Inside The Ring

Former "Try Guys" star Ned Fulmer says he’s done hiding — opening up on TMZ’s "Inside The Ring" Podcast about the backlash he’s faced since relaunching himself into the spotlight and making his shocking AEW debut as “Nasty Ned.”

Fulmer says he understands why the pilot episode of his new podcast, "Rock Bottom with Ned Fulmer," made some fans uncomfortable — especially since it featured his wife, Ariel, marking their first joint appearance since his cheating scandal. “It’s not a pleasant subject matter,” he admitted. “But one reason why I wanted to do the show was to not shy away from those conversations.”

Ned said while some viral clips looked “cringeworthy,” he and Ariel were proud of the full hour, calling it part of “three years of growth.” Still, the internet wasn’t exactly forgiving — the episode drew immediate backlash from critics who accused the couple of trying to rewrite history, with Ned once again becoming a trending topic.

Ned Fulmer -- the cofounder of "The Try Guys" who was ousted from the YouTube group after a 2022 cheating scandal -- has separated from his wife, Ariel, after 15 years together ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the former couple tell us they are no longer together romantically. We're told they will have an open discussion about where they stand in their relationship on his newly announced podcast, "Rock Bottom," on Wednesday.

The shocking news of their separation comes as TMZ has obtained a new photo of Ned hanging out with a mystery woman at the Zebulon music venue in Los Angeles on Sept. 7.

According to a witness, NF was chatting with this woman -- who is not his wife -- for "a really long time" ... though, there was no noticeable PDA. The eyewitness said it seemed as though Fulmer was at the L.A. venue specifically with the woman in question.

'Try Guys' Moving On As Trio After Dropping Ned Fulmer

Published | Updated

The "Try Guys" are pushing forward as a party of 3 after firing Ned Fulmer for having an affair with one of their producers ... who we've learned isn't suffering the same fate as Ned.

Sources close tell TMZ ... Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang are rock solid on continuing their productions without Ned. We're told they're trying to get back to business as usual after the news broke last week, and Monday's candid explanation from all 3 guys was a big step in that process.

There's a possibility Ned could be replaced in the future, but no decision has been made yet, and, if he is it won't be in 2022.

Our sources also specify why Ned got canned, noting it wasn't because he cheated on his wife -- but, because he, as an owner of the company, hooked up with an employee he directly supervises.

As we reported, Ned got booted last week after admitting he had an ongoing relationship with Alex Herring, a 'TG' producer. BTW, Alex is not getting fired -- we're told the guys understand she wasn't in the position of power, like Ned was, and they feel they need to protect their employee.

It's unclear, though, if she will choose to stay.

Keith, Zach, and Eugene posted an explanation video Monday ... breaking down the incident as it was revealed to them. Keith added the team was just as shocked as everyone else when they learned about Ned's affair.

The "Try Guys" are breaking down their decision to remove Ned Fulmer from the team ... after he admitted cheating on his wife with one of the group's producers.

Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang uploaded an explanation video Monday, simply titling it "what happened." The trio says they reached out to Ned and the producer after they were seen kissing in public.

The guys don't use the producer's name here, but Ned's confirmed it was Alex Herring ... and even admitted their relationship had been going on for some time.

Keith says the team had no idea this was going on behind the scenes -- adding they were just as shocked as everyone else when they learned the news.

The crew quickly started working with a slew of lawyers and HR sources to make sure every step of the process was handled. Eugene puts it plainly -- they weren't going to sweep this incident under the rug.

Ned's since been edited out of recent videos and merch -- they even had to scrap some videos that were unsalvagable, likely due to it heavily featuring Ned. However, they are moving forward with a new season of their Food Network show 'No Recipe Road Trip' ... and say they've done some heavy editing to remove Ned.

It's unclear what Alex's status is with the company following the scandal.

As we reported, Ned and his wife Ariel seem to be hashing things out after his termination ... they were spotted picking up their kids together last week -- both still wearing their wedding rings.

The way Ariel put it is ... they're "working on working things out."
