Ricky Gervais: Steve Carell Is My Bitch

Steve Carell's made a hefty chunk of change from the American rip-off of "The Office" -- but original BBC series creator Ricky Gervais is the one with the bigger wad. Yeah ... That's what she said.

Steve Carell Hates Him Some TMZ

In not so many words, comedian Steve Carell made it very clear that he's not a fan of our cameras.

"The Office" star was at a Los Angeles courthouse this afternoon doing his civil duty as a juror, when we asked if he had any words on Heath Ledger or any advice for Britney Spears. Though his mouth said "No thanks," his eyes said, "F**k off!"

Carell Hard on TMZ -- (That's What She Said)

What's Steve Carell got against TMZ?!

Our cameras caught "The Office" star outside Dan Tana's last night, where he was uber-talkative until he found out who the photog was shooting for ... then it was near radio silence.

Guess he didn't like this story.

Steve Carell Boogies on Down the Road

Steve Carell picked a fine time to do some nasal maintenance work.

It's difficult to do any of this kind of work at "The Office."

Vanna Turns Heads Outside "Regis and Kelly"

The still-perfect-at-50 Vanna White sure knows how to work a crowd -- stopping with "Heroes" hottie Adrian Pasdar outside of "Live with Regis and Kelly" yesterday to sign autographs for waiting fans. Steve Carell and Ashley Tisdale weren't quite so accommodating -- blowing past the crowd without signing a single thing!

Also out in NY yesterday -- Julianne Moore and her equally red-headed daughter Liv at Bar Pitti, a K-Fed slamming Shar Jackson outside TRL, and a sunglasses-at-night wearing Gwen Stefani.

All this and more in today's "your signature here" edition of Star Catcher.

Carell Hates the Crackberry

Steve CarellSteve Carell may be the boss at NBC's hit, "The Office," but he won't return your email. He's not rude, it's just that he feels his "5-year-old daughter navigates the computer better ... and text messaging is completely foreign to me." Get with the 90s, pal!

Although he "can pretty much do everything with a microwave," Carell jokingly tells Parade magazine, "I do own a cell phone ... and it's not rotary." As for the Blackberry, the Golden Globe winner thinks, "they should be banished from Earth."

Carell's co-stars may have a problem with "the boss," since John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and B.J. Novak tell Parade they are all thumb-thumping "Crackberry" addicts. Fischer admits, "You can't write anything too intimate when you have to type with your thumbs." Hmmm, we hadn't noticed that.

Rainn Wilson (Dwight) prefers his Treo, because now that he is a "huge, minor television celebrity" he likes to "Google himself hourly." Now that's Dunder-Mifflin efficiency!

Steve Carell on Posing for Playgirl

Steve Carell says that his new role as a squirrel is the perfect setup for his ultimate goal -- a stint in Playgirl.

Carell jokes to 'EXTRA' as he makes the rounds promoting his new movie, 'Over the Hedge.' The '40 Year Old Virgin' star plays Hammy, the neighborhood squirrel, in Dreamworks' new animated feature.

Carell deadpans that the producers of 'Hedge' are lucky they signed him to the movie four years ago, before he hit it big. "Yeah, I'm a jerk now," Carell kidded. "I would have NEVER done this movie now. I can't even believe I'm promoting it."

Carell continued to joke with Jon Kelley about his $18,000 jeans and his next big project -- posing for Playgirl.

Check local listings for when 'EXTRA' airs.

Avril, Bruce, Carell Get Animated

The star-studded cast of the new animated film 'Over the Hedge' discuss working on their new movie.

Singer Avril Lavigne says the most interesting part of recording the dialogue for her character was that she had no co-stars in the booth with her. Or, as Avril puts it, "Going in by yourself, with no one else to kinda feed off of."
