1:14 PM PT -- Rod Wave's attorneys Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg and Zack Findling tell TMZ ... Rod was "was unjustly profiled and unlawfully arrested in Atlanta. The arresting officer belongs to the Atlanta Police Department’s controversial Crime Suppression Unit -- a group known for its aggressive tactics and emphasis on high arrest numbers rather than genuine public safety."

They add Wave was targeted because of the unit's "quota-driven approach" ... a practice they say completely undermines true justice as well as trust in the community. The lawyers say they looked forward to defending Rod and pointing out the "clear violations of [his] rights in court."

Rapper Rod Wave was arrested in Fulton County, Georgia Friday on weapon and drug charges.

TMZ has learned he was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department for possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, reckless driving, possession of a Schedule V controlled substance and possession of Schedule II controlled substance.

He is still in custody as of Saturday morning, but won't be for long. Rod's attorney, Drew Findling, tells TMZ ... he already had his first appearance in court, where they agreed to an $8,000 bond.

A dog on a routine morning walk through Los Angeles accidentally ingested meth ... and it created a nightmare situation for him and his owners.

The pooch, a 4-year-old German Shepherd Husky mix named Atreyu, was out on a walk in North Hollywood when Karla Vicuña noticed some strange behavior.

She told KTLA the dog "was not able to settle down ... his eyes were moving in a weird way."

"Selling Sunset" star Nicole Young is pushing back on serious claims levied by Chrishell Stause and Amanza Smith ... telling TMZ she's never had a substance abuse problem.

We got Nicole at Royal Smoothie Studio City in L.A. and our photog asked her straight up if she's ever had a drug problem, as Chrishell and Amanza claimed during this season's "Friendsgiving" episode.

Nicole tells us she's never had a problem with substances and says Chrishell and Amanza know that full well ... which she says makes their public claims all the more "heinous."

Victor Conte, a central figure in one of the biggest scandals in American sports history, has died at the age of 75 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Conte's supplement company, SNAC, announced the sad news on Monday, writing ... "We are Heartbroken by the Passing of our Fearless Leader, SNAC Mastermind | SNAC CEO | Anti-Doping Advocate | Creator of ZMA | Former Tower of Power and Herbie Hancock Bassist, Victor Conte."

Police in Peru had their spidey senses tingling on Halloween ... because they busted three suspected drug dealers ... with the help of an undercover officer in costume as Spider-Man!

The three folks who were arrested on Halloween by Spider-Man and Co. were allegedly involved in drug trafficking ... and police say they seized 2,100 packets of cocaine paste and a bunch of cash.

The death of Robert De Niro's 19-year-old grandson Leandro Anthony De Niro-Rodriguez is allegedly linked to a criminal network that targeted teens and adults living in New York City ... this according to federal prosecutors.

Five alleged drug suppliers arrested in the case -- Bruce "Tea" Epperson, Eddie Barreto, Grant "Dizzy" McIver, John "John John" Nicolas and Roy Nicolas -- were purportedly wrapped up in a drug distribution ring that also involved 2 other unnamed drug dealers who helped distribute their supplies. One of the unnamed dealers allegedly sold Leandro the lethal batch of drugs that took his life.

The unnamed dealer allegedly DM'd back and forth with someone the documents refer to as "Victim 3" -- reportedly Leandro -- about providing him with fentanyl pills after the overdose death of another alleged victim.

Two years after the death of Robert De Niro's 19-year-old grandson, Leandro Anthony De Niro-Rodriguez, the family is still searching for answers ... now authorities have made 5 more arrests in the case, TMZ has learned.

Leandro was found dead on July 2, 2023 from what was reportedly determined to be an accidental drug overdose. According to People, a DEA official told the outlet the suspects taken into custody in New York are being charged with death resulting from the sale of narcotics.

The 5 men were charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances resulting in death, NBC 4 New York reports.

Rosie O'Donnell must be pretty worried about the well-being of her daughter Chelsea right now ... because the comedian's child is set to spend time in prison.

Here's the deal ... the actress shared a photo from Chelsea's younger days on her Instagram account on Wednesday, and writing "she faces a scary future- prayers welcomed."

She said her daughter has been dealing with substance abuse issues, and her battle with addiction "took over her life."

Bam Margera is tapping into his own past while weighing in on Britney Spears’ situation ... telling TMZ he’s more than willing to help the pop star if she ever needs a hand.

Adrian Peterson has been arrested after allegedly driving while under the influence ... TMZ has learned.

According to online records, Peterson was arrested in Sugar Land, Texas around 10 AM local time Sunday. He was booked on one charge of DWI and one charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.

This is Peterson's second DWI arrest this year after he was popped in Minnesota back in April shortly after the Vikings draft day party when a police officer claimed they saw him going 83 in a 55 MPH zone at just after 3 AM.

Doug Martin apparently suffered from a pretty serious mental health episode months before his death ... with a new report claiming he jumped out of a 2nd story window and got into a physical altercation with some police officers.

The San Francisco Chronicle made the claim in a new article published Wednesday, citing reports from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office ... reporting Martin was put on an involuntary psychiatric hold back in August.

According to the Chronicle, Martin checked into Tranquility Rehab Center in Castro Valley in August ... and, they say he tested positive for cocaine and methamphetamines when he arrived.

K-Fed alleges the Grammy-winner drank alcohol while pregnant and on medication in an excerpt from his book, "You Thought You Knew," obtained by People.

Kevin writes, "That mix was... dangerous. F----d up, honestly ... You’re not supposed to drink when you’re on meds like that. A couple of glasses of wine for her would hit like a whole bottle because of the medication.”

Kevin Federline has dropped another bombshell Britney's way ... claiming she did cocaine during the same time she was breastfeeding their kids.

In an excerpt from his new tell-all, "You Thought You Knew," obtained by Variety, Federline recalls walking in on her, witnessing her doing coke and getting into a huge fight that led to their divorce.

He claims she was supposed to be home with their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, but showed up to his 2006 release party for "Playing With Fire."
