4. Is this before or after he stayed at the Howard Johnson's Motel between filming? What, no continental breakfast?! Oh the humanity!

5. I'm no doctor, but his stitched up finger looks pretty good to me. No?

8. wow. bad stitching indeed. he really should get proper attention for it if he cares about his finger. if he stays out with it sewn like that, he'd probably get a nasty infection. :S

10. That is nothing, I almost cut off my finger with a skinning ax years ago.. a little duct tape and a finger splint and I was good to go.. and I'm a girl!!

11. I hope Bear gets a surgeon to look at that near amputation. A nasty infection could damage the nerves and tendons and leave the finger useless. One of these days, Les Stroud and Bear have got to get together and compare scars. Now that would be a show in itself.

12. That's NOTHING! I've gotten worse cuts from cardboard! I have gashed most of my fingers, and my hands, many times over, with razor knives, and MOST times I have simply superglued it and put butterfly strips or tape over it, and continued working. Rare few cases that I felt serious enough to actually "stitch". If you lose use of a finger, big deal, you have more... :)

Now, I do agree he should take care of it, to avoid infection, because infection is no laughing matter!
