The clip currently appears on "Access Hollywood's" website. And here's the most shocking thing -- neither she nor Maria Menounos acknowledged it.

Enough with the "First Black" president label. Enough with the first "colored" label. P.E. Obama is an American pure, plain, simple. He is biracial anyway. He is not the first president with African-American blood. Get past race already. Race does not matter. It seems that so many people are still trying to make race an issue. IT DOES NOT MATTER. IT IS MAN-MADE. WE ARE ALL ONE RACE.

Daniel Craig used the same term. Words are just words, I don't think her intent was malicious.
Words change with the times, different words in different locations.
Maybe she should have said, "Person of Color", but, what makes it all that different?

Stop the PC!!!:  1187 days ago

Ahhhh, Obama is colered...Correct?

What is the big deal? PC wants to control freedom of speech, indivdivuals thoughts and own's own ability to articulate what they feel.

This country is too sensitive and jumps on everyone's elses words rather than work on improving themselves.

Give her a break! Sure it is an old fashioned term, but she meant it with respect and it should be taken as such.

Maybe the problem is using race to define any thing, for bad or good. Morgan Freeman said, "Racism will end when people stop talking about race."

It is not about the word itself. It is about the fact that people put so much emphasis on someones race. Do we really need to be reminded that he is "colored","black", or "African-American"? Isn't that obvious? Besides, there have been other black presidents before him. They just did not look "black". So in essence people are celebrating the first "black" looking president. How silly. There is only one race anyway.

GIve me a break. Why the big deal? SO WHAT???? Technically he's Bi-Racial. Everyone seems to forget his mother was white and his grandparents, the people that raised him, were white to. Get over it! Leave Lindsay Alone!

The word colored is nothing near being the "N" word. I just find it odd that Lindsey would use it. It's for ppl over a certain age. Like 70. Plus when LiLo got in that suv and ran over someones foot she said "The black kid did it. Not sure why she chose to use the word "colored".

Maybe "African Americans" should change the "C" in NAACP then if they dont like being refered to as Colored.

We have got to come up with a new classification for the races, maybe numbers

African American doesn't work because we have to use a different term for the "blacks" who live in Africa

Colored is a dated term but I like it better than African American
