Vinnie Jones was just found not guilty of three simple assaults in a Sioux Falls, SD courtroom, stemming from last year's crazy, bloody bar-room brawl.
Jones was arrested back in December after security footage showed the actor attacking a man near the restroom of a local bar -- right after another guy smashed a beer mug in his face in a different tussle.
Vinnie testified earlier today, saying he was "driven by fear" during the fight.
UPDATE: Outside court, Vinnie told reporters he took the stand to "tell it how it was" and was confident "the jury would do the right thing."

Vinnie Jones just arrived in a Sioux Falls, SD courtroom to face assault charges for last year's bloody bar-room brawl -- the one where he got bashed in the face with a beer mug.
Jones was arrested back in December after security footage showed the actor trying to attack a man near the restrooms of a local bar ... all while Vinnie still had glass still stuck in his face from a pummeling he received minutes earlier.
If he's found guilty on all three charges, Vinnie could do three years in a jail and a $1,000 fine.
UPDATE: 2:07 PM PST: State rests its case. The jury has been dismissed and the judge has informed Vinnie he doesn't have to testify if he doesn't want to.
UPDATE: 1:47 PM PST: A police officer testified that Vinnie told him Barrera said "Have you had enough, old man?" before the beatdown.
UPDATE: 1:01 PM PST: Everyone just watched the security tape -- the one that shows a mangled, bloody Jones going ballistic on Barrera. The owner of the bar where the fight occurred is now on the stand.

Vinnie Jones says he's not guilty of assault in that whole pool hall thing in South Dakota where he got his face smashed in -- but he wouldn't mind getting some legal help from our fearless boss. In case you didn't know... he's a lawyer.

It's unclear whether the beer glass that mangled Vinnie Jones' face was half-empty or half-full -- but dude seemed pretty indifferent about his insanely bloody brawl when blindsided by questions while out with his wife yesterday.

Vinnie Jones's mugshot is Exhibit A -- proof it's no fun to get hit in the face with a beer glass during a bar fight.
After his release, Vinnie didn't miss a beat -- he went pheasant hunting. So that's what they mean by pheasant under glass.

One of the guys in the Vinnie Jones bar fight tells us Vinnie socked him AFTER being mangled by a beer glass.
Juan Barrera tells us he and Jesse Bickett were shooting a friendly game of pool when a loud, rude and "visibly drunk" Vinnie approached them. Barrera says Vinnie began taunting Bickett as he impatiently waited his turn to play.
Barrera says Vinnie headbutted Bickett. Barrera went into the bathroom and did not see Bickett retaliate by striking Vinnie in the face with a beer glass. He did, however, see Vinnie taken to the bathroom, his face completely covered in blood -- pieces of glass still embedded in his skin.
Vinnie clearly took a lickin' but kept on tickin' -- after noticing Barrera in the boy's room, Juan says Vinnie hauled off and punched him. BTW, Barrera is 6'1" and weighs 370 lbs.
Vinnie and Bickett were both busted -- Barrera pressed charges.

Actor Vinnie Jones, whose face was on the receiving end of a beer bottle in a bar fight, became enraged after some dudes in a bar only recognized him from "X-Men: The Last Stand."
Jones was in a Sioux Falls, South Dakota bar Thursday night, when he reportedly tried getting in on a game of pool. According to ArgusLeader.com, one of the guys remarked Jones was "that guy from X-Men." Jones allegedly got bent out of shape because they weren't familiar with his body of work. But Vinnie's face, like his other movies, was gone in sixty seconds, because he allegedly charged one of the guys who then hit him squarely in the face with a beer glass.
Vinnie went to a hospital and was arrested for simple assault. He posted bond yesterday and was released. The glass-wielding dude was arrested for aggravated assault.

...because the British badass -- who has a real life history of violence -- would have murdered anyone who had the brass stones to ask the ridiculous questions our photog fired off to him and Jason Statham yesterday.
Honestly, it's a miracle that our guy is still breathing right now.

They're both certified badasses -- footballer Vinnie Jones once crushed a guy's testes and Jason Statham's the frickin' "Transporter" -- so it was a brave photog who approached them yesterday at Sunset Plaza.
And while one of 'em clearly hates our guts, the other's a modern day (but extremely buff) Chatty Cathy.

Our photog was cruisin' for a bruisin' yesterday, insulting Vinnie Jones, the one guy who doesn't need much incentive to to kick the crap out of anybody.
He let the photog off easy for sure. Vinnie Jones has ended soccer careers with his hardcore tackles and once "distracted" a guy by crushing his testicles. Talking to him takes balls.
