Ashley Louise Jackson was born in Logan, Utah to Susan Budge, a retired health-care manager, and Blain Jackson, who works in the horse and outdoor industry. Jackson's career began in high school at the age of fifteen after signing up to cold read and act in the Jared Hess cult classic, "Napoleon Dynamite." The film was set in Ashley's high school, Preston High, and featured her hometown. The movie was produced on a $400K budget and grossed just over $46M worldwide. Ashley was in college when the movie was released and sold "Vote for Pedro" shirts to supplement her athletic student income. For the next few years, Ashley continued to take parts in plays and musicals at her college, church, and local theatre productions. In addition, Ashley is a skilled writer and is currently writing the short film "Cannabis Country."
