Harry's Paki-Stand -- Offensive?

61. Does anyone remember 3-11? I remember 9-11 vividly. The insult "Paki" is not quite the equivanent to the destruction those Mossulmen did to Western Civilization. Get your perspective clear. We are in a religious war whether anyone will admit it or not. Enough with the "correctness". The "Paki s, or Wahabis, or Shiites, or Sunnis hardly care if we are offended when they blow up up with planes and backpacks.

62. I have liked Harry ever since I saw how he helps out children in Africa. He seemed genuine and not like it was for publicity. He seems like a good person. Plus the fact he insisted on inlisting. Seems to me he is doing everything he can to not just sit
back on a throne like the rest of them. Get off his back!

64. This guy is serving his country, protecting you all. Perhaps he should keep offensive comments to himself..but come on. Like someone said, I'm sure the muslims NEVER make racist comments. Get over it people. I'd rather have someone like Harry out there on MY side than some pansey ass politically correct liberal who more than likely would NOT die for his country's freedom and safety.

66. what he said may have been insensitive , but it wasn't full-blown RACIST. I think this is being blown out of proportion and being sensationalozed. I heard a guy on Tv saying that this story would be getting no attention at all if it were any other soldier caught saying these things , it's only because it's the prince. Also, thier at war , thier not exactly going to have perfectly clean mouths. This isn't church.

Why should I be subject to an abbreviation of what I am?
I have never had any racists feelings whatsoever and I have PAKI friends who do not worry about having their race abbreviated. What about calleng Americans Yankies or Australians Ozzies, you don't hear complaints from them!!
If we British took the same attitude as the Muslims we would not have a BRIT award for one thing,

69. what is so offensive about the word "paki" its an abreviation of their country, are they not pround of it? so if someone calls you a brit, or a yank or shorten your countrys name thats offensive too??? some ppl need to get a sense of humour and a life and think about whats more important!!!!!!

70. This has to be one of the most idiotic debates I've seen in my life. So Harry called a friend of his a Paki, big deal. Did the person in question complain about it? How the hell can it be racist to call a person who comes from Pakistan a Paki?
What else is he supposed to call him? A Paki is short form for somebody from Pakistan. Are you telling me that it's okay to call an Australian an Aussie, a Swedish person a Swede, and a person from Finland a Finn, but all of a sudden it's racist to call somebody from Pakistan a Paki? That's where he's from for Christ's sake, how is it racist? For all of you ignorant people who have double standards and spin every comment to suit your own agenda, you can all take your heads out of your buttocks and grow up.

71. All the people here who agree that Harry is not a racist - are racists themselves and they are MOSTLY Americans or very Low class British trash who are frustrated with their lives, drinking away everyday.

Here are some facts -

- All British are not racists - it is usually the lower class, nouveau riche, and/or uneducated British people who are racists.

- Racism in UK is mostly a LOW CLASS "DISEASE" - thankfully most of these low class Brits are moving to Florida, Spain, S,A. and Australia... so good riddance. I don't know of any upper class Brit who wants to leave the UK - and they are not even bothered by the immigrants.

- LEGAL Immigrants coming to UK now are all very well qualified, well educated and mostly sophisticated people - if they face racism it is from the ignorant few who are NOT tolerated themselves in British society. Its the Asylum seekers and illegal immigrants who are the troublemakers in UK.

- As for Harry - he is not a Royal really, his real father is a low life piece of trash - and Harry's behaviour is proof of his bad GENES. Also Harry knows what his true "worth" is - he has an inferiority complex about being an illegitimate child and he is probably treated that way inside the Royal family possibly even by Charles. Only William is probably nice to Harry because he is the only real common biological link Harry has with the Royal family. I almost feel bad for Harry - he is a troubled child and quite complexed HOWEVER that is no excuse for his racist behaviour - none of us really know how Harry's life is up close - how his relationship is with the rest of the Royal family and whether or not he is even accepted? I think he is treated like an outsider and he can do nothing about it. Most times - it is the oppressed who are the biggest oppressors - so maybe Harry is very oppressed himself perhaps??

- Paki is nothing like the "N" word in USA - as many people claim. In fact Paki is much much milder than calling someone "N" - the reason for that is Pakistanis or South Asians do not have a history of Slavery in UK similar to what Blacks have with America. Just because the British colonized India/Pakistan - doesn't mean those people were British Slaves. They were simply British Subjects - like everyone in UK is still a "Subject" under the British Crown. What Blacks went through in America can hadly be compared to what Paki's have been through in UK - it was never that bad.

- White Americans are by far the MOST racist, STUPID, dumb, ignorant and arrogant people I've ever come accross in my entire life. Anti-Americanism is far worse in Europe compared to Racism towards Pakistanis or Asians. 90% of Europeans do not like Americans and call them "YANKS" - most Americans never experience the Anti-Americanism because they never leave the US - only about 15% of Americans even have a Passport and those Americans know very well how much they are hated everywhere in the world... especially in Europe.

Lastly this whole issue has been blown wayyyyy out of proportion by the Media. Britain is a very nice civilized and tolerant society unlike the US which has over a million registered racist groups covered under their stupid freedom of speech laws. One day Americans will wake up and learn how their laws backfired on them - when minorities in the US start forming anti-white racist groups, think its already happening in America. British did not start racism - nor did the Germans or any other Europeans - but its the Americans who started racism in the civilized world and still practice it at all levels in their sick society. Even a 100 years ago the British fought for civil liberties and personal freedom of their colonial subjects - whatever the reasons - but the British did a lot more good to their colonies rather than do bad.
