She has stated serveral times that she is adopted so these are not her biological parents.

Snooki was stolen from the trolls from under a bridge in Chile. So why would we be expected to recognize her adoptive parents by photos?

I agree. Surely TMZ is being sarcastic. I only know of her because I regardly read TMZ. She certainly could walk down any street in Australia and not be recognised. TMZ is just being a tease - was very disappointed it was nt any famous internationally.
