AEG Wants a Piece of the Action

AEG AEG has filed legal papers asking for a heads up on all matters relating to the probate of Michael Jackson's estate.

The papers entitle AEG to receive all legal papers, including notices of court hearings, connected to the probate.

It's unclear if AEG is teeing up a financial claim against the estate.

An AEG rep says they have an interest in the probating of Jackson's will because "a vast majority" of the money the company will generate will go into the estate.

Stay tuned...

money-the root of all evil!!!!!!!!!!!! thats sad. I thought the insurance took care of aeg's costs. give it up on trying to get money out of the dead man. Time for AEG to invite a new live circus act like britney spears for money if thats what they need.

Sick.

I hope this doesn't happen. These bloodsuckers have been doing everything they can to make a profit. But to top it all off AEG president Phillips is going around all the TV networks telling us how he was "best friends" with Jackson, while denying he had any knowledge of his drug habits, which everyone else seemed to know about. Particularly many of the people who worked with him on the HIStory tour and also worked on this one. Kinda unlikely for a successful businessman, who'd have researched his big investment, not to know about these issues. Furthermore, at the time of Jackson's death AEG was paying for this doctor, who could not have checked out and could only have been supplying Jackson with drugs. Phillips isn't a fool. But he sure is ruthless, cunning and duplicitous.

AEG failed in their duty of care, to say the least. Probably facilitated and aggravated Jackson's addictions and now this?
It's sick!

Actually, I have been waiting and anticipating for them. I just knew that at some point they would emerge. Why oh why, I wonder why? Maybe the raid on the doctor's office today? Was this supposed to go down as a drug overdose? They would just recoup their money and move on? My head hurts from all this drama. I hope if they were culpable, they nail their asses to the wall.

OMG! I had *up till now* been siding with AEG. Their actions *so far* were commendable. I will continue to keep an open mind, but should they go after the estate, they had better be prepared to explain in great detail to MJ's fans *why* because wouldn't you bet his fans would boycott anything AEG related if it were for greed that they are joining.

What other possibles could explain why they are doing this?

To keep the family up to date? (well, I would think they'd get the same papers)... so nope.
To recoup some of the seed money they fronted MJ? Likely.
To file suit if AEG is forced to pay LA back for costs of the memorial? Hmmm. Maybe.
They sold film and rights to Sony for the footage. Something in this arena is possible.

Hell I don't know. Why would they want to be in on the action? Who are they siding with? (Sony? Family? AEG?) Perplexing addition to the already confusing mess.

WHEN will they bury Michael?

Wow, unbelieveable...money, money, money. So sad.

Would also like to see contract, see if Michael agreed to 50 concerts in writing.

TMZ...would like some info on those jerks that formed "NEVER!" the Anti-Neverland tourism group! Stupid, with CA economy the way it is to turn down a money maker! Neverland should be a Museum!

Also, what about Omer Bhatti..anything on that?

All I want is the truth...good, bad, happy, sad......just the truth.

Charly,

You are right, would you front a drug addict 60 million dollars up front fees for a concert tour you weren't sure he may or may not perform in. That's an awful big risk.
