Danny DeVito says he and George Clooney had a long night out last night -- and by the look of things on "The View" this morning, it caught up with him.
DeVito, appearing as a guest on the show to plug his latest comedy, "Deck the Halls," told the View gals that he might not have gotten to sleep just yet ... before the 10 AM taping.
Then, cursing his seventh limoncello (a lemon liqueur) from the night before, DeVito went on an extended, Three Stooges-esque rant against President Bush, much of which was bleeped out by network censors. He also talked about making full use of the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House when he and wife Rhea Perlman stayed there.
Joy and Rosie laughed at DeVito's antics. Elisabeth seemed tolerably amused, despite the political slant. Barbara, however, was very much not so, glaring icily at the "limonized" DeVito.
DeVito's rep Stan Rosenfield tells TMZ that his client had asked for Barbara Walters' phone number today, and that he would say "what needed to be said privately" to her. Rosenfield also confirmed that DeVito and Clooney were out last night together, and that "they had a good time."

What a sad little man and show. The morning shows are not even safe to have your children "view." I saw part of this and turned it off. Seemed like cleaning my tolite bowl was more entertaining then disrespecting our President. Our nation doesn't have the courage or the class to respect our Chief and commander or the White House weather you agree with policy or not. Please have the courage to boycott Danny Devitto's movie. I would see Danny and his wife at Brown University campus and the hotel where we all stayed during the past 4 years and they were rude and very unkind little people. Let's disagree but be respectful for our children's sake.
Yikes, some of the comments on here reveal mostly the predjudice and ugliness of the Amercian public rather than anything enlightening about Danny. What a hateful bunch we are! We all need to look in the mirror.
i for the life of me cant figure out the problem. he was drunk but he is over 21? this is not a crime. was he drivi ng drunk? no he comitted no crime there. is he allowed to say what wants on tv? yes, free speech. was he funny ? oh yes.
did he lie about old draft dodging bush? no right ioo% i guess what he did was to get bush loving bush worshiping elizatwit panties in a bunch.oh my mistake she probaly isnt wearing them.this is a whole lot of bs about nothing.
danny was truthful and very funny
I thought he was great. I only watched the view a few times before Rosie came on. Now I never miss it. She breathes some life into the show. I don't always agree with all of them, but at least the show is more entertaining then before. It certainly gets people talking. Instead of getting rid of Rosie, maybe they should get rid of Barbara. She's too uptight and has the need for being politically correct all the time.
I was planning on going to see Deck The Halls this weekend but, after Mr Devito' statements and behavior he changed my plans for me. I am sick of actors thinking that the public want their opinions on anything other than acting. It.s about time they start to realize people are only interested in their acting ability and nothing more. Thanks Mr Devito for helping me make better use of my time this weekend.
OH! How dare Barbara expect a grown man to act like a grown man on national TV! It would be expected that someone his age would know better than to show up on a TV show drunk! Lack of respect. I don't like Rosie "Outing" people, it's nono of her damn business who is gay and who isn't. Does she forgot so soon how it waa when others were trying to "out" her? Who the heck does she think she is?!
What's with those women on the view? So the man was a little tipsy--way to do Divito!!! He's human. He's living life to the fullest--some of you need to try it sometime instead of trying to be so self-righteous! He should've "barfed" all over them. Boy, that would've been great!!!! That little skinny upidity one would've fainted; Barbara's face "lifts" would've came undone; Joy probably would've punched him; and Rosie--being the Irish that she is--would've rolled over with laughter--then she'd punch him. The human race--you gotta love us!!!
#47 sofia who the hell needs apoligize to bush no one bush needs to apoligize to america bush is a joke most countries in the world are laughing at him i think he is the biggest as- on earth and he comes from a long line of a--es. danny keep speaking for americans we love it
SOFIA GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE AND YOU BETTER RUN TO THE POTTY QUICK YOU PANTIES ARE IN A BIG BUNCH I HAVE A CROCHET HOOK YOU CAN BARROW IF YOU NEED HELPTO PULL THEM OUT OF THERE.
IMPEACH BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeVito was funnier in one visit than those sad hags are every day of the week. Go Danny!
An apology to this nation's president is necessary. Whether you like it or not, he is the president and if for no other reason, a certain level of respect should be accorded to the Office. This is an should be an insult to us all, liberal or conservative. As fas as Mr DeVito, to this point, he has been one of my very favorite actor/comedians--not any more. Drunk or sober, displays of this nature are unacceptable. Nothing remotely amusing about this idiot. I will individually protest this by making no future "contributions", i.e. theater tickets, DVD's, PPV's or even viewing Mr. DeVito on network or cable programs. (Forget "Deck the Halls" for my family me. We had planned to attend.) As far as the View, nothing hard about not watching this program. Shame on you Ms. Walters for allowing Danny to appear in this condition. You must have known about his condition from green room staff, if not, maybe you should become more aware of your guest ability to appear.
Why do we put any credence into what ENTERTAINERS or ATHLETES say or think? If you are going to grill Mel Gibson and Michael Richards for their remarks, I am equally offended by DeVito's lack of respect and sophomoric remarks about PRESIDENT BUSH! Freedom of speech....right. But lack of respect only make me not respect them.
Feet of clay...we all have feet of clay...
What a shame that these "star" personalities continue to be allowed to act out in public. Then their antics are reported as news, shown over and over. This should be cut from any show or broadcast the minute someone starts to speak/act out. This is not amusing and is shameful to our values.
FU Willow!!! My son has been to Iraq twice , he knows why we are there. ALL you know is what the liberal media tells you.
I I agree with sofia, pieta and luvgabe. Don't know why hollyweird thinks we care what their political views are. I don't watch tv anymore because I don't care for their political views. Just because you make millions doesn't mean your right.
To #26-Way to tell that idiot off!! It's people like that and our own f***ing president that are ruining this country!! To everyone who has a problem with Mr. Devito-GET A F***ING LIFE! Just because you all have a stick up your asses and don't know how to have fun don't bash someone who does.
