West Wing Star Feels Heat -- Apartment Burns Up

One of the stars of the "West Wing" claims she barely escaped a roaring fire at her West Hollywood apartment building last month -- and the building happens to be owned by the same guy who owns the Los Angeles Clippers.

The woman who was smoked out is Kim Webster -- who starred on the NBC show as Ginger the secretary for several seasons.

The L.A. County Fire Department
tells us they deemed Kim's apartment "Unsafe -- do not occupy" after a fire tore through the place -- owned by real estate magnate Donald Sterling -- around 3:20 PM on September 28th. Fire officials determined the blaze was caused by faulty wiring on a 1st floor ceiling fan.

But Kim says she's now homeless -- and had to spend the following night in a shelter.

No word on when, or if, she can move back in.

Reach Out and Touch a Celeb

Rainn WilsonEver feel like asking Rainn Wilson how much of a nerd he is compared to his character Dwight on "The Office?" Or maybe you've been itching to talk to Fonzie ever since "Happy Days" went off the air. Well thanks to the nice people over at Skype, your time has come.

Teaming up with parent company eBay, Skype is auctioning off a chance to talk to celebrities on the phone. Not just any phone; a Skype phone that will allow them to see the celebrity on the other end, so you know that Rob Lowe isn't fixing himself a snack instead of focusing all his attention on your "West Wing" questions.

Participating celebrities include Kristen Bell, Adam Duritz of Counting Crows, Seth MacFarlane ("Family Guy"), Rachel Bilson (The OC) and the entire cast of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101." It's a good chance you'll find someone you really want to chat.

Proceeds from the auctions will benefit The Young Storytellers Foundation, a Los Angeles based arts education organization.

What Were They Watching!?!?

Today's Emmy nominations announcement was supposed to mark a turning point in Emmy history. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences revised the nomination process to ensure, in part, that some new faces got nods. Did they succeed? There certainly a was a lot of turnover this year, but the new nominees still leave a lot to be desired.

The list of those that didn't get recognized is surprising, for both good and bad reasons. Here are the five things that stood out most to us:

Forget last year...
"Lost," James Spader, Felicity Huffman and Patricia Arquette were all major winners last year - and not nominated this year. Kiefer Sutherland is the only lead actor nominated from last year in the drama category. Tony Shalhoub is the only lead actor nominated from last year in the comedy category.

Click here... it's not over yet
