The bad news: Rod Stewart's son Sean just wrecked a Bentley Continental GTC worth about $200,000.
The good news: It was a rental.
We're told Sean wrecked the Bentley on Sunset Blvd., near Boa Steakhouse. It happened at around 3 PM PT. He was renting the expensive ride from Beverly Hills Rent-A-Car for $2,500 a day.
The rental place tells us they don't sell coverage on high end vehicles ... so it looks like Sean may be in the hole anyway.
UPDATE: A rep for Sean tells us he was a passenger in the car and a female was driving at the time. We're told she lost control and hit the curb.

Hulk Hogan claims his own lawyers backstabbed him after Nick's 2007 car crash -- charging him over $1 million for legal representation he could have gotten for FREE.
Hulk's beef is with big-time law firm Zuckerman Spaeder.
Hulk claims after Nick's crash -- in which his passenger John Graziano suffered severe brain damage -- Zuckerman was contacted multiple times by Hulk's insurance company, Progressive, which offered to provide an experienced lawyer to represent the Hogan's in the civil case ... free of charge.
In the lawsuit, filed today in Pinellas County, Hulk claims Zuckerman failed to let him know about Progressive's offer for 17 months -- forcing him to pay in "excess of one million dollars" to Zuck and crew for legal representation he could have gotten without paying a cent.
Hulk also alleges that by the time his lawyers told him about Progressive's offer, the insurance company had "terminated the relationship" with Hulk and refused to pay for the bulk of Zuck's massive legal tab.
Hulk is suing for unspecified damages.

Michael Phelps may not have been at fault for his car accident this week, but he wasn't exactly squeaky clean, either.
Phelps will be cited for driving with an expired license, which was from Michigan, the NY Post is reporting. Phelps will have to appear before a judge, though no date has been set so far.
Phelps also admitted to police he had a beer about an hour before the crash. He was not given a Breathalyzer test on scene.
Phelps was involved in a two-car accident in Baltimore on Thursday. It was ruled the other driver ran a red light, causing the wreck.

George Michael's bad luck behind the wheel continues -- he was arrested in England early Saturday morning (different time zone, people) after being involved in a nasty car accident.
Michael -- who lost his license in 2007 after admitting to driving under the influence of drugs -- smashed his Land Rover into a seven-ton truck at around 1:00 AM in Newbury, Berkshire ... this according to Sky News.
Michael was arrested at the scene, but cops say he was released without being charged with a crime.

Jesse James could've been a dead man yesterday afternoon when the train he was riding in collided with a semi-truck hauling a load of tomatoes.
Jesse and his 11-year-old son were among 279 passengers on the choo-choo as it rolled through Monterey County, California -- when it suddenly plowed through the semi which was inconveniently stopped on the tracks.
Amtrak and the California Highway Patrol confirmed no one was hurt in the ketchup-creating crash ... which would have made for some really, really awesome video.
James posted photos of the wreckage on his Twitter page, saying "This trip is turning out to be a real train wreck ... train was going 70 mph, good thing the truck wasn't Peterbuilt. Would have been Tragic."

Actress/model Sophie Monk was taken away by paramedics after a car accident in Hollywood this afternoon.
Monk was driving north on La Brea Ave. in a black Prius. The other driver was driving east in a blue Ford Explorer.
A witness on the scene tells TMZ it didn't appear the driver of the SUV was injured. Both vehicles were towed away.

We just got the crash report from the police dept. in the Casey Aldridge truck crash. And we've talked to one of the passengers, who says Casey had not hit the bottle.
We broke the story -- Aldridge rolled his truck, causing him and two others to be ejected. Five total were riding in his Ford F-250.
According to the report, "for some unknown reason" Aldridge's truck left the road and ran into a ditch, at around 1:54 AM Sunday. Aldridge drove in the ditch for around 250 feet. That's when Aldridge "overcorrected and lost control" of the truck. It went back on to the road and then rolled over and went another 160 feet.
One of the passengers -- who asked us not to use his name -- told us no one in the truck had been drinking. He said the worst two injuries were a broken collar bone and Casey's fracture. He says the accident was caused when Casey drove too close to the ditch. They were coming back from a fishing trip -- at 1:54 in the morning?

Louisiana State Troopers tell us three of the five people riding in Casey Aldridge's truck (they previously told us only four were in the truck) were ejected during the crash -- and Casey was one of them.
Cops tell us while Casey was heading north on the 606 in Louisiana early this morning, he swerved off the right side of the road and into a ditch, then over-corrected his turn back onto the pavement, causing the car to flip. During the flip, 3 people -- including Casey -- were ejected from the car.
The two others who were ejected refused medical treatment at the scene -- and as we previously reported, Casey was taken to the Riverside Medical Center in Ferriday, La. due to what cops called "moderate injuries."
As for whether alcohol was a factor, cops tell us they didn't speak to Casey for nearly four hours after the crash -- due to his hospitalization -- and when they did, they found no reason to suspect he had been drinking.
Just to put this in perspective, cops told us it's 4x more likely for people to die when they're ejected from a car during a crash -- and all 3 who were ejected survived.
Casey was charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle -- a misdemeanor -- and is currently recovering from his injuries at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.

Casey Aldridge could have been screwed, but got real lucky -- he's going to recover from this morning's car accident.
We just spoke with a close family member/Baptist preacher who says Aldridge did not have surgery, but did suffer mild brain trauma.
As we first reported, Casey and 3 other passengers were in a single car accident early this morning in Louisiana.
His F-250 flipped over and Aldridge was airlifted for treatment.
The family member said Aldridge suffered a "skull fracture around his hairline" and will be kept at the University of Mississippi Medical Center for 2-3 days for observation.
Jamie Lynn Spears is at his bedside.
We're also told one passenger suffered a broken collarbone, one is getting X-rays on his hip and the third just suffered some bruising.

We've learned Casey Aldridge was charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle (a misdemeanor) after this morning's crash -- and no other car was involved.
Cops tell TMZ Casey was driving on the LA 606, which is in the Tensas Parish in Louisiana, when he lost control of his F-250 at around 1:30 AM. Law enforcement sources say Casey was initially taken to the Riverland Medical Facility in Ferriday, LA -- which is right across the border from Mississippi.
19-year-old Casey is currently at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
UPDATE: Cops tell us there were three other passengers in the truck with Casey -- but Casey's injuries were the most serious.

Sources tell TMZ Jamie Lynn Spears' baby daddy, Casey Aldridge, is currently in stable condition at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Mississippi.
We're told he was initially taken to the emergency room, but has just been transferred to another part of the hospital.
Sources say Casey was involved in some sort of car accident last night.

Fabio's "failed brakes" excuse didn't cut it with the owners of the Ferrari he crashed this weekend -- because they just released a statement saying the car wasn't to blame for the accident.
World Class Driving's statement: "After preliminary investigation, World Class Driving found the car was in excellent working condition prior to the incident and that brake failure was not an issue."
And to make matters more interesting, WCD also said: "The car in question also has computer data logging that is in the process of being checked to determine what caused the incident."

Fabio clearly no longer has the Midas touch. He insists the cause of yesterday's Ferrari crash was brake failure.
A rep for Fabio just gave us a jingle, claiming Mr. F was driving the $300,000 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano during a sanctioned event for World Class Driving, when he hit the brake pedal on the dreaded Mulholland Drive and... nothing.
And Fabio's rep says there's a witness -- an unnamed passenger in the car who heard Fab scream "I have no brakes," and then... crash.

We've learned Italian model Fabio Lanzoni wrecked one of the most expensive cars in the world Saturday afternoon -- and it didn't even belong to him.
We're told the Italian model was driving a Ferrari -- which was property of World Class Driving -- on Mulholland Drive near Calabasas, Cal. when he hit a turn going too fast and lost control of the car.
Sources say the ridiculously expensive ride struck something off road, causing damage to the front and back ends on the right side of the car.
Unlike the Ferrari, Fabio walked away pretty much unscathed, because we're told he was taking photos with fans at the Hyatt Hotel later that afternoon.
A rep for WCD released this statement to us: "No comment. We are not very proud of the fact that Fabio wrecked our car." Calls to Fabio's reps haven't been returned.
