After getting reamed by Tim Robbins over that whole polling place snafu, the NYC Board of Elections wants Testy Tim to turn that frown upside down -- and do a PSA for 'em!
Officials tell TMZ they're inviting TR to "join" them to produce "service announcements" about voter participation. Somehow, given that Tim called the head of the org a "corrupt scumbag," it might take a lil' arm-twisting.
No word from Tim yet on whether he'll bite.
Not surprisingly, the BOE phrased their offer slightly more diplomatically than Robbins' screed.

Tim Robbins tried voting at his NYC polling place earlier today. There was some kind of ruckus and the cops were called.

Apparently, Robbins has been voting at that polling place for more than a decade, but today his name wasn't on the register. They told Robbins he had to fill out a provisional ballot but he didn't want to do it. An argument erupted between Robbins and the poll worker. Robbins allegedly got loud and the poll worker said he was calling the cops.
Robbins accused the poll worker of trying to intimidate him so he wouldn't vote.
Robbins went downtown to the City Board of Elections to get proof he was good to vote.

At almost 6'5", Tim Robbins towers over his peers in Hollywood, and he decided to use that vertical advantage against some actual little people -- kids -- on the street hockey field yesterday in NYC. Make way for mighty ducklings!
Demonstrating a little more vivacity than Mario Batali did recently at the same park in the West Village, Robbins played a little back line with the urchins, stopping a couple shots, and providing some slo mo defense.

Leopard print may be tacky -- but Eva Mendes makes it work.
TMZ spotted the "Ghost Rider" actress rocking the animal print and some heavy duty eye makeup on Saturday night at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere party for "Live!"
Kevin Bacon got an "A" for effort with his ensemble, while Andy Garcia was less fashion-forward with his Benjamin Franklin-inspired appearance seen as he signed autographs outside the "The Air I Breathe" after-party.
Politically correct Tim Robbins and partner Susan Sarandon, and a somewhat cleaned up Fred Durst kept it basic in black outside the "The Education of Charlie Banks" premiere. Fred seemed happy just to be recognized.
All this and more in today's Fashion Police edition of Star Catcher.

TMZ's cameras were outside the celeb-packed NY soiree after the screening of "Flags Of Our Fathers" at the SoHo Grand Hotel on Tuesday night, and we were able to catch all the action going down.
Our all-seeing lensman caught the likes of the gorgeous Sarah Jessica Parker, hip-hop mogul Damon Dash, Laura Linney, "Spider-Man" star Elizabeth Banks, Jesse Bradford and a very angry-looking Reese Witherspoon, who was with hubby Ryan Phillippe.
We also stopped by persistently celeb-infested downtown hotspot Butter, where we spotted Jake Gyllenhaal, Lance Armstrong, a solo Tim Robbins, R&B star Cassie and "That '70s Show" star Danny Masterson, who cleared up dating rumors for our viewers.

Jack Nicholson at a Lakers game is a normal occurrence, but Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon at a NY Rangers game not so much. You may not know this, but apparently the A-list couple are die hard NHL hockey fans. The family has been frequently spotted at NY Rangers home and away games. Now that's a fan.
Tim and Susan aren't the only ones in the family who are big fans, apparently son Miles is also a hockey buff. Tim recently took 15-year-old Miles to an FHM/NHL party at Marquee in NY to mingle with his favorite players.
We did a little digging and found out that Tim's passion for hockey started all the way back when he was kicked off his high school team for fighting. He also played in the "Hero's of Hockey" game at the National Hockey League's All-Star Game, and claims to own every Rangers highlight video released since their 1994 Stanley Cup championship season.

Oprah Winfrey, James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins all turned out for the much-hyped premiere of 'Three Days of Rain' -- Julia Roberts' Broadway debut.
"It was just a great opportunity and I was up for the challenge," Roberts said.

Richard Gere donned a pair of glittering gold dancing pumps to earn his pudding pot and crown Friday as Harvard's Hasty Pudding man of the year.
In a nod to his role as a flashy lawyer in "Chicago" and to the resignation this week of Harvard President Lawrence Summers Gere sang to the tune of "Razzle Dazzle":
"I could become a permanent resident, I could become your next president."
He also had to win the heart of a student costumed as a dragon, and put a blond wig and a white bra decorated with gold buttons and an accent of red.
