Mickey Rourke

Good Genes

or Good Docs?

5/30/2009 3:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Mickey Rourke rebuilt his damaged career by playing "The Wrestler" ... and he doesn't have the scars to prove it.

Mickey Rourke
Here's the 31-year-old back in 1984 (left) -- and 25 years later, the 56-year-old version earlier this year (right).

He's as good as new.

If TMZ ever put up something favorable about Mickey Rourke, I would eat my panties. Why do you guys love to hate on him. He always gets the most comments whenever you post something, maybe that's why. His face got bashed in when he was boxing and he has gone on the record as saying he went to the wrong guy to fix his face. Probably didn't have the right amount of cash for a good surgeon as he was on the hollywood D list. I think he has made an amazing comeback and resurrected his career and life. From reports in the media he seems to be getting alot of tail. Lay off Mickey or print something nice for a change.

You're kidding, right? There is no way that either "good genes" or a "good doc" is involved in this dude's face. He was a good looking guy in his youth and now he is totally different! Who paid you TMZ to pose this question??

On another site they mention that he has no sideburns which is a tell tale sign that he's had numerous surgeries where the doc placed his foot on the back of Mickey's head and grabbed both sides of his face and sewed them together behind his head. Kinda like stretching an inner tube.

Mickey is a gorgeous man then and now. What that hot Irishman needs is an even hotter Italian woman that will rock his world. We'd be like Fire and Brimstone together. Come on Mickey, I Dare You!!!

He did have a unique and quirky sort of attractiveness but he ruined it.
