President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton board Air Force One on July 26, 1996 at JFK International Airport following a briefing and press conference regarding the crash of TWA Flight 800. The crash off the coast of New York resulted in the deaths of all 230 crew and passengers aboard. The subsequent investigation blamed the accident on mechanical failure, however, there was much speculation at first that it was the result of a terrorist attack.
