Michael Jackson was honored in Las Vegas last night -- on what would have been his 51st birthday -- with a star on the Palms Casino Resort's Walk of Fame.
Robin Leach presented the star to Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, who said, "I wish he was here to see this take place."
Afterwards, Joe had dinner at the N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms and then went up to the Playboy Club. After that, he went to another nightclub called Moon, where the DJ played Michael Jackson songs all night.

Chimpin' ain't easy -- especially when a talentless Vodka company gets immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame before an A-list ape!
Just weeks after the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce refused to enshrine Cheeta the Chimp -- a veteran of 12 Tarzan movies -- the Walk of Fame honored the Absolut Vodka company with a plaque and a ceremony! Somebody get Cheeta a drink!
The HCOC claims the Absolut plaque wasn't an official "star," but an honorary award for a substantial donation.
Cheeta's reps went bananas anyway, saying "We hope the Chamber will realize that Cheeta's 60 years of work on screen has reached the esteemed level that Absolut has achieved in product placement to garner this much-coveted honor."

News of a Toastee Toof sex tape this week caused about as much excitement as the notion of "Flavor of Love 3." So instead, we prefer to hit rewind on some of the folks who embarrassed themselves with their clothes on.
Paris Hilton: Somewhere, deep down in Nostradamus' predictions, we believe the great seer foresaw that when both "Girls Gone Wild" guru Joe Francis and Bentley fender bender Paris Hilton were simultaneously served with jail time, it would be a portentous sign that the party was coming to an end. In the wake of yesterday's 45 days probation violence sentence, everything suddenly takes on new meaning for Paris: her cell, her sidekick, her bitch ... and who would have thought that of all the recent celebrity DUI-ers, it would be the unflappable Ms. Hilton who would get yanked straight past Malibu rehab to actually pay for her crime. It's a bonanza, of course, for us here at TMZ, but September 7, 2006 (the date she was arrested in Hollywood last fall) is now her September 11.

How do these stars earn a star on the Walk of Fame when they've only been around for a mere 15 minutes?
It's true, Trina -- more and more young stars seem to be getting their names embossed in Hollywood's Walk of Fame. (24-year-old Britney Spears already has one!) But here's what we can tell you about the growing trend: at least $15,000 is what it costs to achieve posterity on the infamous Hollywood walk, maintained by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. And that nice chunk of money can come from the star, or more likely, a sponsor (i.e., record company or movie studio). The Walk of Fame Committee then determines if that name is to be forever etched into history!
And speaking of the pop princess, take a look at Britney and her stardom at a Halloween party earlier this week!

Cameras caught up with rap mogul Diddy on the set of his latest video -- "Come to Me," featuring Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls -- where Diddy was more eager to open up than usual.
The tone of his next album, "Press Play," focuses very much on Diddy's own personal relationships. "I think I've learned I'm definitely hard to be in a relationship with," Diddy admitted.
Diddy also talked about being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: "I think I'm going to shed a couple of tears."
"Press Play" hits stores October 17 and Diddy will get his star on the Walk of Fame sometime in 2007.
