Britney Does It with the Help, Again
It looks like Britney Spears is out with a new man – and it turns out that he used to work for the family.
Britney has been stepping out with Jonathan "J.R." Rotem, a multi-platinum music producer who's worked for Rihanna, Paris Hilton, and, yes, Kevin Federline. As Perezhilton.com notes, the pair were spied kissing in public on Sunday night, then went to a movie before heading back to Rotem's place. K-Fed, of course, was an employee before he became Mr. Spears.
Meanwhile, Paris Hilton has taken to MySpace to come out in support of what she calls Brit's "partying ethics." "For people to call out her parenting skills on behalf of her partying ethics is appalling," says Paris (according to MSNBC). "She goes home every night to her babies and partying has not come in the way of her parenting." Except, of course, when she spends the night at Paris' (or J.R.'s) house.
Richie's Arrest Caught on Tape
A camera trained on the 134 Freeway in Burbank recorded Nicole Richie's DUI arrest early Monday morning.
ABC Television has offices near the exit ramp which Richie used to enter the freeway going the wrong way. ABC security guards noticed the commotion on their monitors and trained their security camera in that direction.
The pictures show Richie talking to CHP officers. We're told she admitted that she had taken Vicodin and smoked pot. TMZ also obtained the 9-1-1 dispatch tape from the motorists who witnessed Nicole Richie driving the wrong way on the 134 Freeway in Burbank.
Richie's attorney, Howard Weitzman, exclusively tells TMZ "This is a difficult time for Nicole but she is prepared to accept whatever responsibility is appropriate. She intends to continue with her career and will deal with any other issues that need to be addressed."
Jessica Simpson -- Next Train Wreck?
Can someone just read the lines for Jessica Simpson? The singer-sometimes-actress had trouble with the lyrics to "9 to 5" at the Kennedy Center Honors, and now she's having difficulty remembering her lines on the set of "Blonde Ambition." According to Star magazine, the director had to hide a mic in her ear so that someone could just feed her the lines during the seventh take on one shot. "Everyone was embarrassed for her," says a source. "But she laughed it off, saying, 'I'm sorry, everyone. I'm sorry.'" Jessica had at least one supporter: Co-star Luke Wilson "patted her on the back and told her it would be okay."
Foxy Says She's "Not Like Others" on Probation
Kick and slap-happy rapper Foxy Brown says she refused to sit in a Brooklyn probation office during the late evening without security because her "safety" was "in jeopardy," as she was surrounded by "all kinds of criminals." And because of that refusal, and for allegedly trying to circumvent other terms of her probation, Foxy Brown was hauled back into court yesterday. Brown was sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault in August for kicking one employee and smacking another at a nail salon. Brown was warned by a judge to comply with her probation or risk jail time.
