Tony Kanal, Famous? No Doubt!

Gwen Stefani's the face of the group, but the guys of No Doubt should still be recognizable, right?


Not so for Tony Kanal, the band's bassist, who was repeatedly asked, "Are you famous? Are you famous?" by some guy on the street last night.

If you're not sure if someone's famous, please don't speak.

'The Police' Nab Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, Alanis Morissette and Jeremy Piven were all rallying for the police last night -- well, the Sting-fronted band of the same name, anyway.

Ms. Aniston made a sneaky entrance into the Staples Center for The Police concert in L.A. Wednesday evening, somehow keeping her face hidden from cameras as she rushed in -- every little thing she does is magic!

Dustin Hoffman started singing a rather appropriate song to the snapping paps on his way in -- "Don't Stand So Close to Me" -- and even promised our cameraman a Police CD on his way out ... our photog is still waiting. Also at the concert were Jeremy Piven, autograph-happy Adam Sandler, Lou Diamond Phillips, Jamie Lee Curtis and No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal.

TMZ even caught Sting at The Edison for an after-concert party, throwing a wave to the camera on his way out of the bash.

All this and more in today's "you have to turn on the red light" edition of Star Catcher.

Lindsay Solo on Couples Night

While most of Hollywood went clubbing with their pseudo-significant others last night, Ms. Lohan stepped out with ... her bodyguard.

TMZ caught the blonde clubhopper dashing into the back door of Winston's, posing for photos ... as she was escorted, hand in hand, by her trusty security guard/driver.

"Scrubs" star Donald Faison paired up for an evening at Parc with Jessica Simpson's buddy CaCee Cobb, Cheryl Burke stopped by with boyfriend Matthew Lawrence and No Doubt's Tony Kanal left with girlfriend Erin Lokitz. A booty-ful Eve was also spotted outside Element with a mystery man.

Also out were Suge Knight, a tired-from-"Dancing" Joey Fatone, and Jeremy Piven, filming "Entourage" in full Ari-ensemble. All this and more in today's coupled-up Star Catcher.

Coast to Coast Star Catcher

TMZ was outside the fan-packed "Late Show" studio in NY to catch a couple of big stars.

Our cameras caught up with new "Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh as he entered the late-night show, while tons of fans screamed and  begged for a glimpse or possibly an autograph.  

Also on hand, "Just Married" star Brittany Murphy who was in New York to announce that she will be the voice of Tinkerbell for Disney's upcoming new animated flick "The Tinkerbell Movie," a first in the "Disney Fairies" line.

On the West Coast, our own Josh Levine was at Hollywood hotspot "Hyde" where he ran into No Doubt's bassist Tony Kanal, Lukas Haas and and blonde "Baywatch" babe Nicole Eggert.

All this and more in the coast to coast version of Star Catcher.
