they never gave her a chance to show her stuff on "angels"!!! but hse was much, much better than tanya roberts. i'd tke claudia jennings over the wooden tanya. but shelley was class personified. she could be the only tiffany wells!!!

she's not a great actress but to say she couldn't act is just soooo stupid. save for jate jackson, none of the angels were really good actresses. but who cares, they looked terrific. and where glamour is conerned, shelley and jaclyn wee way up there!!!!

Tanya was more famous than Shelley Hack? What a laugh. Show was cancelled when Tanya came on board; first ep with Tanya and you already know that the show was dead as a corpse. Nobody said Shelley was a better actress than Kate Jackson. But Shelley held her ground inspite of the bad writing. She was classy, sweet and funny. It's obvious when you see Shelley looking quite well at 62. Tanya nowadays looks exactly like a washout porn star that she was! No one really remembers Tanya as an angel and she was nothing more than an extra in James Bond. In fact, she's considered the worst Bond extra ever.

I seem to recall Shelley was terrible in CA,but she aquitted herself in a later hospital drama...St Elsewhere,perhaps? She wasn't bad in it,that I do remember.
The Charlie perfume ads were great though.Very elegant.

Shelley was a better actress than many people would care to admit. They say she was bad during the 1979-1980 season Charlie's Angels yet she was great in her 1980 guest appearance on the Love Boat. Her 1981 performance in Vanities elicited praise from critics. She was talented enough to be cast by Martin Scorsese in The King of Comedy(1983)opposite no less than Robert De Niro and Jerry Lewis; and she her performance was widely praised as well. Her performance in The Stepfather was also widely praised.
As for sex appeal, her Revlon Charlie perfume endorsement is enough proof of the extent of her appeal. After she began endorsing it, sales skyrocketed to the billions and Charlie became the best-selling scent in the whole world, YES, the whole world.
Yes, everyone, she is pretty, appealing and a well-praised actress.
What I don't get is, why she had to be prettier and sexier than Jaclyn or Cheryl? Kate wasn't.
