Britney Spears -- No More Promises

Britney Spears has finished her nearly month-long rehab stint -- and has checked out of Promises in Malibu.

The pop princess left the treatment facility late yesterday "after successfully completing their program," said her manager, Larry Rudolph, in a statement released by Jive Records. As TMZ reported yesterday, Spears has made an amazing turnaround since she entered Promises on February 22. What's more, as we reported, she and Kevin Federline have agreed share custody of their sons temporarily as they finalize their divorce.

Meanwhile, things aren't quite so amazing for K-Fed. As Page Six reports, the one-time rapper has had to cancel his birthday party in Hollywood tonight at Eleven nightclub, possibly because party sponsors bailed. Federline had reportedly tried to get a glossy magazine to cover the bash – for $25,000 – but none of them bit. According to his rep, Kevin "decided that one party was enough."

Richie Collapses on "Life" Set?

Nicole Richie suffered a collapse on the set of "The Simple Life" last week, and her health issues are slowing down the production – and pissing off co-star Paris Hilton. According to Ben Widdicombe of the New York Daily News, the health-challenged Richie had to be "taken to her trailer immediately" after the on-set incident, and that at times she has "had trouble walking and speaking clearly," though no ambulances have been called. The show's co-creator, Jon Murray, told the Daily News, "There were a couple times when [Nicole] felt a little woozy and she sat down for a moment, [but] we continued within five to ten minutes." Murray adds that Richie also suffered a "dehydration thing" earlier.

Brandy Replaced by Sharon Osbourne on "Talent"?

Troubled pop princess Brandy Norwood could be replaced as a judge on Simon Cowell's "America's Got Talent" by Sharon Osbourne, reports the New York Post, citing a report on Televisionary. With significant legal trouble in Brandy's future, stemming from her involvement in a car accident in which a woman was killed, as TMZ first reported, Osbourne may step-in to take Brandy's spot. Studio sources say that talks are "ongoing" with Osbourne, who also appears as a judge on Cowell's blockbuster UK talent-contest hit, "X-Factor." NBC had no comment.

Party Favors: Lindsay Dogs It Two Times ... Terrence Howard: "I Am A Difficult Man" ... Cruise Set for WWII Thriller

Lindsay Lohan has a couple of new boytoys – dogs, that is. La Lohan tells GQ (via Page Six), in an interview conveyed by text message, that she bought two puppies in a "sober impulse" purchase. One is a Jack Russell terrier named Brooklyn, who's white and black ("like Chanel") and a Yorkie called Dakota ("like my movie name and my lil bro"). Lohan tells the mag that she's hoping the pooches will help her stay home at night. ... Actor Terrence Howard tells The Sports Interview that he might not be the easiest guy to get along with in a relationship. "I am gonna have trouble with any woman that I am with because I am a difficult man, but I might as well have trouble with somebody that I really love." ... Tom Cruise will start work on an untitled World War II thriller for director Bryan Singer this summer, reports Variety, with a script by Chris McQuarrie, with whom Singer teamed for "The Usual Suspects."

17. Your comments asking where is Lionel are rediculous. Nicole is a grown adult and he has spoken publicly about his constant involvement to help her. He can not follow her around and Nicole will do what she wants to do. Stop blaming the parents, their peers have more influence then any parent has. I don't blame Britney from leaving early, do you really think another week is life changing? Self-righteous AA people are worse than people who recently quit smoking, annoying!!! AA meetings are the most depressing thing you could be exposed to. Whining losers, who chain smoke, drink gallons of coffee, and just replace one addiction for another. Lung cancer will kill them before any addiction will. I would rather end my life than know AA meetings were my daily life. Attend a meeting sometime and you will be scared sober. Good luck Britney!

20. Um, it's real normal you have to buy dogs to 'help you stay home at night'. This girl needs a MOTHER - not a PIG who's out doing drugs with her at night. It's a shame that she has succumb to what she has...she looks awful (not aging well at atll..), has nothing left for her and the world thinks of her as a joke. 21. On Spears - one month in rehab doesn't mean squat. She needs a total overhaul to her life and her psyche. She's too skrewed up and needs to be constantly watched and on a lease. She should only be congratualted after several years of consistent good behavior.

On Brandy - happy to see this reckless, over-indulged, and over-rated non-talent get yanked off of the US show. Hopefully, the UK show will be next to yank her off of their show.

On Nicole - who is counseling her on what is an appealing image? Is she preparing for a role in a movie about starving people in third world countries? She's also screwed up and desperately needs medical and psychologicsal intervention.

22. oooo britney lasted 30 days in rehab...she's off the flight deck...lets see if she can handle an outpatient program.....hopefully promises will steer her towards one, whether it be her own or someone elses....i completed one after six months and i am still clean and sober, lets see if she lasts 90 days..........I am not expecting her to last 3 weeks.....but thats my Honest opinion, maybe she will suprise us all.....

23. Britney hasn't been in treatment for a month and there's no way she could have
"successfully completed the program". These celebrities that go to rehab as a
marketing gimmic make me sick. Recovery is serious business and she made
it look like a big joke. I'm sick of her and the rest of the dumb blondes out there who
spend their lives whining about how good they have it. The best thing the media could
do is just stop reporting, photographing, interviewing and following them. The media has the power to make or break a star. I say its time they focus their attention on people who deserve it and stop wasting everyone's time on the Brittneys, Lindseys, Nicoles, etc. They serve no purpose to society and have no talent. The media made them the little monstors they are, craving atttention at the expense of their children or
their mental health. Really, its absurd. If the media would just treat them as the
insignificant pond scum they have become maybe they would wise up and make
something of themselves worthy of attention or else just go away. Either would be
an improvement. If the media focused on people and issues of substance, things
that mattered, they could probably change the world.

25. Didn't we just read that she was making out with some dude in the bushes at the rehab facility? Drinking excessive amounts of Coke? Shopping online, throwing tantrums, wanting a maid to come and clean her room/wing? But now, a few days later, she's made a complete recovery/turnaround? What freakin' planet is she living on? Or better yet, what planet does her manager and her "people" think WE'RE from? I'm quite certain recovery doesn't happen in a few short weeks, and then boom, you're "cured". Britney treats this all like a joke and I'm sure this big announcement is part of some plan to get her career going again. Hmmm, I thought she had TWO BABIES to look after. My mistake. I'm sure because the hype surronding her died down, she had to get an announcement out there, that she is all better now, so the press can start talking about her again and then she can complain that they won't leave her alone, so then they will leave her alone and then she'll have to make another announcement and so on and so on......sickening really. Hey Britney, try this: Be a mom to your boys, forget your career and try to live a decent life.
