I watched 'Sesame Street' daily when I was a kid growing up in Canada...so, it wasn't just children growing up in US. Probably the best children's show ever made!

I loved Maria as a child. In fact still love her now for all the happiness and entertainment she and all the characters on Sesame Street brought to children.
