Plumply-lipped Nicollette Sheridan doesn't have to pay for paparazzi protection -- she'll just pluck some off the streets!

The "Desperate Housewife" was on Bedford Blvd. in Beverly Hills today -- and in no mood to answer TMZ's questions about her never-ending engagement to Michael Bolton. Luckily for her, one crazy homeless woman swooped in to her rescue -- threatening to "f**k up" our photog.

TMZ says homeless and we believe it. Shoot...all black people must be poor, right? No one questions why Nicolette would just hug a random homeless person? or why they would enter the bldg together? Hmmm....

Obviously, you are not a local. SHE IS homeless. She replaced the guy in the wheelchair who was there forever. The video is by a parking lgarage that is outside of several Dr.'s offices. Next time, don't assume that TMZ doesn't know what the hell they're talkng about. Sometimes they get it right.
