The "Bachelor in Paradise" finale was a fireworks show, and guess what -- we were right about ABC's next leading man -- plus the franchise aired the first same-sex engagement!!!

Hunky pilot Peter Weber -- who repeatedly scored with Hannah Brown in that windmill during last season's 'Bachelorette,' but ultimately got sent home -- is officially the next Bachelor ... so it was revealed on the 'BiP' finale.

Of course, we figured out what was up last week at LAX, when a film crew followed Peter around as he made his way through a terminal in his pilot gear. We asked him at the time if it was true ... but he just blushed his way up the escalator.

There were other headlines that came out after Tuesday's show -- notably, Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty becoming one of 3 couples to pop the question ... making them the first same-sex couple to get engaged in the franchise's history.

Demi got on bended knee for Kristian, asking her hand in marriage on the beach. Kristian then returned the favor in front of a studio audience (pretaped, obviously prior to Tuesday's show). It was a sweet moment.

And now .... some backlash. Many fans criticized the show for NOT choosing Mike Johnson to be the next Bachelor -- he would've been the first black guy with that title. Of course, Rachel Lindsay made history a couple years back as the first black Bachelorette.

Peter Weber is pretty clearly the next Bachelor ... and you can thank our photog, Charlie, for the scoop.

Charlie spotted Peter Thursday at LAX ... actually, it wasn't that hard, since ol' Peter had a camera crew in tow. Charlie jumped to a conclusion which seems rock solid.

There's a hilarious moment when Peter realizes TMZ is shooting its shot, and he's totally flummoxed.

The smart bet's always been on Peter handing out roses for the upcoming season. Mike Johnson was also a front-runner with Tyler Cameron in a distant 3rd.

Tyler can't be too upset, with the likes of Gigi Hadid as a consolation prize.

Delta pilot Peter is almost certainly the man ... best known to Bachelor Nation as the guy who banged 'Bachelorette' Hannah B not once ... NOT twice ... not THREE ... but a whopping FOUR TIMES in a windmill during a fantasy suite date near the end of Hannah's season.

It's never official until it's official. You'll recall what happened to Caila Quinn ... who also was being filmed in 2016 to be "The Bachelorette" but ultimately producers picked JoJo Fletcher. Still, the tea leaves aren't hard to read in this one.

Fun fact ... Peter's parents met when his dad was a pilot and his mom was a flight attendant.

Tyler Cameron will keep this brief ... he's not sweating whether or not he's the next 'Bachelor' because he's busy doing what real models do -- modeling underwear.

Tyler C's rocking boxer briefs for Mack Weldon and his campaign just launched. The pics are sizzling hot, with Tyler showing off his toned bod and rock-hard abs in a pair of black briefs!!!

Our sources tell us the pics were shot just BEFORE he started shooting this past season of "The Bachelorette" ... and that timeline is super interesting.

As we first reported ... Tyler C is the third choice to become the next 'Bachelor' -- despite becoming a fan favorite as a finalist with Hannah B. We've been told part of the reason he's not a front-runner is his preference for modeling and other interests.

Clearly, Tyler had modeling on the brain before 'Bach' nation fell hard for him ... so it makes sense for him to be a distant third behind top contenders, Mike Johnson and Peter Weber. One well-placed source told us sincerity is very important in choosing the show's leading man.

While Tyler probably won't be the next 'Bachelor' ... he won't starve. Something tells us the underwear world will be lining up for his services.

'Bachelor' creator Mike Fleiss THOUGHT he settled his divorce case with wife Laura Kaeppeler, but turns out it's still raging, because Mike paid her $10 mil, she took the kid out of state and she's not communicating with him.

TMZ broke the story ... Mike and Laura settled their divorce case late last month ... he agreed to pay her $10 million, they agreed to 50/50 joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son, Ben, and she agreed to drop her domestic violence restraining request against him.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Mike paid her the cash, and on August 4 she left for Hawaii and went radio silent. He has tried to communicate with her, to no avail. He has not been able to see or speak with Ben since she left.

According to the agreement, Laura is allowed to live in Hawaii, but she has certain obligations. She's supposed to meet with renowned psychologist Stan Katz to figure out effective co-parenting, but according to the legal docs she has not set up an appointment to meet with him.

Fleiss planned to fly to Hawaii August 13, which is when he's entitled to get Ben for custodial time, but he's now in the dark because she won't communicate with him.

Fleiss' lawyer, disso queen Laura Wasser, has filed papers to get some action from the judge, but the hearing was set for late September. We're told they're hopeful they can work things out with Kaeppeler -- especially a co-parenting plan -- but it seems that may not happen easily.

Sources close to Kaeppeler say Fleiss went to court for an emergency order Monday but the judge denied it because it was not an emergency ... in part because the child lives in Hawaii. The sources say they're already working with Stan Katz.

Zayn Malik's ex, Gigi Hadid, appears to have moved on from their relationship -- now, it looks like her former beau has too ... 'cause he's moving on out of the neighborhood.

The One Direction star listed his SoHo penthouse -- which is a stone's throw away from Gigi's NoHo apartment -- just over a year after purchasing it for north of $10 million. Zayn snapped it up in March of 2018 shortly after he and Gigi temporarily broke up ... now, he's put it on the market again a few months following what seems like a permanent split.

The on-again, off-again couple reportedly called it quits for good in January of this year.

Zayn bought the place above its listing price of $10.5 mil, shelling out $10.69 big ones. He's currently selling it for $10.8 million -- trying to recoup some of that cash, apparently.

If you got $10 million or so lying around, it might be a good buy. The penthouse has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 932 square feet of a private roof terrace space. It also features heated floors, 12 foot vaulted ceilings and sprawling floor plan.

'Bachelorette' fave Tyler C appears to be a leap frog in the love department -- bouncing from coast to coast to hang with Hannah B, and then Gigi Hadid 2 days later. Atta boy?

This season's heartthrob hunk -- the de facto winner since Hannah dumped Jed in last week's finale -- was spotted out Sunday night in NYC with the elder Hadid sister for what eyewitnesses described as a date.

They were both inside the Dumbo House bar in Brooklyn, and while they each exited separately ... we're told they got into the same waiting SUV.

A photo was taken of them inside the restaurant. No clear signs of PDA or anything, but the fact they're even hanging out is interesting ... for a number of reasons.

First off, Gigi and Tyler made headlines last month while the show was in full swing because they'd followed each other on social media. In case you didn't know, Tyler's a professional model -- and, of course, so is Gigi. Maybe they're just colleagues swapping runway tips?

You'll recall ... Tyler was spotted leaving Hannah's place in L.A. early Friday morning. After Monday's season finale, they picked things up again with another date, so Tyler and Hannah aren't engaged or anything. Presumably, they're dating ... or just banging.

The real question ... is it a big deal if Tyler's seeing other people? The show ended on an ambiguous note regarding HB and TC's relationship status.

'Bachelorette' fans rooting for a romantic rekindling between Hannah and Tyler Cameron can officially start freaking out -- 'cause it looks like they spent the night together.

We got these shots of Hannah's runner-up Friday, shortly after 10 AM ... doing what some would call the walk of shame from her L.A. crib. Clearly, Tyler C. is settling into the second fiddle role just fine as he left her place with backpack in hand. They reportedly went out on a date Thursday night, and we're guessing it went very well.

It's possible he just swung by her place bright and early to show her something funny on his phone. Either way ... Hannah's coy smile screams she was damn happy to see him.

For those outside 'Bach' nation -- during this week's finale, fans saw Hannah pick Jed for her final rose ceremony and they got engaged. However, she called it off weeks later when she learned Jed had a girlfriend before coming on the show.

Hannah ended up running back to Tyler and they reconnected, live on the finale. She asked if he'd be down to grab a drink and hang out. He said yes, and apparently things are heating up.

However, Tyler notably did NOT hook up with Hannah in the fantasy suite -- because he said he respected her too much -- which made fans love him even more.

Another fun fact -- Tyler's one of a few contestants on Hannah's season rumored to be in the running to be the next 'Bachelor.' Obviously, dating Hannah would throw a major wrench in those works.

'Bachelor' alum Jade Roper Tolbert delivered her child in the strangest of places ... her bedroom closet!!!

Jade, who is married to fellow 'Bachelor' alum Tanner Tolbert, says she suddenly went into labor Monday night at her home ... but she couldn't make it out of the house, let alone to a hospital, so she gave birth in the closet in her master bedroom!!!

As you can see ... Jade is surrounded by medics and firefighters, holding her newborn son as she sits in her closet, surrounded by shoes, clothes and drawers. A wild scene, for sure.

Jade says it was one of the scariest moments of her life ... and she's still trying to process what the hell happened.

The good news ... Jade and Tanner's baby boy is healthy ... and he was 7 lbs., 9 oz and 20 inches long at birth.

Jade and Tanner met on the second season of "Bachelor in Paradise" ... and they have another child together, one-year-old Emmy. But, she was NOT born in a closet.

TMZ has the police video from 'Bachelorette' contestant Tyler Cameron's Florida car crash ... and dude's putting the "body" in body cam footage!!!

It all went down back in May, when 26-year-old Tyler rear-ended a 2014 Ford Pickup while driving his giant 2005 Excursion in Jupiter, Florida.

The crash caused a chain reaction with the Ford smashing into a 3rd car, which was being driven by a pregnant woman.

Cops responded to the scene ... and, as you can see in the footage, they were greeted by a bloodied and beautiful Tyler C. who was walking around the area with his shirt wide open.

Unclear why Tyler decided to pop his top ... but we're not complaining.

Don't worry, nobody was seriously injured -- including the pregnant woman. Tyler did have a small cut on his forehead, but he'll be fine. In fact, the scar might even up the sex appeal!!!

Tyler's mother also raced to the scene to check on her son. You can see her consoling the reality star as his sweaty, chiseled abs glisten in the sun.

As for the crash, Tyler says traffic stopped unexpectedly and even though he slammed on his brakes, his car is so big he couldn't keep the Excursion from hitting the car in front of him.

Tyler was cited for careless driving. He's due in court next month.

BTW ... Tyler is one of the 3 finalists on "The Bachelorette" and will make his final pitch to Hannah Brown on the 2-part finale, which airs next week.

He's definitely become a fan favorite on the show -- and he's become so popular, Gigi Hadid decided to follow him on Instagram.

'Bachelorette' reject Luke P. feels used by the show and Hannah B., because we're told viewers did NOT hear a conversation that ultimately sent Luke reeling ... which led to him calling her out and allegedly slut shaming her.

Luke was dumbfounded after Hannah B. told him she had sex with another guy in the Fantasy Suite. He squarely showed disapproval, implying she wasn't the right kind of woman for him.

Folks in Luke's world tell TMZ ... he was reacting to a conversation he had with Hannah B. at a bible study during the Hometown episode, where she suggested to him she wasn't open to having sex in the fantasy suites. We're told her comment was on Luke's mind when she blurted out she indeed had sex, and that's why he reacted the way he did on camera.

We're told Luke is upset producers did not air the full bible study convo, which would have put his comments on Monday night's show in context. He comes off as a heel.

Our Luke sources say he's had hell to pay in the last 16 hours ... he and his family are getting skewered on social media and his Christian faith is being weaponized against him.

Luke, meanwhile, has already filmed the 'Tell-All' episode, and we're told it didn't go well ... with Hannah and the other guys ganging up on him. That said, our sources say he's been met with love and support from his local community ... and he's moving on.

Colton Underwood thinks Kelly Ripa is too far removed from modern-day dating to understand "The Bachelor" ... and her criticism proves just how out of touch she really is.

We got this year's Bachelor couple, Colton and Cassie Randolph, Thursday at LAX and got their response to Kelly's comments from earlier this week, when she ripped the show as creepy and insisted the idea of dozens of women fighting over one guy is disgusting.

As 2 people with a unique perspective, Colton and Cassie tell us Kelly's critique is way off ... and they feel she just doesn't understand how dating works for younger generations growing up with Tinder and other dating apps.

Colton says the 'Bachelor' is just like Tinder, only it's on national TV ... and he thinks Kelly just doesn't know what it's like to have countless dating options.

Kelly's been married to Mark Consuelos since 1996 ... so she ain't swiping left or right.

Kelly Ripa has no idea what the hell she's talking about when it comes to "The Bachelor" and her take on it is downright rude -- at least it was to Hannah Godwin, who was a finalist just last season.

We got Hannah Wednesday night at Craig's in WeHo and got her take on what Kelly said earlier this week -- that the show is creepy and the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting for 1 "ordinary" guy is disgusting.

As one of those exceptional women, Hannah G thinks it sucks that Kelly's dissing all of Bach Nation. Yes, you can tell Hannah's a bit conflicted because she loves her some Ripa ... but ultimately, she wants Kelly to know the show worked out just fine for her.

Of course, 'Bachelor' creator Mike Fleiss and 'Bachelor' host Chris Harrison have also gone on the offensive, saying, "Easy, @KellyRipa ... #TheBachelor franchise pays your salary!"

Harrison tweeted, "Look out #BachelorNation @KellyRipa is coming after you and your 'disgusting' Monday night habit." Goes without saying ... it's gotten ugly.

Hannah B -- a front-runner to be the next 'Bachelorette' -- got a rude homecoming when her sorority denied producers a chance to shoot promos with Hannah at her alma mater.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ ... 'Bachelorette' producers reached out to the University of Alabama's Alpha Chi Omega chapter about shooting interior and exterior shots at the sorority house where Hannah Brown partied before graduating in 2017.

Quick SPOILER ALERT.

Hannah, who placed 7th on the current 'Bachelor' season with Colton Underwood -- is rumored to be the new 'Bachelorette' ... and the fact she's shooting promos is a big hint the rumors are true. However, there's been no official announcement.

Our sources say ΑΧΩ turned down Hannah due to security concerns. We're told there are hundreds of members on campus, and sorority officials felt the show could bring unwanted publicity and attention.

Hannah -- who, BTW, graduated magna cum laude -- was still able to shoot promos in other campus locations Friday ... including the Crimson Tide's Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Worth noting ... just because Hannah's shooting promos doesn't mean she's a lock to hand out roses. Remember what happened to Caila Quinn? She recorded promos, too, in 2016, but producers ultimately went with Jojo Fletcher.

We reached out to Alpha Chi Omega ... so far, no word back.

Kim Kardashian West blasted 'Bachelor' creator Mike Fleiss for claiming he's in talks to make Khloe the next 'Bachelorette' ... and shared texts showing he's full of it.

Kim went off on Twitter Saturday in response to Mike's earlier tweet that he'd been in contact with his "dear friend" Kris Jenner about Khloe being "The Bachelorette" next season ... by calling it "Fake f***ing news big time!!!!"

Fleiss replied saying Kim wouldn't know ... so she fired back with a screenshot of a text between her mom and her sister denying his claims.

Khloe also went after Mike with a little extra animosity and a threat, tweeting ... "I’m not f***ing clickbait right now. Stop or you will be hearing from my lawyers. How insensitive!!"

Fleiss responded by saying he's just trying to help people find true love.

As you know, Khloe is single after splitting with Tristan Thompson because he allegedly cheated on her again ... this time with Kylie's BFF Jordyn Woods.

'Bachelor' stars and soon-to-be husband and wife Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham appear to be real hands-on for their wedding ... as in, not letting anyone else put their hands on her dress.

The couple were spotted a few days ago at the Kahului Airport in Hawaii with their luggage, including a white wedding dress bag. It's clear there are some items just too important to let out of their sight.

Arie and Lauren are set to get married Saturday at Haiku Mill in Maui, nearly a year after he proposed to her on the 'After the Final Rose' episode. Of course, this came after he proposed to Becca on the season finale ... but changed his mind and begged for Lauren back.

The 2 are also expecting their first child together -- a girl -- so they have more than just their nuptials to celebrate.

As if the new 'Bachelor' didn't already know he was a virgin, his suitors (and the show at large) constantly reminded him during the season premiere ... and it got old fast.

Colton Underwood's journey got started Monday night, and as he was meeting the lovely ladies who'll be vying for his heart ...and apparently his crotch. His virginity was on the minds in the mouths of almost every girl. It was awkwardly charming at first, but quickly became a tired gag.

Even worse ... the virgin gimmicks quickly escalated from a chat to full-blown costumes just to land the joke. One girl popped a "cherry" balloon in front of Colton, another teased him with a real peach, and yet another took away his "V" card in a corny magic trick.

But, Alex D. of Boston took the cake (and the award for worst contestant thus far) by creeping out of the limo in a human-size sloth suit and lurching over to him in slow-mo ... staying committed to the whole sloth thing the entire way through.

It was cringeworthy to say the least. Fact is ... Colton's more than just his virginity -- here's hoping the producers of the show realized that before it's too late.
