125. How sad after everything that has happened, that this "kid" can't see how his friends life, and the lives of his family, will forever be changed because he had to show off...... one can only hope he will really some day see what has happened and quit focusing on himself!!!

126. I hope karma plays a hand at him getting what is due to him.

127. C'mon...This kid still has a valid driver's license???

In addition to losing his license and jail time, Nick should be required to do volunteer physical therapy work with patients suffering from massive brain injuries for the rest of his life.

Polaroid, you must be desperate to endorse someone who has no respect for human life.
Shame on you!

129. With regard to his 'vegetable friend? He's no better than hogan! And so the young were caught up in the fast fast fast of drag-racing. They were both gambling with their lives, not to mention gambling with the rest of us on the roads. Marketing tells us that fast fast fast is where it's at and we buy it. Fast cars, faster computers, faster dial-up, more power. Reminds me of Ford commercial last year; father and son in a new 'Mustang. Father burns rubber across a parking lot and then ask the son if he wants to see him do it again? And so we have cars that will go 200-MPH, but for no roads to legally drive them that fast. If you fall for the 'speed-bug and buy a fast car, or a "sports-car" or even a 4-wheel drive 'suv. You will pay the premiums, the insurance & the sticker price for a vehicle you will never be able to drive that fast on city streets, and you probably won't drive your 'suv off-roading because you will only devalue it. Sell us on speed; we fall for it, and then we blame everybody else when we hear about things like 'street-racing. Maybe we should blame those who are allowed to sell it, rather than those who buy it and then only end up killing someone? It could have easily been 'hogan who ended up a vegetable. The kid in the hospital bed was no saint! So hogan walked away and his friend didn't. The simple truth is hogan didn't die that day, and what's he suppose to do? Crawl in a corner and die? It doesn't work that way. It's not fair, but he has to get on with his life. That's the cold hard reality of life. I hope he at least goes to jail & has to pay a real price before this chapter/tragedy comes to an end, but I have no delusions...Thank you...I said his 'friend was no better than he was: his friend had real potential and threw it away. Hogan on the other hand has yet to show that he is worth the air he breaths, but it was just the luck of the draw. There are no winners in the tragedy. A young man with potential was cut short (tragedy) and we are left with hogan (tragedy). No winners:(

130. If he cares about his friend he'll quit driving -- at least quit driving fast cars (he's proven he's not that good at it!)

131. Punkass jerk, you should be in the PMITA prison for as long as your so called friend is paralized.

132. That's great his friend is brian dead but we will make sure to pray for him to do great in his racing career. What a joke. This is someone who should never be able do drive again and needs to spend a hell of alot of time in prison. He needs to learn the world does not revole around him. If paris went to jail on a probation violation he should do hard time over lamost killing/or killing someone. Depends on how you look at it. Dad's money can't buy his way out of this mess. I wish his friend all the best and prey for him and his family everynight.

133. How disgustingly insensitive. This child doesn't have a clue as to what he has cost the parents and family of his "friend" John. These people are going through the worst thing that could EVER happen to a parent. Their child is on life support and for all intents and purposes is dead. His mother will never again get a hug or an "I love you Mom" from her son. It's devastating. I know how she feels, I lost my son too he was only 19 days old when he died and its the something that you don't recover from you just learn to live with it. When this story first came out I was hoping that Nick could maybe learn from this experience and maybe be a role model and admit what he did was reckless and dangerous. He could have taken this tragic accident (it was an accident he didn't do it intentionaly but that DOES NOT excuse his lack of judgement) and maybe do some good, like going to high schools and speaking about the dangers of racing and reckless driving. But he didn't and that's just so sad. For a company to sponsor him in an endevor that he obviously has had no training for and in which he could potenially hurt others is irresponsible. Also his parents should also take a measure of responsibility for the accident. They should never have bought him a car he didn't have the maturity to handle. Because of who his father is it seems he has grown up with a sense of entitlement, that rules don't apply to him. What if it hadn't been his friend who was injured? But an innocent family or an elderly couple or a person on their way home? And what if it had been any of these and they died? I wonder if his my space page would be any different. And in this case it seems that the rules didn't apply, why wasn't he taken in the first time he was caught going so fast? If it had been any of us regular folk our a** would have been in jail. I hope that Johns family will survive this ordeal somehow and I hope and pray to God that maybe there will be a miracle and John will wake up and be healthy again. This is just an unfair situation. I also hope that Nick will one day realize what it is he has done and maybe change the way he acts.
