"Oui," Wee Suri

Suri and her mother were seen shopping in Paris yesterday, and lil' Suri showed more emotion than her mother has since she got married. The Paris shopping spree seemed painful for the precious Scientolotot!

While on the town, photogs spotted Suri, 1, crying when mom took a pen away from her ... but as soon as the waterworks were turned on, mom caved and gave it back! No emotion, ever!!

The brown-bobbed duo is in gay ol' Paree while daddy is in Germany making that Hitler movie.

It looks more like she was crying because she bumped her head...then Katie gave her the marker so she wouldnt cry anymore. I never saw her take it away.

come on TMZ! She's a 1-year-old. Every video and every picture you have EVER snapped of this little girl shows her laughing, smiling or sleeping. She cries ONCE in a year that is caught on tape and you have to turn it around negatively. Why is it that you cut the tape the way you did? Didn't fit your story? You don't know it's a pen - it could be one of those little pen-looking flashlights? Stop putting your own spin on things. You couldn't even hear what was being said to make the comments you made. This is probably the happiest A-list celebubaby in Hollywood.

#9 and #10-

you both got it right. She's crying because she bumped her head, and that magic marker is more of a threat to her beautiful clothes.

Did that car drive away with her holding the baby on her lap?!?

I second that Kristii!!!
I watched it a few times and didn't see what they are talking about. And for all of you who are being critic’s it is hard to set time aside for yourself when you have kids, I am sure it is near impossible when you have the world watching and judging you too.
It is apparent that Katie is a good mother who was patient with her........
And Helena it was not that big of an issue that you need to post it twice. It was not like she gave her a knife. IT WAS A PEN/MARKER!!!!!

So Katie has "polished" her appearance. Would you rather she pull a Brit or a Paris or a Nicole, wear ripped pants, a bad weave, a frown, flipping off paps left and right in front of her child (and mine!) and relying on Tom to protect her pantiless crotch? She knows she's got all eyes on her, probably hates it, but at least she has the intelligence to know if she's going to be photographed anyway she would rather be photographed looking put-together than like she just stumbled out of a bar!

Its so easy to judge other parents but if we were all honest with ourselves, we would admit that we all have done something like this before. Especially if your time is limited and you have to hurry up with the shopping. I'd rather indulge the child at that moment for some peace. Give me a break.

You don't hand a baby ANY kind of a pen for ANY reason, and it is stupid to make excuses for Katie's poor judgement that could have been harmful to her child. What's wrong with actually HOLDING the child and COMFORTING the child, or would that be too much trouble when there is SO much shopping to do. Katie is such a waste, all she does is shop and follow Tom arounf like a Stepford wife. I have no respect for her or Tom and Scientology is a cult that Katie just handed her child over to in exchange for enough money to shop forever. And all the Tom and Katie PR people here don't fool anyone, Tom and Katie pay an agency to stay glued to the blogs and write the same old things about them day after day after day. SO lame, anyone with a job like that must be so totally lame!

No car seat? How do you know? Can you see into the car? Do you see the car pulling away after Katie gets in? No. For all you judgemental people out there, it was raining (hence the umbrella), the bodyguard helped them into the car, closed the door, and Katie put Suri into the carseat which was already in the car, before the bodyguard went around to the driver's door, got in and took them back to the hotel. TMZ is great at editing photos and cutting video to maximize your negative celebrity comments.

The only thing more lame than watching blogs as your job is to do it for the sheer pleasure of seeing how miserable somebody else's life is, right Boone?

She bumped her head - that's why she's crying. Leave them alone- it's obvious they love their daughter!

she is too cute. How she throws her self on the floor face down when they take her pen away. What an actress!

Suri is the cutest little girl. She reminds me of my daughter when she was that age.

So, Sheri was actually there, LOL. I have never personally given any of my children dangerous objects to shut them up. No, I am not a perfect parent, but I am smart enough to go places PREPARED for such occurrances, and I always bring SAFE toys and soft cookie (prevents the choking that can happen from crackers) in case something like this happens. A pen, sorry, marking or otherwise, that would NOT be something I would ever consider giving a toddler, and only the Tom/Cat camp would be defending such a lack of common sense. By now, Katie should have figured out to leave prepared so she doesn't have to resort to pens to quiet her child.
