You knew this was coming ...

Alex Rodriguez was epically teased over his ex, Jennifer Lopez, getting engaged to Ben Affleck ... with Michael Kay hinting at it during the Yankees vs. Red Sox game -- and the moment is hilarious.

The ex-MLB slugger was chopping it up with his co-host during the "KayRod" broadcast of "Sunday Night Baseball" on ESPN 2 ... when Kay decided to poke some fun.

"It's a great time in sports," Kay said in the 9th inning. "You have a new Masters champion, NBA playoffs are about to start, baseball's in full swing, people getting engaged. I mean, it's a happy time in the world."

A-Rod's reaction is priceless -- he awkwardly plays along and says, "Happiness and world peace is what we're looking for."

The best part -- after 2 seconds of piercing silence, A-Rod returned his focus to the game ... saying, "The 2-1 pitch."

Remember, J-Rod started dating in 2017 ... and were engaged in 2019. They never made it to the alter, as they broke up in 2021.

As for Kay and Rodriguez, they didn't always have the greatest relationship ... but it seems like they're all good now.

Jennifer Lopez tried throwing folks off the engagement scent hours before announcing she's going to marry Ben Affleck ... because she lost the huge rock while out with her fiancé.

Bennifer were out and about Friday checking in on some commercial real estate in L.A. they may, perhaps, be in the market for -- which isn't all that crazy, especially since they just snapped up a massive estate together ... and are now going to be man and wife.

As you can see, the love birds were showing off PDA as they perused what's been described to us as an empty office studio housed in a warehouse of some sort. While they were outside, Jen had her arms wrapped around Ben's waist .. and THAT finger was exposed.

Clearly, there's no ring there ... unlike from just a few days earlier, when she was spotted doing furniture shopping with the emerald green diamond perched nicely on her digit.

Jen wasn't hiding the fact she'd ditched the hardware either ... even inside, you can see there was no ring in sight. So yeah, it would appear she wanted to keep it low-key before going public later that very same evening -- at which point, the cat was outta the bag.

Jen told the world through a video message on her website On the JLo -- where she posted a video of her apparently receiving the ring from Ben and tearing up. It's a beaut -- and she even threw her old ode to BA 'Dear Ben' as the overlaying track played in the background.

As the quick clip fades out, you can hear the opening lines of the song -- "You're Perfect" -- which itself is kinda perf ... in that it can refer to both Ben and the diamond as well.

So, now that everyone knows they're due to get hitched (again) -- the question is ... will Jen wear the ring out in public all day, every day??? Considering how head over heels they are for one another, our guess would be yes. And why the heck not ... it's real purrrty, after all.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are giving it another shot -- the pair are engaged -- nearly 20 years after Ben first asked Jen for her hand in marriage.

Of course, we noticed Ben may have popped the question already when J Lo was spotted out furniture shopping with her daughter and was wearing a massive diamond on THAT finger. Interestingly enough, she tried to flip the diamond into her palm when she saw a cam.

The engagement comes on the heels of another very significant step for the couple -- they recently plunked down around $55 million on a massive Bel-Air estate together.

The home has plenty of room to blend their families with 20,000 sq ft. 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms ... not to mention a pool with stunning views.

J Lo and her daughter, Emme, were out furniture shopping Monday, possibly for their new $55 million home, and if you take a closer look, there's definitely a diamond on the singer's left ring finger.

Interestingly enough, J Lo seems to pick up on the fact there's a photog, because on her way out of the store, she appears to flip the ring, hiding the diamond side in her palm.

If it's legit, the engagement would come on the heels of another big step in Ben and Jen's relationship ... the $55 mil mansion they just went in on together.

As we've previously reported, the massive 10-bedroom, 17-bathroom estate sits in the ritzy Bel-Air area of Los Angeles ... and J Lo and Ben are gearing up to blend their families together and make it their home.

BTW, it wouldn't be the first time the two got engaged to each other, Ben popped the question 18 years ago ... but they called things off before any wedding.

Avril Lavigne and her boyfriend Mod Sun may have officially taken things to the next level ... 'cause she's wearing what appears to be an engagement ring!!

The "Girlfriend" singer was spotted, Tuesday, arriving at a studio in Los, Angeles rockin' a MASSIVE diamond ring on THAT finger. Interestingly enough, she wasn't wearing the ring when she hit the Grammy's red carpet over the weekend ... so if the engagement did happen it was either very recent, or she just didn't want it known at the award show.

Of course, if legit, it would mean she and long-time BF Mod Sun have a wedding to plan, we've seen their relationship grow over the last year or so, and both have seemed super happy.

As you may know, the couple wrote the single "Flames" and appeared in the music video together, back in January 2021 ... and have been posting and showcasing their love, since.

The two officially made their debut on the red carpet for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. And, Mod Sun even got Avril's name tattooed on his neck, so obviously, things are serious.

Ja Morant just had one of the best jewelry shopping sprees ever -- he copped a bunch of expensive diamonds ... and then shot tequila with Gunna!!!

The fun time all went down at the Icebox jewelry store in Atlanta last week ... when the NBA star came to the famous showroom to get some of his old pieces cleaned up and to shop for more.

Eventually, we're told Morant copped several items -- a 14MM Miami Cuban bracelet, three other diamond bracelets and two diamond rings.

He also got a leather Icebox travel case to carry all his new bling ... and we're told his overall shopping spree bill came out to over $55K!

Kodak Black is strapped for time these days -- booking gigs here, there and everywhere -- but at least he's got a sweet new watch for his travels ... and it's worth its weight in gold.

The rapper recently had a ridiculously pricey timepiece delivered to him in Miami -- a Richard Mille RM 030, completely iced-out with diamonds and valued at about $300k!!!

The rapper's definitely getting back into the swing of things since getting released from prison last year -- thanks to then-Prez Donald Trump -- when he had his sentence commuted. As we've reported, he's kept fairly busy in a variety of ways.

Not only has he been charitable, but he's also getting hired for jobs around the globe. And, unfortunately, he seems to have found some trouble in the year-plus since walking out a free man ... sometimes through no fault of his own (that wild shooting comes to mind).

Colby Covington told police the watch that was damaged when Jorge Masvidal attacked him earlier this week was a $90,000 Rolex.

The detail was revealed in new police documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, in which cops say the UFC star told them Masvidal caused $15,000 worth of damage to the pricey piece of jewelry when he attacked him outside of Papi Steak in Miami on Monday night.

In the docs, cops say Covington told them his watch "had scratches and a bent/broken wristband" following the altercation.

The new docs also revealed Covington did go to the Miami Beach Police Criminal Investigations Division to press charges on Masvidal.

Cops in the docs also say Masvidal had an injury to his right hand/knuckles "where he had stitches that occurred prior to police contact" when he turned himself in on Wednesday night.

Jennifer Hudson's 10-year engagement to WWE wrestler David Otunga is a thing of the past with lots of hard feelings ... and now the bling is hitting the auction block.

David had Neil Lane design the 5-carat cushion cut diamond ring for Jennifer back in 2008, which has an estimated retail value of $45K.

When they broke up in 2017, Jennifer returned the ring to David. FYI ... in legalese, an engagement ring is a "gift in contemplation of marriage." If the marriage doesn't go through, in most states the person who gave the ring -- in this case David -- gets it back.

This is a first ... a Bev Hills jewelry store was hit by robbers who smashed the window that displayed super expensive bling right in the middle of the day and made off with everything inside.

It went down at Luxury Jewels of Beverly Hills just after 1 PM. The store was open when 5 people showed up and took some kind of instrument to the window, shattering it .... the thieves grabbed everything in the showcase and took off.

A source at the Beverly Hills PD tells TMZ they have never seen such a brazen robbery like this ... even with all the smash-and-grabs around town.

The robbers never went inside ... they just took what was in the display window and split.

Rihanna might have love on the brain ... rocking a massive diamond on her ring finger while doing some baby prep!

RiRi's expecting her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky ... she was out shopping for baby clothes Monday in L.A. at Kitson. The huge rock -- which she's worn before on different fingers in the past -- was now exactly where it should be ... if, of course, an engagement actually went down.

She was wearing the same bling back in November on her middle finger as she was named Barbados' 11th National Hero.

The Rihanna diamond goes back to July 2021 ... she was wearing it on her right ring finger while shooting a music video with A$AP in New York.

She was also wearing a fitted tee ... proudly showing off her growing baby bump.

As we reported, the couple announced their pregnancy at the end of January. They started dating in early 2020.

NFL running back Gus Edwards says his diamond chain and fancy watch were taken at gunpoint outside of an L.A. strip club back in December -- and now, he's suing the place and its valet service, claiming the heist was all their fault.

The 26-year-old Baltimore Ravens player spelled out the allegations in a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, saying he and his friend, Loomis Zayzay, were at Crazy Girls on Dec. 11, 2021 when the robbery went down.

Edwards says he and Zayzay drove their vehicle to the club's valet and paid the $60 fee to leave their ride there. Edwards says the two then entered the venue, and paid another $800 to sit in a private area guarded by security.

But, Edwards says after about an hour, Crazy Girls employees began fighting -- so the two men left. When they went to pick up their car at the valet outside the club, Edwards says five masked men -- each holding a firearm -- got out of a car, confronted them, and demanded their jewelry.

Edwards says he and Zayzay attempted to fend off the robbers -- but, in the suit, the football player says the men eventually ended up taking his $50,000 custom necklace and $25,000 watch. Edwards says Zayzay's $60,000 Audemars Piguet watch was also stolen in the altercation.

Edwards says they obtained video of the incident that showed Crazy Girls security guards made no attempt to intervene in the robbery. Edwards also says the club's head of security told them to call 911.

In the docs, Edwards says cops showed up and took a report, and everyone went home.

But, roughly a week later, Edwards says a person with the username "Johnny Blaze" sent him a message on Instagram, and told him he had been "set up by the valet." Edwards also says "Blaze" told him the jewelry had been taken to a local jewelry business. Edwards claims in his suit the jeweler there "confirmed that someone did try to sell him" Edwards and Zayzay's jewelry, though he declined to purchase it all.

Edwards and Zayzay are now suing the club and the valet service, asking for more than $800,000 in damages.

We reached out to Edwards' attorney, Jason J. Chong, for a statement ... but he declined to comment. We also reached out to Crazy Girls for comment, but so far, no word back yet.

Scary news out of the D.R. ... New York Yankees utility man Miguel Andujar was reportedly beaten and robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday.

The incident happened while the 27-year-old was on his farm, the Listin Diario reported on Friday. The outlet added Andujar's $7,000 watch was taken during the incident, as was his father's SUV.

According to the report, two armed men beat the baseball player before forcing him to hand over his jewelry. The men then allegedly took Andujar's dad's car before later abandoning it.

Several gunshots were fired during the altercation, the outlet reported. But, Andujar is thankfully said to be in stable condition. Cops are reportedly investigating.

Andujar was expected to join the Yankees at spring training in Florida in just a couple days.

We reached out to the Yanks for comment, but so far, no word back yet.

Andujar was a star for NYY in his rookie season in 2018 -- batting .297 with 27 home runs -- but he's struggled to find similar success in the following seasons while battling injuries.

A plan to sell counterfeit Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl rings has been thwarted ... feds just announced they seized a bunch of fake K.C. Chiefs title bling in a huge bust in Louisville.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced Monday that officers intercepted a package that they say contained a small fortune-worth of fake Mahomes merch as well as other counterfeit sports memorabilia.

According to the CBP, the package -- which came from China and was heading toward Florida -- contained 30 fake Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl rings, 110 fake Atlanta Braves World Series rings, 10 fake Milwaukee Bucks NBA championship rings and 80 fake Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl rings.

In a photo of some of the seized "jewelry" ... you can see Mahomes' name was engraved on some of the merch, along with his number and the words "Chiefs Kingdom."

The CBP said in total, the package was worth $345,000.
