The Notorious B.I.G.'s mother, Voletta Wallace, was laid to rest Wednesday in the same funeral home as her rap phenomenon son was over 28 years ago.

Dozens of mourners flocked into the Frank Campbell Funeral Chapel in Manhattan ... Biggie's widow, Faith Evans, was there, and Lil Kim, Mase, Diddy's son Christian Combs, and Ms. Wallace's grandchildren T'yanna and CJ were among the famous faces in attendance.

Jay-Z's mother, Gloria Carter, was also spotted paying her respects to Ms. Wallace, as was Voletta's great-granddaughter.

"These are the best days of our lives" ... because TMZ has learned the brand-new cast for Season 12 of "Vanderpump Rules" will begin filming in a few weeks.

Production sources tell us ... the rebooted Bravo series will go into production in early April. We're told the cast is made up of 14 members ... some will be full-time and others will be friends of the cast.

We're told the rebooted version of the long-running series will keep its original formula, which will take viewers inside the hookups, feuds and drama surrounding Lisa Vanderpump's West Hollywood restaurant, SUR. We're told the SUR-vers' homes and lives outside the restaurant will be the meat of the show.

Charges have been filed against seven individuals -- including minors -- involved in an ugly brawl that forced a Pennsylvania high school basketball playoff game to end early, police confirmed to TMZ Sports.
