure they feel you!!! And send me updates!!! Let's go!"
School spirit never dies.

Daryl Hannah has a smooth, flawless, gorgeous face that can stop traffic -- and today she got arrested for just that.
The 48-year-old "Clan of the Cave Bear" star, a NASA scientist and their ragtag group of protesters were arrested in West Virginia after blocking off a road leading to a coal processing plant in Raleigh County. Hannah's crew was protesting mountaintop removal mining -- a type of mining criticized for allegedly harming the environment.
30 were arrested in total and booked on misdemeanor charges of obstruction and impeding traffic.

How's this for irony: Parents using their children to protest how OctoMom Nadya Suleman is using hers.
A group of kids protested OctoMom's move into the La Habra neighborhood yesterday -- best belated sign: "Get Ur Tubes Tied." Runner up: "Go Back to Whittier."

According to these peeps, George W. Bush is a shoe-in for the worst President in history.
Following in the footsteps of an Iraqi reporter, anti-war protesters threw shoes at a prison uniform-clad Bush-alike outside the White House on Wednesday.
The two-term 43rd Prez has 33 days left in office.

Protesting cramped living conditions for sows, PETA activists were really showing London how bad things can get for the humble pig.
This nearly-naked pregnant lass, demonstrating the plight of the porker, garnered particular attention, especially from two of the world's teeniest activists. Notice how thirsty the one on the left looks -- and how confused they both seem to be.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Actress Daryl Hannah and another protester have been plucked from a walnut tree and arrested, ending their part in the occupation of a 14-acre mini-farm near downtown Los Angeles.
Firefighters on a cherry-picker-type ladder cut away branches to remove Hannah and veteran tree sitter John Quigley. On the ground below, sheriff's deputies evicted others, including some who'd chained themselves to the tree and to metal drums filled with concrete.
Several dozen others were arrested outside the green area for blocking traffic. About 350 people have grown crops and flowers on the land, in an industrial section of the inner-city, for more than a decade. Owner Ralph Horowitz says that's long enough. He wants to build a warehouse and says that's what the land is zoned for.
