Burning Man -- an eclectic art and music festival in the Nevada desert -- was hit by a major dust storm yesterday, forcing some of the 49,000 event-goers to load up their VW vans and hit the mellow highway.
No injuries were reported -- but it's probably because they haven't found anybody yet.

(Page 1 of 2)They're a bunch of idiots. Every year its the same story. The reason they keep going back is they like being dirty hippies.
Festivals like this used to be a really good time w/o having to spend a whole bunch of money. I went to the Burning Man back when it wasn't even heard of! Now all these types of festivals are not as fun and totally overcrowded. Not to mention the freaking trash that's left behind when it's all over. Personally I think that people have forgotten what these things were all about. Now it's all commercialized and filled w/ sponsorship. I am really sad that this event has become so mainstream because it has nothing to do with what the originators had in mind when they had the first one 15 or 16 yrs ago...
Hey, that's my wife that dirt bag is kissing !!! Bitch's gonna turn-tail back into that god forsaken place when she gets home... WITH A NEW GOTH LOOK !!!!
BURNING MAN = GLOBAL WARMING
HIPPIES ARE KILLING US
I HATE HIPPIES!
Just looked on this link because I heard it had some Burning Man clips on it. "cutthecrap" needs to not talk about things he or she does not know. B-Man is a leave no trace event and trash is not left behind or the festival couldn't exist. It is not all hippies either...you have no idea. Keep being shallow...oh I forgot this is the TMZ website. How do you wannabes say it..."my bad!."
Hippies? C'mon TMZ....check your facts. The roster holds waaay more than hippies there.
Would anyone go on a date with any of these dudes?
I couldn't keep a straight face around a guy who took this seriously.
Sooo 90's
nyak nyak nyak
Wow, why so much negativity around an event that is based on radical self expression, love, and creation? "Hippies" in the case of Burningman are a cross section of people from all walks of life, CEO's to Bartenders. The level of creativity is astonishing and the people who go are really lucky to be a part of it. There is no "sponsership" of any kind...and for those of you who think it's not about the original intention of the creators, you should talk to the creators. Any event worth its salt has its own evolution in mind from the very beginning. It's a beautiful thing that it's not the same as it was. Go next year, get hugged by "dirty hippies" and you'll see what I mean. Happy travels!
I just got back from my 10th burn!!! Best party on the planet .... fantastic time. There are all kinds of poeple there, not just hippies. I've actually never seen so many sexy poeple in one place. HOT HOT HOT! The dust storms are fun... you never know who you might encounter in a dust cloud. I'm glad narrow minded negative poeple don't show up... They probably wouldnt have fun and Im sure they are happier staying home and reading trashy news about poeple they will never meet.
If you find sitting around in miserable conditions comfortable you have to be high. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
...Yeah, burning man sucks. there are dust storms 90% of the time, and random schlongs flapping in the wind, weather beaten boobs hanging to knees, people abducted by other camps, bikes get stolen, no safety intervention or warnings for objects that shouldn't be climbed. You have to eat camp food and truck in all your water. Its hot. Its a barren ugly desert. Its a lot of people who pretend they care but really are only interested in themselves.
