Yoshinobu Yamamoto's home was the target of a burglary attempt on Wednesday morning, TMZ Sports has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... at around 5 AM, three people were seen on surveillance video at the Dodgers star's Los Angeles-area home shattering a glass door and several windows.

Fortunately for the Cy Young candidate, we're told the thieves did not gain access to the place ... scattering once 911 was called by private security.

Demented trolls are poking fun at one of the NYC shooter's victims this week ... saying a corporate real-estate executive got "LUIGI'D" -- a reference to alleged UnitedHealthCare CEO killer Luigi Mangione.

Social media scoundrels posted a photo on X of a woman named Wesley LePatner -- senior managing director of Blackstone -- who was one of 4 people fatally shot by Shane Tamura inside a Manhattan skyscraper Monday night before he took his own life.

The pic shows LePatner in a corporate setting with the word “LUIGI’D” stamped across her face in big red letters, along with a caption that reads, “Wesley LePatner, CEO of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, has been evicted from the mortal plane."

Midtown Manhattan was plunged into panic on the evening of July 28, 2025, when a lone gunman entered a Park Avenue skyscraper and opened fire, killing four people and wounding another individual ... before the shooter died by suicide, ending the rampage.

The suspect in the incident was identified as Shane Tamura, who allegedly drove across the country in order to carry out the shocking attack.

We're going to take a look at the background of the gunman and see what led up to the violent incident.

Tamura spent his teenage years in Southern California, where he attended Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita before transferring to Granada Hills Charter High School.

The suspect joined the latter school's football team, and its former assistant coach, Walter Roby, described him to Fox 11 as "a quiet, hard worker" who led others through "his actions on the field."

One of Tamura's former classmates and teammates, Caleb Clarke, claimed the suspect was "a jokester" in high school and added he "never would have thought violence was something you’d associate with" the alleged suspect in their early years, according to NBC News.

Clarke said a future in athletics was "definitely on the table" for his former classmate, who had apparently become aware of his peers "telling him how great he was."

Tamura entered the security industry after leaving high school, and he later moved to Las Vegas, where he was employed in the surveillance department at the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino at the time he undertook his trip to NYC, according to ABC News.

The suspect had a concealed firearms permit, which was found at the scene of the shooting. It was issued in 2022, and it was set to expire in 2027.

He also received a private-investigator license in Nevada in 2019 -- although it eventually expired, according to CNN.

Tamura had two Mental Health Crisis Holds in Nevada in 2022 and 2024. The holds generally allow for an individual to be held for up to 72 hours if they're found to be a potential danger to themselves or other people.

Tamura's vehicle had been driven across the country prior to the mass shooting, and a BMW he exited in Manhattan was registered in his name in Nevada.

The car passed through Colorado on Saturday, July 26, made it to Iowa the following day ... and it was in Columbia, New Jersey just a few hours before the shootings.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated officials found a loaded revolver, ammunition, a rifle case with rounds, and multiple magazines in the vehicle, according to the New York Post.

In addition to the weapon and the ammunition, medication prescribed to Tamura was also found in the car.

Police found Tamura had a note on him claiming he'd been suffering from the effects of CTE, or Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, according to the New York Post.

The disease is typically found in individuals with lengthy histories of repeated head impacts, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Tamura made a reference to former NFL player Terry Long, who was posthumously diagnosed with the condition after drinking antifreeze, in his note, where he also claimed the league "failed us."

Tamura alleged the NFL "knowingly concealed the dangers to our brains to maximize profits" despite having never played professional football at any point in the past.

Shane Tamura, the gunman who killed 4 people in Manhattan -- including a cop -- on Monday and seriously wounded another -- used to work as an unarmed security guard ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for Securitas USA, a prominent protective security services company, tells TMZ ... Tamura was previously employed by the organization, and worked in Nevada.

It sounds like the company didn't see any red flags when hiring him ... with the rep telling us, "When he was hired, he completed all required background screening requirements, and his work history was unremarkable."

The shooter who targeted the NFL headquarters in New York and opened fire died by suicide by shooting himself in the chest ... an unusual move, and it appears he wanted his brain preserved to prove a point.

Investigators found a 3-page suicide note on 27-year-old Shane Tamura's body claiming he had CTE, our law enforcement sources say. CTE is a degenerative brain disease found in individuals with a history of repeated head impacts, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Police say the gunman wanted his brain studied and that's why he used the unusual means to end his life.

The New York Police Department officer slain in the NYC skyscraper attack Monday night was a married immigrant father of 2 young boys with a third child on the way.

Didarul Islam, 36, moved to America from Bangladesh and served as an NYPD officer for over 3 years, Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch revealed in a news conference. He was assigned to the Bronx and was off-duty, working a corporate security detail at the time of his murder.

Tisch praised him as a true hero, noting ... "He was doing the job that we asked him to do. He put himself in harm’s way. He made the ultimate sacrifice. He died as he lived. A hero."

He opened fired as soon as he entered the skyscraper’s lobby, shooting and ultimately killing NYPD officer Didarul Islam, a father of 2 with another child on the way.

5:46 PM PT -- An off-duty police officer and at least four other people are dead from the shooting, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

The gunman has been identified as 27-year-old Shane Tamura of Las Vegas according to our law enforcement sources.

Prosecutors in Scotland tell TMZ ... the man in the viral video is 41-year-old Abhay Nayak, and he's been charged with assault, plus a violation of the United Kingdom's air navigation order.

We're told Nayak has not entered a plea yet and he's in custody awaiting his next court appearance.

Eleven people were stabbed over the weekend at a Walmart in Michigan, in what authorities are calling a random and unprovoked attack.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office said a 42-year-old man entered the store around 4:45 PM and used a folding knife to stab 11 people before being taken into custody. A sheriff's deputy arrived within minutes, with help from bystanders in subduing the suspect and aiding the victims.

Munson Healthcare confirmed all 11 victims were being treated at its regional hospital. Six were listed in critical condition, and five were in serious condition. The Sheriff said the suspect is believed to be a Michigan resident. The weapon used appeared to be a folding knife.

Tyler Boebert, the 20-year-old son of Lauren Boebert, is facing a misdemeanor child abuse charge following an incident involving the congresswoman’s grandson, according to a report.

According to records, obtained by Denver Westword, through the Windsor Police Department, the July 11 citation stems from criminal negligence where no injury or death occurred.

In a statement to TMZ, the Colorado Republican representative downplayed the incident, calling it "a miscommunication on monitoring my young grandson that recently led to him getting out of our house." She emphasized no physical harm took place and said her family has already met with Child Protective Services to ensure the safety of all children in the home.

Micheal Ward, a British actor famous for his work in the Netflix series "Top Boy," is facing some serious allegations across the pond ... he's been hit with multiple charges of rape and sexual assault.

London's Met Police say Ward is charged with two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault in relation to an alleged January 2023 incident with a woman.

The Met says Ward is due to appear in Thames Magistrates' Court in London on August 28.

The Epstein Files controversy continues to dog President Donald Trump as his relationship with the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender is under greater scrutiny lately ... now CNN is releasing more newly unearthed video of the two men together, happily chatting it up at an event in 1999.

In the newly unearthed video, obtained by CNN ... Epstein and Trump stand close together in a crowd at a Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York City -- Trump tapping on his shoulder at one point -- as they interact with other attendees ... including a young Melania.

In the minute-long-plus video of spliced-together clips from the event, Trump and Epstein are also seen sitting a couple of seats apart along the runway ... as a young Tyra Banks struts down the stage. Trump and Melania sit next to each other and enthusiastically comment on the models.

Every woman's worst nightmare is all rolled up into this one terrifying video ... which shows a prowler peering at a naked woman sleeping in bed next to her snoozing husband.

And if that's not scary enough ... the intruder can even be seen using a flashlight to examine the woman's body inside the Costa del Sol house in southern Spain.

Check out the creepy surveillance footage taken from inside the home ... the masked suspect stands at the base of the bed with the woman on one side and her husband on the other.

The burglar then bends over to inspect the woman's figure with his flashlight. What's frightening is that she and her partner have no clue the stranger is right there because they're asleep, leaving them completely vulnerable.
