Nick Schuyler

Nick Schuyler (born in 1985) is a former football player at the University of South Florida and current athletic trainer. He was the sole survivor of a boating accident that killed NFL player Marquis Cooper, of the Oakland Raiders, Corey Smith, of the Detroit Lions and Will Bleakley, Schuyler's best friend. The accident took place 75 miles off the coast of Florida in February, 2009. Schuyler has said he was the only one wearing a full set of clothing at the time of the accident, which delayed the onset of hypothermia long enough for him to be rescued. The boat capsized when the anchor became lodged in the ocean floor during a storm.
