Tim Tebow's Super Bowl Ad -- That Was It?

2/8/2010 7:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

After weeks of hype and outrage, the Super Bowl commercial with Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow finally aired Sunday night -- so what was all the fuss about?

The ad, paid for by Focus on the Family, features Tim and his mom -- but doesn't make mention whatsoever of any political issue (*cough cough abortion).

If you want to be upset about anything that went on during the Super Bowl -- take your anger out on whoever booked The Who for the halftime show.

To younger gen, The Who is 'the guys who do the CSI theme songs'. They sang all 3 CSI openings.

So, they were really promoting "CSI", not themseleves, a new release, or a concert tour.

They didn't disappoint me. I love that they are still "bookable" for the event. Just because there was no giggling half-naked asses and choreographed manufactured contemporary no talents, doesn't make a boring show. Maybe I'm getting too old for TMZ. . .sad.

#9, I agree with you -- a woman should be able to do what she wants with her body--up unto the point that it harms another. That little blob inside has a heartbeat, different DNA than the mom, and is undeniably a potential life. Where is the choice for the potential baby? This is not a religeous issue, but one of ethics.

THIS is what people are making a stink over? If I hadn't heard all the hype around the ad I wouldn't have known it had anything to do with abortion. The far left must be really bored and looking for a fight. Utterly ridiculous to even suggest that their was anything controversial about this ad. What morons.

Ok TMZ, stop letting the weekend bums you have running the website bash The Who.

Honestly... who doesn't enjoy The Who?

Correction #11. The ad was NOT about a woman's right to choose. It was about the sanctity of LIFE.

The Who is getting along however they were and always will be a legendary kick a$$ rock n roll band!Way better than this crappity crap being rolled off the conveyor belt out there today.By the way Focus on the Family is a Right Wing hate group!

How did this thread become an opinion forum over the halftime show? Apparently, posters can't here can't concentrate to a specific theme. Then, I'll chime. The Who's performance;
Real players performing.
Real singer.
Performed LIVE!
No dancers to cloak inadequacy.
And no faking to background tracks.
Superb!

I wanna get pregnant just to know what an abortion feels like. My husband told me that if I get pregnant, we'd suck that thing down a drain so fast it would make the pope's head spin! (Good trick, dude!)
