I read some of the nasty blogs and comments about celebrities and it never fails to amaze me the hateful and disgusting comments people make. I just want everyone to know that most of the U.S. is not this angry and unbalanced. It's just a small fraction of people here who are most likely high on drugs when they write this stuff. I don't know how else to explain it because happy and sane people do not think, feel, talk or write the way many of these insane extremists do on this and many other tabloid sites.

These tabloid sites are a breeding ground for extremism because it give these kind of people an outlet to project their own self-hatred, paranoia and lack of self respect toward innocent celebs. Tabloid sites are a meeting place for like-minded mentally unbalanced people who have nothing better to do than tear into celebrities they don't know. It's very sad that anyone out there is like this. Just realize most of us are not so please don't judge us by the angry vocal minority. Most Americans are nothing like them and we are all amazed that anyone is.

Good post. I'm not from America and I have been wondering about the comments as well. It didn't paint me a very pretty picture of Americans. Most times I was turned off on reading them due to being totally disgusted at some peoples mentality. I read these ones because I was bored and I was DELIGHTED to read your post and see that someone in your country has a brain and morals.

7. In COMPLETE agreement with #4. I'm not immune to voicing my opinion on issues and celebrities, but I do try to keep the nastiness out of it. I think it's been particularly bad these past couple of months with the election going on and ignorant, abusive arguments from both ends regarding that. I don't expect everything to be nicey nicey all the time with everyone wanting to buy the world a Coke...but it's pretty embarrassing to think that online trolls are shaping world opinion on an entire nation.

14. I think he's just trying to entice a sympathy vote, after dinner and peach schnapps. Works every time. Ooops, did I just let out a dating secret on TMZ? No, Shauna is too observant, she'd know if he was faking that busted leg. HEY! I thought those two were two different beans from different pods, are they back to sharing trips to the ice cream parlor again? What the heck? I come here for national news and what do I get! Confusion! However, my love for Shauna Sand is even MORE enduring than day following night (or visa versa), so I'm unshakable. I hope that guy didn't crack a knee cap from all the grovelling around on his knees asking Shauna to marry him every weekend. She's probably ticked off. You just have to deliver that little gem of a question with more pinache.
