Danny DeVito -- Hammered on "The View"?

Danny DeVito says he and George Clooney had a long night out last night -- and by the look of things on "The View" this morning, it caught up with him.

DeVito, appearing as a guest on the show to plug his latest comedy, "Deck the Halls," told the View gals that he might not have gotten to sleep just yet ... before the 10 AM taping.

Then, cursing his seventh limoncello (a lemon liqueur) from the night before, DeVito went on an extended, Three Stooges-esque rant against President Bush, much of which was bleeped out by network censors. He also talked about making full use of the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House when he and wife Rhea Perlman stayed there.

Joy and Rosie laughed at DeVito's antics. Elisabeth seemed tolerably amused, despite the political slant. Barbara, however, was very much not so, glaring icily at the "limonized" DeVito.

DeVito's rep Stan Rosenfield tells TMZ that his client had asked for Barbara Walters' phone number today, and that he would say "what needed to be said privately" to her. Rosenfield also confirmed that DeVito and Clooney were out last night together, and that "they had a good time."

62. What's with those women on the view? So the man was a little tipsy--way to do Divito!!! He's human. He's living life to the fullest--some of you need to try it sometime instead of trying to be so self-righteous! He should've "barfed" all over them. Boy, that would've been great!!!! That little skinny upidity one would've fainted; Barbara's face "lifts" would've came undone; Joy probably would've punched him; and Rosie--being the Irish that she is--would've rolled over with laughter--then she'd punch him. The human race--you gotta love us!!!

64. LEAVE THESE PEOPLE ALONE ! Now you want to run their lives and most people cannot run their own ! What would you think if people were telling you how to run your life ! With as busy as these people get and sometimes hardly get enough time to have a life of their own without the publics scrutiny if he says he had some fun last night and did not get sleep, BIG DEAL ! You people that base your thoughts about one person doing one thing and you can't tell me that you have not been in a similar situation yourself, you are mad ! DON"T POINT THE FINGER UNLESS YOU DON"T WANT IT POINTED BACK AT YOU !
THEY ARE HUMAN, JUST LIKE YOU ! ! ! !

65. Why do we put any credence into what ENTERTAINERS or ATHLETES say or think? If you are going to grill Mel Gibson and Michael Richards for their remarks, I am equally offended by DeVito's lack of respect and sophomoric remarks about PRESIDENT BUSH! Freedom of speech....right. But lack of respect only make me not respect them.
Feet of clay...we all have feet of clay...

66. Dear Pieta:

While I believe DeVito's actions were inappropriate and I don't care for Rosie or her "in your face" activitism, I did find it interesting that you knew a TV celebrity was a draft dodger and defended Bush who was worse...he was AWOL...and the majority of the senior team leading this war in Iraq did not serve in the military. Ironic... Further, the liberties you enjoy (i.e. writing on here and speaking your thoughts) have been fought for by both liberals, moderates, conservatives and neo-conservatives. However, by your way of thinking, no one should have those rights but the religious right and neo-conservatives...sorry, not the way it will work here in America. If you like that approach, try Iran. You may be welcomed there.

67. What a shame that these "star" personalities continue to be allowed to act out in public. Then their antics are reported as news, shown over and over. This should be cut from any show or broadcast the minute someone starts to speak/act out. This is not amusing and is shameful to our values.

68. FU Willow!!! My son has been to Iraq twice , he knows why we are there. ALL you know is what the liberal media tells you.
I I agree with sofia, pieta and luvgabe. Don't know why hollyweird thinks we care what their political views are. I don't watch tv anymore because I don't care for their political views. Just because you make millions doesn't mean your right.

70. Who Cares? My goodness, god forbid people should actually have fun anymore and sometimes do stupid things..People in the media and in this

72. Tony Petros and all of the other Bushbots,
Instead of getting angry about someone making fun of dumbass Bush, why aren't you angry about the mess in Iraq. Why aren't you angry about Bush's INCOMPETENCE. Bush is a loser! He's lost Iraq, New Orleans, The House and the Senate, The World Trade Center. Thousands of lives in Iraq..The list goes on and on!! You dumbasses keep defending his actions, meanwhile he's keeping our troops in that hellhole, because he's too damn proud to admit it was a huge mistake. What the hell are our troops suppose to do now that Iraq is in a civil war...Take sides?? BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!!

73. We have become such an uptight society. 30 years ago, when I was little, I used to watch Dean Martin slur and stagger his way through his Celebrity Roasts and we all thought Dino was a fun guy. Today, if you get drunk or have any kind of fun, you are deemed despicable, dysfunctional, in need of rehab, and worthy of censure. The hypocrisy of it is that while we are all supposed to be teetotaling Stepford Zombies who have no opinions or personalities or peccadilloes, it's fine to be complacent, anesthetized sheep who are complicit in so much honest-to-goodness REAL evil (U.S. foreign policy, etc.) Cheers, Danny!!

74. To #26-Way to tell that idiot off!! It's people like that and our own f***ing president that are ruining this country!! To everyone who has a problem with Mr. Devito-GET A F***ING LIFE! Just because you all have a stick up your asses and don't know how to have fun don't bash someone who does.

75. Deep in the Heart of Dixie,
You must be out of your damn mind! It's called freedom of speech! Bush owes the world an apology for invading Iraq.
