Bam Margera just avoided jail time in his DUI case ... instead getting probation, AA meetings and some fines and fees.
We broke the story, Bam was pulled over by the CHP back in January for being on his phone while driving. Cops detected a strong scent of alcohol on the "Jackass" star, he took a breathalyzer and failed and was eventually charged with two counts of DUI.
Law enforcement sources tell us he was hit with 3 years probation, has to attend an alcohol program, pay fines and fees, go to AA meetings and go through a "live in" program.
Margera checked himself into rehab shortly after the arrest.
There ain't gonna be any lil' Steve-Os scaling cranes or lighting themselves on fire anytime soon, or ever for that matter, according to Steve-O who is on his way to Puerto Rico to get a vasectomy, but he's not doing it alone.
We got Steve-O and his pooch, Wendy, at LAX about to board a flight to Puerto Rico where he'll not only be helping with ongoing hurricane relief, but also spaying and neutering 1,000 dogs and cats. Steve-O says he believes in the cause so much he's doing it to himself, although it sounds like he's got another agenda.
You'll have to watch the video to find out who's playing nurse in the OR and also for Steve-O's fiancee's reaction.
Steve-O just might've pulled of the craziest stunt of his life ... he got engaged to his girlfriend, Lux Wright!!!
Steve-O popped the question Saturday night onstage at the end of a comedy special he was filming in Denver with his "Jackass" buddies and family in the audience, and when we got him Sunday at LAX he gave us a firsthand look at the ring he put on Lux.
If he sounds like a new man rather than the guy known for putting a black widow spider in his mouth for shits and giggles, just wait till you hear his dream wedding plans ...
Good luck, bro! We're rooting for you!
Bam Margera has officially been charged with 2 counts of DUI ... TMZ has learned.
The L.A. City Attorney's Office has charged Bam with 1 count of driving under the influence and 1 count of driving with a .08 or higher. If convicted, Bam could face up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine, though that's unlikely.
Although he's struggled with alcohol abuse for years ... this is Bam's first DUI, and first-time offenders in L.A. County rarely get jail time.
TMZ broke the story ... Bam was busted earlier this month after cops saw Bam on his cell phone. Once pulled over, cops conducted field sobriety and breathalyzer tests before arresting the "Jackass" star.
Bam checked into rehab last week.
If you thought Steve-O was wild in "Jackass," then strap in for his new project that supposedly puts Johnny Knoxville's stunts to shame ... with things like human snow angels doused in burning rocket engine fuel.
Steve-O posted a video Thursday in which he's covered in boils from what look like 1st or maybe even 2nd degree burns ... from the "fire angels" stunt. He won't show us the stunt ... just the aftermath. It's part of a new comedy special Steve O's doing with "Jackass" director Jeff Tremaine.
No word on a release date yet -- but this sounds epic ... and painful.
Steve-O wasn't satisfied to just jump off a bridge ... instead, he earned some style points by throwing a trampoline into the mix, and he's lucky to be alive.
The former "Jackass" star was in Tampa, FL Saturday pulling off the new stunt -- leaping off a high bridge into the Intracoastal Waterway from a trampoline mounted to the back of a pickup.
Seconds after his leap, Steve's friends shouted ... he could be dead. As it was, surviving was NOT pretty.
As for WHY in the world he did this? He's Steve-O.
Ryan Dunn from "Jackass" is tweeting bizarre messages -- which is weird due to him being dead -- and his family's on a mission to stop the "disgusting" hackers, stat.
The tweets started posting a few days ago and were written as if it were Ryan from beyond the grave. One of them joked Ryan had met Harambe the gorilla in heaven -- and another references Tupac.
Ryan's mom, Linda, tells us the posts aren't coming from any friends or family ... and she has no idea how the account got hacked. They never took it down after his death.
You'll recall, Dunn died in a 2011 car crash -- he plowed his Porsche into woods at 130 MPH following a night of heavy drinking.
Linda's reached out to Twitter to have the hacked tweets removed, but so far she hasn't heard back.
Vincent Margera -- the uncle of Bam Margera who appeared in "Jackass" -- has died ... TMZ has learned.
Vincent became famous for pranks he pulled off with Bam on the TV show and later the "Jackass" movies as well as "Viva La Bam".
It's a double blow for Bam, who lost his best friend and co-star Ryan Dunn, who was killed in a car crash.
Vincent has been struggling with kidney and liver failure for several years. He fell into a coma last month and has been in bad shape ever since.
Bam's mom tells us, Vincent passed away Sunday at 6:45 AM.
Vincent was 59. RIP.
Bam Margera was viciously attacked in Iceland Saturday at the Secret Solstice Festival.
A festival spokesman claims the "Jackass" star was in a "really weird condition" and tried strong-arming his way into the production room. The spokesman says Bam started heckling 2 women who were blocking him, and that's when the went lights out.
Bam claims it was quite the opposite ... he says the attack had nothing to do with the 2 women, and says he was brutally attacked by "a scumbag" who helps run the festival.
Steve-O's latest stunt -- backflipping from a bridge into the shallow, San Antonio River -- could land him in jail for the crime of "Deadly Conduct."
Steve made the jump last Friday ... a very risky proposition given the water below is only 4' deep.
Cops threatened to cite him but didn't ... however, law enforcement sources now tell us the "Jackass" star is under criminal investigation.
So, you ask, what is the crime of "Deadly Conduct." Under Texas law, someone who engages in reckless conduct that could place someone else in danger of great bodily injury, then it's considered deadly conduct ... a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.
We're told Steve-O may also be cited for swimming in the San Antonio River -- which is prohibited.
Steve-O insists police should be THANKING him for doing a high-flying backflip off a San Antonio bridge this weekend -- into four feet of water -- telling TMZ, thanks to him, the entire city now knows ... that bridge should really have "no diving" signs on it.
San Antonio police are currently investigating the incident -- a rep for the SAPD tells us, they're trying to determine how Steve-O should be punished ... because backflipping off that bridge isn't just illegal, it's extremely dangerous.
But Steve-O says that's BS -- telling us, it's dangerous because the city never posted signs on the bridge, warning people that the water below is only 4 feet deep.
He adds, "They've given no indication that people shouldn't jump, and done nothing to warn anyone about the serious dangers of that shallow water. Very irresponsible, indeed."
Steve-O says his video -- shot for his new YouTube channel -- has raised awareness about the dangers of San Antonio bridge jumping ... and he should be rewarded.
7:30 AM PT -- Steve-O just told us he couldn't agree more ... his stupid stunt SHOULD be illegal ... but that doesn't mean he's taking any responsibility for it. "This 'seizure prank' wasn't my idea or my operation, and I agree it was a real stinker," he said, adding the stunt provided an "invaluable service by exposing a glaring shortcoming in the laws."
The L.A. City Fire Dept. is LIVID at former "Jackass" star Steve-O ... for a stupid prank Tuesday that triggered a 911 emergency ... but in reality there's nothing that can be done to him.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Steve-O and three of his cohorts FAKED simultaneous seizures at a West Hollywood coffee shop ... and the 911 call prompted cops and paramedics to rush to the scene.
TMZ obtained video of the prank ... showing Steve-O and the others seemingly going into spasms and frothing at the mouth -- while horrified customers frantically call 911.
Here's the thing. Since Steve-O and his friends were not the ones who called 911, they can't be prosecuted for making a false report to authorities ... and the people who made the call did so in good faith.
Capt. Jamie Moore tells TMZ he's contacting Steve-O, his lawyer and his publicist to let them know the prank was not only dumb ... it threatened lives. The ambulance or fire truck could have gotten in an accident, and someone who didn't get an ambulance in time could have died.
Capt. Moore tells us, "The L.A. Fire Dept. frowns on his action that impacted public safety."
SOMEONE DRUGGED JOHNNY KNOXVILLE AT A FRAT HOUSE ... so says Johnny Knoxville, but he ain't exactly complaining about it.
Knoxville says someone slipped an ecstacy pill into his beer during a recent promo shoot for his new movie "Bad Grandpa" ... and during his drug-induced haze, he injured his hand.
Now, knowing Johnny ... it's totally possible he's telling the truth. But still, we gotta ask ...
It took four years .... but "Jackass" star Chris Pontius -- aka Party Boy -- is finally free to throw on his g-string and grind on whoever he wants (guilt-free) 'cause a judge just finalized his divorce, TMZ has learned.
We broke the story ... Chris was hit with divorce papers in 2011, two years after he had separated from his wife Claire Nolan. The two had married back in 2004.
Math Fact -- they had been separated almost as long as they had been married.
As far as assets go, the couple had two homes -- one in the Hollywood Hills (he got that) and one in Ireland (she got that) ... this, according to the judgment, filed in L.A. County Superior Court and obtained by TMZ.
As far as the other stuff goes ...
Chris got ... his 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser, his royalties from "Jackass" and "Wildboyz," everything in their American investment accounts, and an unknown amount of credit card debt.
Claire got ... a vintage 1965 International Scout (see below), her engagement ring, a check from Chris for $200,000 dollars and whatever's left in their Irish bank account.
We reached out to Pontius for comment -- so far, no word back.
Bam Margera was arrested in Iceland yesterday ... over a rental car he DESTROYED last year and never paid for, this according to the "Jackass" star himself.
It's a pretty bizarre story ... basically, Bam allegedly rented a Toyota Landcruiser from Hertz when he visited the country back in 2012. According to officials, Bam returned the car in TERRIBLE shape 5 days after the rental period was over -- but never paid for the damage, fees and other costs associated with the ride. Then, he left the country ...
So, when Margera returned to Iceland yesterday ... he was arrested upon arrival at the Keflavik Airport.
Bam eventually remedied the situation (after cutting a huge check) -- and was released from custody.
But the best part of the saga was the incredible, probably-drunken post-arrest interview he gave to a Icelandic newssite Visir.is ... in which he ADMITS to trashing the hell out of the car.
"I kicked the door in because I was pissed one night ... and then there was a scratch over there that they had to replace the whole panel for," Bam said.
There's more -- "The back got hit, and then there was … I've been painting like with oil paints so oil paints get everywhere so there was like blue paint all over the inside of the car."
So what's the lesson here? DON'T LET BAM BORROW YOUR CAR!!!
