Pedro Pascal's never far from his friend Rafael Olarra, or so it seems ... because Rafa paid Pedro a visit while the actor was down in Mexico shooting a new movie.

Check out this photo from the set of "De Noche," a gay romance being filmed in the heart of Mexico City ... Pedro is in full costume and makeup and Rafael is right behind him.

Pedro's buddy here is not in the movie ... so it seems this is just one of the perks of being super close with the star.
