Jerry Rice Supports Jimmy G After Awful Game ... 'Go Miners'

Jimmy Garoppolo sucked on the field Monday night ... but Jerry Rice is giving the NFL star his unwavering support ... going to Twitter to defend the QB with a hilarious fail as bad as Jimmy's performance.

The 49ers signal-caller went 1 for 6 with 0 yards and an INT in his first game back since suffering a season-ending ACL injury in Week 3 last season ... resulting in an incredibly bad 0.0 QB rating.

But, don't freak out, fans ... the G.O.A.T. is here to make everything better!!!

"Relax everyone jimmy G . will be fine this year!!! Go miners" the G.O.A.T. tweeted.

Yes. Miners.

Hey, we all know Rice meant well after the team's $137 million man stunk it up, but the fumble on the vote of confidence is hilariously ironic.

As sure as Jimmy G will get to see another game, Rice got another shot at the tweet (which was deleted) ... and got it right the 2nd time around.

"Relax everyone Jimmy G will be fine this year. It takes a while coming off ACL injury!!!! @goatfuel #Neverstop #Neverquit #begreat"

Colin Kaepernick 'Still Ready' For NFL ... Posts Workout Video

READY FOR WORK

Colin Kaepernick is still busting his ass to get back in the NFL ... the ex-49ers superstar just posted a workout video -- and it's INTENSE.

The video shows Kap getting after it in the weight room -- there's push-ups, bench presses, rows, tricep pull-downs and dips ... the guy is CLEARLY still in fantastic shape.

And, with the NFL season starting ... it's obvious Kaepernick wants people to know that despite a settlement in his collusion case with the NFL -- he's still working to make a roster.

In fact, the video starts with the number 889 -- the amount of days Kaepernick says he has been "denied" a job in the league.

Of course, the 31-year-old last played in the NFL in 2016 when he was San Francisco's quarterback ... but he claims controversial kneeling protests during the national anthem forced him to be blackballed from the league.

By the way, Houston Texans backup quarterback AJ McCarron suffered a thumb injury this week and the team is reportedly looking to sign a quarterback for camp ASAP.

Clearly, Kap is hoping to get the call.

John Lynch Moment Of Silence For Gilroy Victims ... At 49ers Practice

HONORING THE VICTIMS
San Francisco 49ers

John Lynch asked everyone in attendance at the San Francisco 49ers' practice Monday to participate in a 30-second moment of silence to honor victims of the shooting in Gilroy over the weekend.

Three people were killed and 12 others were injured when a man opened fire at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California late Sunday afternoon.

Lynch -- who's the Niners' general manager -- wanted to honor everyone affected by the tragedy ... so he called for 30 seconds of prayer before SF's training camp workout.

"Our community was affected by a horrific tragedy last night down in Gilroy," Lynch said ... "and our players, our team, our organization thought it would be appropriate to start practice with a moment of silence."

Lynch added, "Let's give it 30 seconds to think about the people affected by Gilroy in this community."

As we previously reported ... people began running from the Gilroy festival -- which is just 40 miles from the Niners' stadium -- after gun shots rang out during one of the concerts.

An eye witness, Tommy Huxley, tells TMZ the whole thing was scary as hell ... saying chaos and firework-like sounds filled the festival grounds for minutes.

Law enforcement says the shooter used an AK-47-style rifle ... while witnesses claim he was wearing fatigues and shooting at random.

The father of the 6-year-old who was shot and killed in the gunfire was wearing seen wearing a Jimmy Garoppolo jersey at the hospital shortly after the tragedy.

Joe Montana $30 Million Mansion For Sale ... 500 California Acres!!!

Here's a look at how Joe Montana lives ... and if ya got $30 MILLION lyin' around -- you can live like one of the best quarterbacks EVER too!!!

The San Francisco 49ers legend's EPIC 500-acre palace in Calistoga, California is up for sale ... and the place is ridiculously awesome.

The main house is a 9,700-square-foot mansion that features 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and an insane wine cellar that can hold 3,500 bottles of booze.

Outside the main place -- there's a horse-riding area, a basketball court and a bunch of olive trees that produce anywhere from 30-60 GALLONS of olive oil every year!!

There's also a swimming pool, a skeet-shooting range, a pond (that you can fish in) and two creeks to canoe in.

Oh, and if that ain't enough ... the pad is surrounded by unreal Sonoma County views of mountains and trees.

Unclear why Montana is trying to unload the place ... but it can be all yours if you've got $28.9 MILLION to burn!!!!

Remember, Montana played BEFORE players started signing 9-figure contracts -- in fact, back in 1990, Joe was the very first NFL player to average more than $3 million per season when he signed a 4-year, $13 mil contract with the 49ers.

At the time, Montana's salary made up about 15% of the 49ers' $27 million payroll.

Boy, have times changed ...

49ers Safety Dropping 'Officer Kaepernick' Rap ... 'No Fear' of Backlash

RAP FOR KAP
TMZSports.com

A San Francisco 49ers player is releasing a new rap song in support of Colin Kaepernick ... and says he has "no fear" of any possible negative repercussions.

The player is Antone Exum -- a 6th year NFL safety who writes and produces rap music when he's not playing in the league.

Exum says the song he's most excited about releasing is titled, "Officer Kaepernick" -- which addresses police brutality and "injustices in the police force."

As Exum puts it, "I feel like if [Kaepernick's] whole movement had a score, it would be this song."

The 28-year-old says he understands there are "good cops that we have" -- and appreciates them -- but says it's important to call out the bad cops who operate out of a place of fear and hate.

When asked about a possible backlash from NFL owners, teammates and fans -- Exum told us he is drawing strength from the former 49ers quarterback ... who he considers an inspiration.

"Kaepernick didn't have any fear when he first took a knee," Exum said ... "I think I'll be okay no matter what happens."

Exum says he plans on releasing the track any day now -- so stay tuned.

Pete Buttigieg Defends Colin Kaepernick ... And NFL Kneelers

"RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH"
TMZSports.com

Mayor Pete Buttigieg is going to bat for Colin Kaepernick ... telling TMZ Sports he supports the QB's right to take a knee during the national anthem -- and he's ripping Trump for going after the protesters.

"The way I feel about it is the flag that was on my shoulder when I served represented, among other things, our right to free speech," Mayor Pete -- a Navy veteran -- told us in New York.

YOU'RE FIRED!
FOX News

"You don't have to like it, but one of the reasons we serve was to defend that right, the right of peaceful protest and the idea that we can protest what is wrong with our country."

That's when Pete took a swipe at POTUS -- who has publicly called for the NFL to fire any "son of a bitch" who doesn't stand for the anthem.

"If the president had served," Pete says ... "Maybe he'd feel a little more strongly about some of those freedoms. And, I get that there's a lot of strong opinions about this, but that's part of why we served."

Colin began his demonstration in 2016 to shine a light on social injustice and police brutality. Several players joined his movement, which began a very polarizing political topic.

In 2017, Mayor Pete tweeted about the situation ... "I was trained to stand & salute. But freedom -- including to protest injustice -- is the whole point of the anthem, the flag, and the country."

Nessa Confronts 'Teen Mom' Jenelle Evans ... For Trashing Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick's girlfriend, Nessa, called out 'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans TO HER FACE -- and made her cry -- over an anti-Kaepernick post Evans put on social media.

... AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Nessa was hosting the "Teen Mom 2" reunion when she decided to put Evans on the hot seat about her Nike protest ... which Jenelle started last year after Nike used Kap in an ad campaign.

In the social media post, Jenelle wrote ... "I will not be buying Nike anymore. Chris Kyle’s wife wrote a huge letter about how she feels and I couldn’t agree more. HER husband actually DID sacrifice A LOT. Nike should change their 'motto' immediately. Nike needs a new PR person pronto."

Fast forward to the reunion ... when Nessa told Jenelle straight up:

"You posted hateful comments on social media about my family, about my man Colin Kaepernick."

Evans played dumb ... saying, "I posted them? When did I post it?"

Don't worry, Nessa had the receipts and read them out loud for Jenelle, who continued to play dumb.

"I’ve never seen that ... I honestly have no idea who your boyfriend is, or husband."

Nessa fired back again ...

"He’s been on set. This is an open, healthy conversation I would like to have with you," Nessa added.

"Please understand something. My man used his platform to peacefully protest systemic oppression in this country, specifically police brutality against black people. Men, women and children dying, wrongfully dying, and people who are doing this are not being held accountable."

"That is the issue. It has nothing to do with military men, military women, okay? Because they fought for our constitution to peacefully protest. I would have appreciated if you had contacted me. I would have been more than happy to have a healthy conversation."

Back to Jenelle ... who started to cry and stormed off the set.

"I don’t know anything about your husband, I swear to God."

"I’m done with this bullsh*t. This is exactly why I didn’t f*king want to come here. This is about my storyline and you want to bring up your issues. You want to bring up ‘Teen Mom’ to bring up your issues?! I’m not doing doing this, you got your show.”

Richard Sherman On Nick Bosa Tweets Won't Matter If You Can Play

"One thing about football is that nobody really cares what you say if you can play."

That's how Richard Sherman views the situation regarding his new 49ers teammate, Nick Bosa -- who's been at the center of controversy over tweets about Donald Trump and Colin Kaepernick.

Remember, back when he was a college student at Ohio State, Bosa referred to Kap as a "clown" -- which is interesting considering Sherman has been a strong supporter of Colin ever since the QB first began taking a knee during the national anthem.

The #2 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft also acknowledged scrubbing his social media pages of pro-Trump comments out of fear liberal fans in San Francisco wouldn't embrace him when he was drafted.

Sherman was asked about the situation by the Sacramento Bee -- and essentially said Bosa's views and previous comments won't matter if the guy produces on the field on Sundays.

“It’s not like something where guys are like, ‘Hey man, what about what you said?’ No. No. If he can play, he can play. If he can’t play, he won’t be here," Sherman said.

"But at the end of the day, that’s all that matters in football. Is he getting sacks on Sunday? Is he helping our team? Is he being a good teammate? Those are things that matter."

"Now, if he’s a bad teammate, that’s something we’ll address."

The star cornerback also weighed in on possible racial issues in the locker room stemming from Bosa's tweets and comments.

"At the end of the day, I think a guy that has played with African Americans his whole life, not saying he can’t be racist, but they know how to maneuver around African Americans," Sherman said.

"When you’re at Ohio State, it’s not like Ohio State’s an all-white school. So I don’t think that’s going to ever be an issue. I think, at the end of the day, your beliefs are your beliefs ... but when you’re in the building and you’re a football player and you’re a teammate, you handle yourself accordingly. And I think he understands that."

Donald Trump Dog Whistles to Base ... Over Nick Bosa

Donald Trump tried firing up his base again, this time using the newly-minted San Francisco 49ers top draft pick, Nick Bosa.

Trump tweeted, "Congratulations to Nick Bosa on being picked number two in the NFL Draft. You will be a great player for years to come, maybe one of the best. Big Talent! San Francisco will embrace you but most importantly, always stay true to yourself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

It doesn't take a James Holzhauer to figure out ... Trump's reference to staying "true to yourself," followed by MAGA, is a not-so-veiled reference to various remarks Bosa made on social media ... remarks that have been scrubbed.

As you know, Bosa called Colin Kaepernick a "clown" in August 2016, and not too long after, Trump blasted the then-San Francisco 49ers' QB and urging team owners to fire the "sons of bitches" who dared to kneel.

And, there's another comment one of Nick's friends made ... "I'm going to post using the N-word." Nick "liked" the comment. He also expressed disdain for "Black Panther" and Beyonce's music.

SILENCE BEFORE THE STORM
TMZSports.com

Nick has now apologized, saying, "I definitely made some insensitive decisions throughout my life ... I'm sorry if I hurt anybody. I definitely didn't intend for that to be the case."

Sounds like Trump liked the earlier version of Nick.

Nick Bosa Ain't Talking Politics ... After NFL Draft

SILENCE BEFORE THE STORM
TMZSports.com

Now that he's been drafted ... and the money's coming in ... think #2 overall pick Nick Bosa's ready to remove his virtual muzzle and talk politics again?!

Nope! Well, at least not yet ...

We spotted the 49ers newest star leaving Nashville early Friday morning and asked if he would get back to tweeting about Donald Trump and all of the other pro-Republican things he used to post about.

Remember, before the draft, 21-year-old Bosa (an outspoken conservative) told ESPN he wiped his Twitter page of all political talk out of fear there could be a backlash in liberal San Francisco.

Back in his college days at Ohio State, the star defensive end tweeted pro-Trump comments and was critical of Colin Kaepernick.

But, Bosa was stone-faced in the airport Friday morning while walking behind his famous father, John Bosa (who also played in the NFL), ... and didn't even crack when we asked if he'd be open to get a drink with former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick.

So, will Bosa get back to his old tweeting ways? Stay tuned ...

Meagan Good To Kaepernick Let's Do a Movie Together!!!

GIVE HIM A ROLE!
TMZSports.com

If Colin Kaepernick is trying to get that Hollywood money ... Meagan Good says she's ALL IN -- telling TMZ Sports, "I'll do a movie with him!!"

Of course, Kaepernick's having trouble finding work these days ... even after he settled his lawsuit with the NFL -- league owners still don't seem to want to give him a shot at playing QB.

Enter the "Shazam!" actress ... who tells us she would LOVE to see Kaepernick take up acting if he decides to officially hang up his football cleats.

"I just think Kaepernick is amazing and pray for him to continue to just have the platform that he has whatever way that he has, and if he wants to act, dude, he can do it!"

Unclear what their roles would be in a future flick ... but we know Kap has SOME level of comfortability behind the camera -- 'memba his famous Nike commercial??

Soooo, as Good says ... "Sup Kaepernick?!"

Anthony Gonzalez Nick Bosa Cut His Pro-Trump Tweets?!? ... I'm Cool With It

FOCUS ON THE GAME
TMZSports.com

Anthony Gonzalez -- an ex-Ohio State star and current Republican congressman -- says he's fine with Nick Bosa deleting his pro-Trump tweets ... saying the NFL prospect should focus on football.

Bosa made the announcement this month that he was cutting back the political rhetoric on his Twitter page -- which used to feature Trump praise as well as scorn for national anthem kneelers.

His reason? Per ESPN, "I had to. There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco."

Enter Gonzalez ... who says he's cool with the ex-Buckeyes superstar making that call, telling TMZ Sports, "When you're playing football, I think the goal should be to focus on the game."

As for how Bosa's previously loud political opinions will impact his relationship with future teammates ... Gonzalez thinks it won't be an issue at all.

"There's not a lot that could really distract individual players. That was always my experience."

By the way, Gonzalez likes Bosa's chances in the NFL Draft later this month ... saying he can definitely see the pass rusher landing at No. 1 overall!!!

NFL Draft's Nick Bosa I Cut My Pro-Trump Tweets ... 'Cause Of 49ers

Top NFL Draft prospect Nick Bosa says he's done tweeting about Donald Trump and politics because, "I had to. There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco."

The ex-Ohio State superstar -- who could be the #1 overall pick in this month's draft -- made waves over the past few years for his pro-Trump Twitter.

He "liked" controversial tweets from Tomi Lahren ... called Trump a "GOAT" and also heavily backed the President's criticism of players who kneel for the national anthem.

Bosa even famously tweeted his disdain for "Black Panther" and Beyonce's music ... and also trolled Colin Kaepernick by calling him "a clown" in a tweet.

But, those tweets are now deleted ... and future tweets with similar subject matter don't appear to be on the horizon either -- and Bosa tells ESPN it's all because of the 49ers.

San Francisco owns the #2 overall pick and has heavy interest in a pass rusher ... but it's also one of the most liberal cities in the country ... with the team famously birthing anthem-kneeling protests in 2016.

Seems Bosa feels distancing himself from politics and hot Twitter takes gives him a better chance to be picked there.

Because, what's more important than tweeting? GETTIN' THAT MONEY!!!

For their part, Niners GM John Lynch has said the team has huge interest in Bosa -- along with other top prospects Quinnen Williams, Josh Allen and Rashan Gary -- calling them all "really good players."

Colin Kaepernick 'Came Out on Top' In NFL Settlement ... Says Brandon Marshall

HE STILL LOVES IT
TMZSports.com

Colin Kaepernick's ex-teammate, Brandon Marshall, says he views CK's settlement with the NFL as a victory for the QB ... explaining, "It showed that he had some good evidence."

Remember, Brandon -- who played college football with Kap at Nevada -- was one of the first players to take a knee and join in Colin's protest to put a spotlight on police violence against minorities.

While the terms of Kap's settlement with the NFL have not been made public, there are reports he got somewhere in the neighborhood of $80 mil ... and Marshall says that makes him "extremely happy."

"The fact that [the NFL] settled showed that [Kaepernick] had some good evidence. Whatever the outcome, I feel like Kap came out on top, so I'm happy for him."

Marshall says he knows Kaepernick still wants to play in the NFL -- and hopes teams can "let bygones be bygones and let him play quarterback."

Brandon says Kap is one of the hardest working guys he's ever met -- and he's confident he can still play at a high-level for a bunch of NFL teams.

Next season starts in September. Stay tuned ...

Jerry Rice Channels 2Pac 'Hit 'Em Up' Sesh at Vegas Nightclub

GETTIN' TURNT
TMZSports.com

Two G.O.A.T.s, one video ... with Jerry Rice turnin' up to 2Pac in Vegas, and TMZ Sports has the footage!!!

The Hall of Fame wide receiver hit the dance floor at the Juniper Cocktail Lounge at Park MGM in Las Vegas over the weekend ... showing at 56 years old, dude still loves to get down!!!

Rice got behind the DJ booth while Pac's legendary diss track "Hit 'Em Up" blasted through the speakers ... dancing around and having the time of his life.

We're told Rice couldn't have been nicer with the partiers ... posing for pics and chatting for a while, before taking the rage fest to the On The Record speakeasy and club.

As you probably know, Rice LOVES to party -- he's a big hit in Lake Tahoe -- but the only difference here is he actually kept his shirt on this time around (classic video, BTW!!!).

Nice to see the dude is keeping his "Dancing with the Stars" skills from getting rusty!!!

Antonio Brown Hey, NFL Teams ... 'Got Guaranteed Money? Call Me!!!'

MONEY MOVES

8:10 AM PT -- Brown's rant wasn't all talk ... he just met with team owner Art Rooney II and says they both agreed it's time to part ways.

"Had a great meeting with Mr.Rooney today we discussed a lot of things and we cleared the air on several issues!

"We both agreed that it is time to move on but I'll always have appreciation and gratitude towards the Rooney family and @steelers organization!"

"If your team got guaranteed money ... tell 'em call me" -- Antonio Brown (from his elliptical machine Monday night).

"I ain't got time to waste," AB added ... "I got FIVE KIDS. Ya heard!?"

It was all part of a 9 MINUTE rant on Instagram, which featured Brown working out like a maniac, sweating his face off ... and trying to convince NFL teams to sign his ass.

"This is not a game people. This is not for show. This is not to be cool. This is really to inspire you that no one can determine your destination but you."

"I'm bringing high heat, coach! I'm gonna be relentless this year. If your team got guaranteed money, they wanna get to know me and work with me? Tell 'em call me!"

By the way ... Brown is already in the middle of a huge, 4-year, $68 million contract with $19 million guaranteed. Unclear exactly what he's looking for in a new deal.

As we previously reported, Brown has been talking with Jerry Rice and REALLY wants to end up in San Francisco next season.

But, as NFL.com pointed out ... since Brown is still technically under contract with the Steelers, any team that contacts him directly right now would be "tampering."

Brown doesn't seem to care about that -- he wants a new deal. And, a new nickname, saying he's over being called "A.B." and wants to switch to something sassier... "Mr. Big Chest."

Good luck with that!
