2020 Golden Globes Go with Dark or Bright Colors, Kid ... No In Between!!!

The Golden Globes are minutes away and it looks like Hollywood's gone with a washing machine approach to their getups, which has most everyone in either darks or lights.

Tons of stars stopped and posed for pictures on the way into the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and it's pretty clear a lot of them were either down to be draped in black, or the exact opposite ... with bright, loud colors. Not a whole lot in between, as far as we can see.

Some of the celebs who went with darker shades this year ... Naomi Watts, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Jennifer Aniston, Christina Applegate, Margot Robbie (ish), Cynthia Erivo and Carol Burnett.

A lot of the guys were naturally in darker colors too, including Ricky Gervais, Eddie Murphy, Kit Harington, Henry Winkler, Brad Pitt, Rami Malek and on and on.

Now, on the other end of things, there were also tons of actors who went with rainbow colors ... like Tiffany Haddish in pink, Roman Griffin Davis in orange, Olivia Colman in red, Zoey Deutch in yellow, Dakota Fanning in purple, Thomasin McKenzie in blue, Joey King and Billy Porter in white and Kaitlyn Dever in ... something that was a floral mix of sorts.

There was even more looks behind the scenes, where the stars mentioned above and more mingled and mixed with handshakes, hugs and congratulations as the Globes started getting doled out.

From the inside out, this year's Golden Globes proved to be a feel-good, fashion-forward affair.

Either way, everyone looks great dressed to the nines. Here's hoping they can sit down with all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the show.

Golden Globes Kate, Kaia, Gabby ... Let's Party, YSL Style!!!

Saint Laurent got into the act for Golden Globe weekend, throwing an epic party ahead of the ceremony.

It went down at a home in the Los Feliz area of L.A., and tons of stars were more than happy to accept the invite. Among them ... Dwyane Wade, Gabby Union, Hailey Bieber, Kaia Gerber, Kate Bosworth, Rami Malek and Taron Egerton.

The bash was thrown by Rami Malek and Anthony Vaccarello. Rami's nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV series for Mr. Robot. It's the third time he's been nominated for the role, but he's come up goose eggs each time.

Rami did win a Golden Globe last year for Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Pre-Globes Event 7th Gold Meets Golden ... Hollywood Doles Out Medals, Tunes

Hollywood's finest came out in droves for a pre-Golden Globes event which saw them mingling with Olympians -- and the get-together was nothing short of a tearjerker.

The ritzy shindig went down Saturday afternoon at one of the first-ever homes established in Bev Hills ... the Virginia Robinson Gardens mansion. It's called Gold Meets Golden, and the whole idea is to pair celebs with pro athletes all in the name of charity --  this in anticipation of Sunday's award show and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, of course.

For this 7th year -- which was hosted/presented by Coca Cola, BMW Beverly Hills, FASHWIRE along with other sponsors -- the proceeds were going toward Angel City Sports ... an org promoting adaptive sports for kids, adults and vets with physical disabilities.

ACTORS ON ATHLETES
TMZ.com

Definitely a cause worth getting behind ... and you could tell as much by who showed up -- including Nicole Kidman, Chris Evans, Rami Malek, Taron Egerton, Cynthia Erivo, Matt Bomer, Ben Platt, Beanie Feldstein, Zoey Deutch, Joey King, Naomi Watts, Lou Ferringo and more.

Of the Olympians and athletes in attendance ... Jackie Joyner Kersee, Nadia Comaneci, Bart Connors, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Ian Thorpe, Willie Gault, Metta World Peace, Apollo Anton Ohno, Kristi Yamaguchi and several others.

Check out the clip above ... you see Cynthia belting out a rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine," Taron and Sistine Stallone putting medals on the 2014 bobsled team and Matt Bomer presenting a cake to diver Greg Louganis for his 60th bday this month.

We're told there wasn't a dry eye throughout Saturday's proceedings -- and by the looks of all this ... we can see why. Pretty heartwarming stuff here 💖

Golden Globes 2020 Don't Blame 'Fiji Water Girl' For Our New Water Sponsor

Celebs at the upcoming "Golden Globe Awards" won't be getting their thirsts quenched by bottles of Fiji this year ... but it ain't "Fiji Water Girl's" fault.

The artesian water brand is not the official H2O sponsor at the 2020 Golden Globes -- that honor now goes to Icelandic Glacial -- but the reason, we're told, has nothing to do with Fiji's controversy and eventual fallout with its model, Kelleth Cuthbert (real name Kelly Steinbach).

Sources connected to the awards show tell TMZ ... the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had a 2-year deal with Fiji, but it ended last year. We're told it decided to go with Icelandic because not only is the brand environmentally conscious -- though Fiji is too -- but it has also agreed to donate water to a cause picked by the HFPA.

As you'll recall ... Kelleth went viral for photobombing almost every celeb at the 2019 show, by standing in the background smiling while holding a tray of Fiji bottles.

Some folks -- like Jamie Lee Curtis -- were unhappy with the blatant PR stunt and product placement, but the controversy got even worse when Kelleth sued Fiji ... claiming it continued to use her name and likeness for promotion without her permission.

Fiji countersued Kelleth, and as far as we know ... the case is still pending.

Our sources say bottles of Icelandic will be offered to Globes attendees on the red carpet and at every table at the venue just like the last 2 years with Fiji ... but it's unclear if the new H2O company will spark any viral moments.

Stay tuned ... the Golden Globes air Sunday night.

Lady Gaga Designer Calls Cops For Missing Globes Dress

UPDATE

1:05 PM PT -- A rep for the auction house tells us the auction will continue as planned, and they followed proper procedures in obtaining the dress.

UPDATE

11:48 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ someone from Valentino made an incident report with Beverly Hills Police on Friday about the missing dress. We're told the issue is being worked out between the hotel and designer ... and the dress will likely get yanked from the auction block.

Lady Gaga's dress from the 2019 Golden Globes is headed to auction ... but turns out, it could be a case of stolen goods.

A maid at the Beverly Hilton found the dress Lady Gaga wore to the 2019 Golden Globes, where she won an award for her work in "A Star is Born," while cleaning the celeb's room after the show.

Lady Gaga left the gown behind, and we're told the maid claimed she took it to lost and found where it sat until the hotel honchos gave it to the maid -- finder's keepers and all that. And, now the maid's trying to cash in by auctioning it off.

Here's the thing. Our Gaga sources say #1 -- the dress didn't belong to Gaga. It's a Valentino that was loaned to her for the event. We're told Valentino believes someone outright stole the dress and has either gone to police or plans to go to cops.

As you can see, Gaga's dress is a beautiful Valentino Haute Couture periwinkle blue gown ... designed specifically for Lady Gaga with cascading silk faille and a 10-foot train -- an homage to the dress worn by Judy Garland in the 1954 version of "A Star is Born."

The dress comes with a note from the maid ... explaining how the gown came into her possession. She says she's been employed by The Beverly Hilton for 24 years, and always works the Golden Globes.

Gaga's dress is going up for sale on Halloween via Nate D. Sanders Auctions, and bidding opens at $8,000 ... that is, unless the auctioneer gets cold feet given what we've found out.

'Fiji Water Girl' From Golden Globes Sues Fiji Water for Cardboard Cutouts

3:04 PM PT -- A rep for FIJI tells TMZ, "This lawsuit is frivolous and entirely without merit. After the Golden Globes social media moment, we negotiated a generous agreement with Ms. Cuthbert that she blatantly violated. We are confident that we will prevail in court. Throughout our history, we have had a sterling reputation working with talent."

The viral sensation that was the "Fiji Water Girl" photobombing every celeb at the Golden Globes is back -- just not in the flesh ... which is why she's suing the water company.

Kelly Steinbach -- who goes by her modeling name, Kelleth Cutbert -- is suing Fiji Water over a cardboard cutout campaign that she says the company launched without her permission. Steinbach claims Fiji used her unauthorized image holding the tray of Fiji water bottles at the award show.

She says they tried coaxing her into signing away her rights, and even though she did a mock video that appeared to be doing just that ... Steinbach claims she never actually put ink to paper on a real deal. It was all for show. Nonetheless, she claims Fiji moved forward.

Steinbach says that cardboard cutouts of herself started to pop up all over L.A., and one of those is pictured in a photo with John Legend from earlier this month.

She says the "Fiji Water Girl" viral moment generated upwards of $12 million in brand exposure, and now she's asking a judge to give her a piece of the pie.

Bradley Cooper Forget The Globes ... My Eagles Won!!

His movie lost ... but his football team WON!!

After getting shut out at the Golden Globes for "A Star Is Born," Bradley Cooper found comfort in his Eagles jacket on Monday ... after his team beat the Chicago Bears in the NFL playoffs.

Cooper is a HUGE Eagles fan -- he's from Philly and famously played an Eagle-aholic in "Silver Linings Playbook."

He was rocking his throwback Eagles jacket Monday morning in L.A. -- so, when we saw him at the TLC Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, we had to ask him about The Birds.

CHEESIN' FOR A REASON
TMZSports.com

The Eagles have some tough sledding ahead ... they take on the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes Benz Superdome on Sunday in the NFC Divisional Round.

The Eagles are 8 point underdogs -- the biggest underdogs of the NFL playoff weekend. It's not surprising considering the Saints wiped the floor with the Eagles when they faced off in Week 11 ... beating Philly 48 to 7.

But hey, any given Sunday ... right?

'Spider-Man' Director Peter Ramsey Weighs in on New Golden Globe ... Heavier Than Ya Think!!!

HANDLING SUCCESS
TMZ.com

One of the directors behind the Golden Globe-winning animated "Spider-Man" movie is more than happy to let us in on the new-look trophy -- in fact, he might be a little too generous!

We got Peter Ramsey Sunday night in WeHo, at the Globes after-party at Delilah, where he let our photog handle his new hardware first-hand. Turns out, these little golden buggers -- which got a big makeover this year -- are pretty damn heavy.

FWIW ... the Golden Globe statuettes are now tipping the scales at 7.8 pounds ... up more than 2 pounds from previous years. It's made of brass, zinc and bronze (yeah, no actual gold) and is also 3/4 of an inch taller -- so the supersize version's got some oomph.

You gotta see how Peter shared his Globe, handing it to just about anyone who wanted it. Just a tip, dude ... sometimes Hollywood trophies don't leave with their rightful owner. It happens.

Our camera guy also asked him where his GG is going. Trophy case? Garage? Bedroom? His answer's pretty simple.

Side note: "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" was awesome. Congrats, Pete!

Chrissy Metz Come On, People ... I Didn't Call Alison Brie a Bitch

I WOULD NEVER
TMZ.com

Chrissy Metz could not be clearer ... she did NOT call Alison Brie a bitch on the Golden Globes red carpet ... she called her a babe.

We got Chrissy leaving an after-party Sunday night in WeHo at Delilah ... and she scoffed at the notion she would shade her fellow actress like that.

TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL
Golden Globes

As the rain poured down, our photog asked Chrissy about the semi-off-mic passing comment, and she squarely dismissed what some people say they heard. The comments came during a Facebook Live pre-show hosted by AJ Gibson and Missi Pyle. It actually seems Chrissy started making her comment and trailed off because she was conscious of the mic.

For Allison's part, she said afterward, "Nothing but love for @chrissymetz !! Rumors can't keep us down!"

Dick Cheney Daughter Liz Slams Christian Bale ... Satan Inspired His DV Arrest

Everyone at the Golden Globes might've gotten a laugh from Christian Bale comparing Dick Cheney to Satan -- but the ex-Veep's daughter just took a big shot of her own ... invoking his 2008 domestic violence arrest.

Liz Cheney was reacting to Bale's acceptance speech Sunday night -- during which he thanked Satan for his inspiration to play Dick, saying, "Satan probably inspired him to do this, too."

Liz fired back with a UK article about Christian being arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister.

For the record ... British prosecutors declined to file charges against him, citing insufficient evidence. Bale denied the allegations.

In case you missed it, Bale's acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Film for his portrayal of Cheney in "Vice" was ... interesting, to say the least. He literally thanked the devil for giving him inspiration ... and went on to refer to his infamous 'Terminator' outburst.

As far as his subject goes ... there's clearly no love lost between Bale and the Cheneys. Dick himself has yet to comment on Bale's remarks, BTW.

76th Annual Golden Globes Behind the Scenes ... Celebs Party Hard, Win or Lose!!!

Tyler Perry said it best at the 76th annual Golden Globes when he confessed the celebs in the room were just as drunk as they seem on TV -- and the pics of them partying are even more proof.

Okay, no one's puking at their table ... but people like Penelope Cruz, Ricky Martin, Regina King, Adam Driver, Lady Gaga and Amy Adams were definitely feeling good. Check out the gallery to see Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, and Denzel Washington and Spike Lee having a blast.

It's traditionally the best part of the Golden Globes -- the fact that even if you aren't nominated, or don't win a Globe, it's just a cool party ... and you can see that in these shots.

And yes, we got the Dude himself, Jeff Bridges -- who won the Cecil B. DeMille award -- toasting his big night with the other dude ... Sam Elliott. Awesome!

Chrissy Metz Denies Calling Alison Brie a Bitch During Golden Globes Pre-Show

TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL
Golden Globes

5:45 AM PT -- Alison Brie responded on her Instagram Story posting a pic of the two from SAG Awards, saying, "Nothing but love for @chrissymetz !! Rumors can't keep us down!"

Chrissy Metz seems to have forgotten how a microphone works -- 'cause it sounds like she called fellow actress Alison Brie a bitch ahead of the Golden Globes ... but Chrissy says that isn't the case.

The 'This Is Us' star was being interviewed on the Globes' own Facebook Live pre-show by AJ Gibson and Missi Pyle when toward the end of their chat, AJ asked Chrissy if she knew who Alison was. Chrissy sarcastically responded, "Do I?"

AJ said Alison was on the other end of the red carpet, and as the camera panned to Alison with another Globes host ... Chrissy can be heard saying what sounds a lot like, "She's such a bitch." The audio fades out a bit as the line is delivered.

It's unclear if Chrissy was aware her mic had picked up the comment, but it doesn't appear Alison heard her as she didn't react. Chrissy commented on the news ... calling the "bitch" angle fabricated, and saying she adores Alison and would never say a bad word about her or anyone ... adding, "I sure hope she knows my heart."

It's odd though ... Chrissy doesn't clarify what exactly was said.

Alison has been nominated for her first-ever Golden Globe for her role in "GLOW" -- and Chrissy, of course, has been nominated a couple times already for her role on the NBC drama.

Weirdly enough ... they've posed together at events before, and there doesn't seem to be any surface-level bad blood between the two stars.

Yusuf Islam aka Cat Stevens Jokes About Getting Into U.S. At Sean Penn's CORE Event

CLOSE CALL

Yusuf Islam -- formerly known as Cat Stevens -- apparently had a tough time getting into the U.S. for Sean Penn's annual pre-Globes gala ... but it's unclear what the problem was.

The iconic British singer-songwriter was one of the performers at Penn's CORE charity event Saturday night, which raises money for disaster relief efforts in Haiti and other countries across the Caribbean every year ahead of the Golden Globes.

While introducing Yusuf, Penn noted he almost wasn't permitted to come. He doesn't elaborate beyond that, and Yusuf went on to play a beautiful set in front of folks like Julia Roberts, Anderson Cooper, Casey Affleck, Jamie Foxx, Mike Myers, Keegan Michael Key, Bonnie Hunt, Allison Williams, Larry David, Connie Britton, Ben Stiller ... and other stars in attendance.

However, based on Yusuf's history with the United States -- he was literally banned from entering the country between '04 and '06 for alleged ties to terrorist efforts, which was later found to be bogus -- it's possible his past gave him issues with U.S. Customs ... especially under the Trump administration.

JOB HUNTING

Speaking of Trump ... Penn later joked that he'd applied to be Trump's new Chief of Staff in light of General John Kelly stepping down last month. Classic dry humor from SP here.

The good times didn't stop there either -- Mike Meyers tried auctioning off his cell phone case for $40k (to no avail) and Julia Roberts ended up winning World Cup tickets with her hubby ... for no less than $100k, of course.

Billy Porter Slays Singing 'A Star is Born' Song ... At Star-Studded Event

GOING GAGA
TMZ.com

A gathering of A-list celebs and top-notch athletes got an early Golden Globes appetizer, and there's nothing shallow about it ... except the name of the song.

"Pose" star Billy Porter performed the Golden-Globe nominated hit, "Shallow," at the Gold Meets Golden event Saturday at The House on Sunset in Weho. Mark Ronson -- who co-wrote the track with Lady Gaga and others for "A Star is Born" -- introduced him.

The midday gala brings celebrity actors and entertainers together with medal-winning Olympians to celebrate awards season and raise awareness and support for sports-related causes.

This year's attendees included Nicole Kidman -- seen here snapping a pic with Michelle Kwan and Paralympic medalists Amy Purdy and Tatyana McFadden -- Jessica Chastain, Edgar Ramirez, Amy Adams, Matt Bomer, Octavia Spencer, Jenna Dewan, Adam Rippon, Joe Alwyn and many more.

BTW ... Porter's also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series for "Pose." The show's Sunday night.

Good luck!

Gloria Allred SAGs, Oscars Shouldn't Go To Alleged Sexual Predators

PAY THE PRICE!
TMZ.com

Voting members for award shows should factor in sexual harassment accusations in determining whether an actor wins an Oscar, SAG Award, Golden Globe, etc. ... according to attorney Gloria Allred.

There's a fierce argument about bestowing actors accused of sexual misdeeds with an award, even if they're the best in their category. Allred thinks it's not just about acting.

James Franco is up for a SAG this weekend for his role in "The Disaster Artist" after several women came forward and accused him of sexual misconduct. He skipped out on the Critics' Choice Awards after winning a Golden Globe, but he's planning on being at Sunday's SAGs.

Allred doesn't name names, but it's not hard to guess the elephants in the room.

'Moonlight' Star Jharrel Jerome 'Get Out' May Lose at Oscars Because of Trump

DON'T GO BACKWARDS!
TMZ.com

"Moonlight" star Jharrel Jerome is fearful ... in the world of Donald Trump, black-themed movies may not stand a chance at the Oscars.

We got Jharrel Thursday at Salt Lake City International Airport and he seemed disheartened at the chances of "Get Out" winning ANYTHING at the Oscars ... and it sounds like he blames it on Trump and the worsening racial tensions in the last year.

"Get Out" was shut out at the Golden Globes and he worries Jordan Peele's film may suffer in the current climate.

Our photog also asks whether nominating black-themed movies might be a ploy to pay lip service to the films with no intention of bestowing awards on them.
