Ann Serrano Lopez was born on December 18, 1960, in Hartford, Connecticut. Both her parents are medical doctors who fled to the U.S. from Cuba. She is the former wife of comedian and actor, George Lopez. The couple met in 1990 at the Ice House, and married on September 18, 1993. They have one child, a daughter, Mayan, born in 1996. In 2005, Ann donated one of her kidneys to George after a genetic condition caused his to fail. She filed for divorce on November 23, 2010, citing "irreconcilable differences" after Lopez was rumored to be cheating on her with several prostitutes.
