His mother is a talent manager for actors and writers. He has a twin sister, Marissa Ribisi, and another sister Gina. Marissa is also an actor.His mother helped to launch his acting career, which began with an appearance on two episodes of the TV show Highway to Heaven. This followed with numerous roles on television. In 1996, he gained the role of Phoebe's half-brother on the high profile Friends, which boosted his career.
